17 Best American Restaurants in Long Branch

“Located near the beach. (Busy 4th of July weekend. A Saturday. Parking is difficult. There’s a public parking garage for $40. What a ripoff from the town. Very little street parking. There was a lot charging $30 so we did that. But still. Well, that’s the jersey shore.) The parking has nothing to do with the quality of the restaurant. I’m just noting parking factors 😉
So now the food …. There aren’t entrees apparently Saturday and Sunday. But Mon - Fri apparently there is. On Weekends It’s burgers and things. There were several items they didn’t have such as the lamb pops. We were a party of 5. We truly had enough food. Enjoyed the drinks such as beer, shots, martinis. A French martini, lychee martini etc. I’m a vegetarian and there was a lot for me. We ordered a charcuterie board to share. It was a great time ! I highly recommend it. The staff is great.“

“We split the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich and the kitchen sink fries, and it was ok. I guess it would be good bar food, but the fries weren't seasoned, so it was good with the sauce they put on, but when we got fries with the sandwich, the plain fries were unseasoned. We didnt really think this should be under "dive bar" so yea. Refers to food as nips and idk if it was the chicken tenders or just some other item used“

“The Diet Gourmet is by far the best Kosher place to go and enjoy an amazing lunch! The staff is amazing and so friendly and attentive towards all of their customers, knowing most on a first name basis. If your in the Long Branch area i highly recommend checking this place out, you won’t regret it!!

Vegetarian options: Everything here is vegetarian and amazing! I definitely recommend trying the Famous Impossible Burger

Kid-friendliness: Best Kid Menu around out of the kosher restaurants. Always has kids channels on TV

Parking: A huge variety of parking at the Elbron Train Station and infront of the restaurant

“Been going to Max’s since I was kid & they were on the Boardwalk. Still the best hot dog I’ve ever had. Also love their crispy onion rings, steak fries, zucchini fries & sweet potato fries. Other menu items look good however I cannot go to Max’s without getting their famous hot dog!“

“I went to the Robinson Ale House on June 29, 2024. Service was excellent. The waitress was wonderful. My husband and I had lunch. I had a T-bone steak special , he had meatloaf. They were excellent. We had key lime pie for dessert. Really good too. We were seated outside on the side because we needed shade. Planning another trip in August. I can’t wait to try the Drunken Clams this time if it’s still on their menu. I hope I get the same waitress. If they still have the T-bone on their daily special I recommend you get that. I had mine medium rare. Quite pricey but well worth it. The rest of the menu is moderately priced. Good generous sized portions. Definitely recommend. 5 stars“
