Rumors have it in the pizza world, is you ever wanna try a places best pizza always order a personal pie, that will tell you how they really are. So I ordered a personal Mushroom, Plain and a specialty one. Let me tell you this, IF you like a good crunch pizza..... On every bite.... Good flavor that stands tall..... This is the place to go.... ABSOLUTELY, so far, one of the best around.... This hole in a wall will surprise the s#$& out of you. Next time I will go for a full size pie and tell you how that goes....It will be interesting... I have been in places where I love there personal size and didn't like there full size....and let me add..... It was so good that I ate the personal Mushroom before I got home and I love down the road in Morristown... That's how good this wasI AM TELLING YOU if you like a crunch to your pizza, and you eat the whole slice.... This places personal pie is just for you....The two guys behind the counter was extremely nice... One had to be the owner, a bigger guy great personality and knew his stuff.... “Delicious food and nice staff. The food is fantastic, from pizza to salads. I love their breaded chicken pizza but recently I have been obsessed with their classic mushroom and onion pizza. This place is a great choice you if are in the Gladstone or even the Basking Ridge area, where they opened another location. Definitely my go-to spot for pizza takeout.

Now for my standard comments. Location is clean and well kept. A classic pizza joint with a handful of tables to sit at.“

“3.5 star review rounded up to a 4. Mixed experience. The cashier I spoke with initially was extremely friendly and quick to help when part of my order was missing. I ordered several items for delivery including chicken francese, a veggie panini, an eggplant parm sub, garlic knots, and a kid's mac and cheese. One salad and the fries that were shown as part of the kid's meal were missing.

To their credit, they immediately offered to send a driver back out with the missing items. However, when the driver returned, he only brought the salad. When I called again, the manager explained that the kid's meals actually do not come with fries and that the menu needs to be corrected. I understand mistakes happen, but when something is advertised as part of a meal, it is reasonable for a customer to expect it.

What surprised me was the solution offered. Instead of simply sending the fries or refunding that portion while letting us keep the meal, I was told a driver could come back to pick up the mac and cheese in order to process a refund. That felt unnecessarily complicated over something as small as fries.

The food quality itself was very good, and the initial customer service was excellent, which is why I’m leaving a positive review overall. I just hope the menu gets corrected and that situations like this are handled a bit more flexibly in the future.“

“I ordered on a Friday evening and ordered online. The online system gave me an approximate delivery time. Knowing it’s a Friday, I knew the estimated time couldn’t possibly be correct. After a while, I called just to get an update. The staff was very friendly. The food arrived hot and was delicious!“

“My very Italian New York family and some friends joined us for a celebration at Chianti Wood Fired Pizza (Bernardsville) this past Saturday evening and they are still raving about the delicious food and quality service. We had originally booked a party of 15 and due to unforeseen circumstances ended up having 22 people show up. Frank was so gracious about it and quickly added tables and chairs. The food kept coming and we ate until we rolled out of there. I wish I could pick a favorite food we had but everything was so delicious that I can't decide. The calamari, brussel sprouts and grandma's pizza immediately come to mind. We plan on returning for future celebration and will hopefully get the number of guests right lol.“

“A Hidden Gem in Wharton That Keeps Getting Better!

This evening we had a truly wonderful dinner at Reno’s Pizzeria and Restaurant in Wharton, NJ. From start to finish, everything about our visit was top-notch. Our server, Shirley, was incredibly attentive—friendly, prompt, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. What really stood out, though, was that Reno himself came by to check in and ensure we were enjoying our evening. It’s not every day you see that level of care and pride from an owner, and it absolutely elevated the experience.

We started with two fantastic appetizers—the eggplant rollatini and little neck clams in marinara sauce. Both were delicious, fresh, and beautifully prepared. For entrees, we chose the mahi mahi in mango sauce special and the shrimp scampi over linguini. Each dish was cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. Compliments to the chef—truly excellent work in the kitchen!

We ended our meal on a sweet note with the mini cannolis, which were perfectly crispy and bursting with flavor.

Although Reno’s (formerly Maria’s) has been a staple in town for some time, their recent expansion into a charming sit-down dining area has added so much to the local dining scene. It’s cozy, welcoming, and a perfect spot for a relaxed and satisfying dinner. Reno’s is a real asset to Wharton, and we’ll definitely be back! (PS It's BYOB!)“

“Carmine's is our go to place whenever we crave Italian or a cheesesteak. Husband and I were there yesterday for late lunch. Excellent pasta fagioli soup, huge slices of pizza, and overstuffed, cheesesteak. Great service and reasonable prices. We were informed there is an extra charge if you're not paying cash. This is becoming a common practice and we were informed of it. Server was excellent and made us feel welcome. I was asked if I knew of any pizza parlors served gluten free and of course I recommended Carmine's.“
