Everything was absolutely delicious! The quality of the pasta was incredible; the red sauce on the veal was different- more sweet and herbaceous than I'm used to. “Had the pleasure of stopping into Iorio Deli with friends Eric from Cultinary Road Trip and Tyler from Foodula. Had the chance to meet “The Boss” Gilda and her son Joe as well as the rest of the very friendly and helpful staff here. We tried a plethora of things so this may take a minute haha.Started off with two stuffed breads - A Reuben as well as a Pepperoni roll. The Reuben had a great flavor and the bread itself was tasty. It was slightly odd in my mind to eat a Reuben without grilled rye, but I enjoyed this. The pepperoni stuffed bread was also good and was even better with the addition of some sauce (they called it gravy and I thought I was in trouble haha).After that we were hit with some delicious Italian items including their house made meatballs, Italian sausage and peppers, and chicken Parmesan. The meatballs were just rated #1 in Central Jersey and #2 in the entire state of NJ at the Pizza Bowl a few months back. I could see why. Very tender, perfectly seasoned, and again that sauce/gravy was killer. To be honest though, I may have enjoyed the sausage even more! I mentioned how I didn’t get hit with that typical overwhelming pop from fennel seed and Joe said they make it with ground fennel so the flavor is still there but it’s not so in your face. I loved, and I mean loved, this sausage. The chicken parm was also very good but I had a small piece because I knew what was coming next!We finished off by trying two sandwiches that Iorio is well known for. The first was “The Jocelyn” which was a roast beef and Swiss melt on an onion roll, and the second was “The Sloppiest Joe” which was a North NJ staple “sloppy joe” but in epic proportions. The Jocelyn had good flavor and the onion roll was a nice touch and change of pace. The sloppiest Joe is sitting inside the top 3 I’ve had probably ever. The meats were freshly sliced and piled high, the rye was super fresh, and the Cole slaw had get flavor and added welcomed creaminess to the sandwich.As if there was any doubt at all - Iorio Deli in Roselle Park, NJ - Didn’t Suck!“

Pros The staff, from the manager, assistants, and bartender were all friendly and helpful throughout the whole process of our event when needed. They definitely went above and beyond for us! The food was really good too and come with a quite a beautiful dessert wall. Further they have some things some venues don't have, like a red carpet, wall lights, and a TV. Cons We did have issues with the speakers connecting with our music (Apple Music) but it may have worked better if you used Spotify. It didn't take away from the event at all! Odds and Ends The venue is a bit small which can be good or a bad thing depending on the number of people you may have. Overall, if you are looking for a small event and are in the area, I definitely recommend it!“

“I am a very happy repeat client of Domenick Rizzo Catering! In early June, I hired Dom to host an upscale cocktail party to celebrate my son's law school graduation. Dom and his team are amazing! He is so easy to collaborate with, worked within my budget, and came up with such fun and innovative ideas. Ex: doing cool drink pairings to accompany each of the passed hors d'oeuvres. So we had Shrimp ceviche with fresh mango and avocado paired with a white sangria shot, Black bean and roasted corn empanada's with a chipotle creme paired with a margarita shot, lobster rolls paired with a shot of sam adams beer, Hoison pork belly Boa Buns paired with a shot of Japanese beer, and so much more, including grill stations and beautifully displayed grazing tables. All of the food was absolutely delicious - everyone was commenting on it! “Most people are probably familiar with the superb catering of Jane and Maggie, but please don't forget they offer meals for lunch and dinner. Of course, they are wonderful, but one of the side benefits is that Maggie Cooks helps you prepare better meals at home. When I had the trio of stuffed vegetables for dinner, I realized that sometimes more seasoning is better than less. After I tasted my wife's roasted salmon sandwich with basil mayonnaise and caramelized onions, I realized there is more than salmon salad. One unadvertised special is that every meal comes with a tiny and absolutely delicious dessert. Hire them for the holidays, but don't forget Maggie and Jane when you're thinking about what to have for lunch or dinner, too. Front entrance needs some decor to make it more inviting (easily done on day of your event). Price is reasonable the event cooks have heavy polish accent their food was delicious and very reasonable in price. I ate twice :) we had a buffet style of ribs, chicken Marsala, potatoes, rice, sausage and peppers, ziti pasta, bread (two kinds) and a simple tossed salad. I hear they are a bit rude but I didn't see any sour faces when they cleaned up and served the food. The workers all look easily in their 70's and 80's in age I think their demeanor is part of their culture. Overall it's your typical hall in NJ with the added extras of a full service kitchen for an affordable price. I think it was a nice choice for this low budget wedding in NJ. Great for any party sweet 16, 50th birthday, bridal shower, etc. Easily fits 130 people from a simple glance.“
