“I went for the very first time for New Jersey Deathfest and found it to be the ideal venue for hard-core and metal. The sound is actually top notch and the staff is very friendly. The gritty decor and atmosphere is very reminiscent of a lot of the noteworthy DIY venues I used to go to in NYC during the 90's for metal and hardcore shows which made it all the more nostalgic for me. I would definitely return here for another show in the future.“

“Great local Irish bar. I was staying a week at a nearby hotel and this place had the exact Irish bar feel I needed. I instantly felt like a regular they were glad to see, coming and going. Proper for an Irish place. Good pours on the beers. I was here for the first 2016 Presidential Debates and there was a lot of opinions, but in true NYC style, nobody got bent, no matter how much of a (&%$g idiot the other person was.“

“This was easily the highlight of my solo-trip in NYC. The bartender is delightful, the owner has stories for years, and I made friends that night that will last to greet me next trip. Also, while cash only, the drinks are INCREDIBLY well priced, but you won't notice until after you've dances with a stranger from a great jukebox play.“

“Great vibe and drinks. However, when I paid for the first round of drinks, they presented the bill in a way that covered the line for 20% gratuity that was automatically added due to the large party I had just joined. Guess that’s on me for not triple checking, but I double tipped.“
“Great place to hang out the bartenders are great and the people that go there are all friendly I always have a good time when I go there I used to hangout at barrel and brew but the owner son has a bad attitude because he's a Manger his dad owns the business.“

He made such an impression to his golden smile, his positive down-to-earth demeanor, his outstanding communication made you feel like he was not only your server/bartender but also your best friend, your therapist, and a loving Father/ and or brother relative however. Brian puts the cozy in the Cozy Tavern with his exceptional sevice and warm gentle personality that would make any atmosphere feel cozy and make anyone feel at home. All to cheers to Brian ?“

“Atmosphere, the people, food is great. Taylor is a great, and attentive bartender. Daily food specials besides what’s on the main menu. Sundays during football season, seafood (crab legs, mussels, etc). The prices are extremely fair, far from expensive even if you do get good. Will definitely be visiting again.“

“I had to leave a review just because I’m so gagged people said they have bad service? Our bartender was so nice, the drinks are cheap, and it’s a cute little bar. It was definitely slower and barely anyone was here, but it’s also 9:30pm on a Monday.“
