“Atmospheric breakfast (and lunch) cafe in the train station. Wonderful historic photos of trains cover the walls. Food is very good and portions are generous. Presumably commuters take-out in the morning, but there is a nice seating area. Definitely worth a special trip for a nice breakfast. Dedicated parking.“

“We flew to town, walked into Chef Fredy's and got blown away! Our server was super knowledgeable and gave us great suggestions. The food was absolutely amazing, one dish after another! We split the pear salad. We tried the bone marrow escargot, which was a great twist on how it's usually done. I had the lamb ossobuco. It was cooked to perfection, meat falling off the bone! “Made a reservation through Resy app and had no issues getting a table for 4. Upon arrival, there was plenty of free parking in their parking lot. We were greeted and promptly taken care of by our hostesses after walking in. After our group had all arrived, we decided to order a bunch of small plates and a couple pizzas, so as not to completly engorge ourselves. We ordered the Bao Buns, Chicharron Arancini, Buffalo Cauliflower, Salmon Crudo, Truffle Friesm Goat Cheese & Bacon Pizza, and Broken Burrata Pizza. Each bite was super flavorful and delicious. Our favorites were the Buffalo Cauliflower and Arancini. Both pizzas were also super tasty. The crunch of the thin crust made it so enjoyable. We ended our night with a sliver of Tiramisu. Just enough to finish off the meal without feeling overly stuffed. 10/10 would highly recommend.“

“One of the best brunch spots around. From the thick cut bacon to the fluffy pancakes there’s nothing you won’t like. Went for the first time a few weeks ago and have been back twice. I have yet to be disappointed by anything off the menu. Their Tres Leches French toast comes drizzled with Maple syrup, two scoops of whipped cream and loaded with blueberries and strawberries. A perfect sweet treat. The winner for me is the coconut guava cream pancakes. These are fluffy creamy and perfectly sweet. I can’t say enough about their pancakes plus I’m a sucker for guava. Their omelet is delicious and filling. The Hot Honey chicken & waffles will leave you stuffed. The sweet waffle and savory fried chicken is the perfect mix. And finally to discuss my favorite dish, the huevos Rancheros. This is hands down the best huevos rancheros I’ve had. Their chorizo is so packed with flavor and spice it makes the dish. This dish couldn’t be any more complete with its combination of chorizo, shrimp and cooling guacamole plus the two sunny side up runny eggs on top of two crispy tortillas. Highly recommend this place but warned there is a wait so be sure to make a reservation if you’re not a fan of waiting“

“Unique and delish. My amazing title person stopped by my office and brought there Homemade Potato Donuts called Spudnuts. The dulce de leche with sea salt was my favorite, but it’s super rich. The cinnamon sugar was a close second. You definitely can’t eat the whole donut since they are so large. They were warm and fresh when she brought them in. I have never been here but it’s definitely a fan favorite to most in Morristown. They also have breakfast sandwiches, pizza, burgers, gyro platter and a ton of other comfort foods. I haven’t stopped in, but based on the spundnuts I definitely will stop in soon!“

“I have to say I really enjoy The Thirsty Turtle. Although it's a sports bar and you think it might just be cool to watch a game, the food and staff are excellent and professional. We went the other night and met friends for dinner and it was a fantastic experience! The waiter, (I don't remember his name), but he memorized our order and everything came out perfect! We had appetizers, burgers, beer & drinks, and enjoyed everything we ate and drank. I also have to call out Manny who went above and beyond in helping me. I can't even count how many espresso martinis I have gotten here over the past couple of years I've visited the adorable Morristown. The bartenders are very consistent with the drink making and I have never had a bad drink here. The ambience in the bar area is very sophisticated and the seating in the front of the bar is the perfect spot. I've also tried some small plates too like the burger bites which I would like to be snacking on right now. The little sliders have goat cheese for a unique twist and really delicious sweet potato fries on the side. I've had both flatbreads too which are a good starter to share with friends and family.“

“Walked in on a busy Saturday evening with my wife. The place was bustling but we were able to grab two seats at the bar after waiting about 10 minutes. Sara was tending bar and she greeted us right away. We shared a steak, arugula salad, a side of onion rings, and had a couple of drinks. One of the best meals we've had in a while on datenight and Sara's service was top notch. My wife and I go to Roots often and we found the food and service better here. Robert and Lisa were really great to work with during the planning process and even accommodated a last minute change for us. The crispy fish tacos may be the best I've ever had and I've gone back for them a few times. Being that the margherita pizza is not a traditional pizza, it was still very tasty and had a nice lightness about it. As someone who doesn't typically like clams, the clams on fire has an incredible heat to them that masks the actual clam taste and I love dipping the crostini in the sauce. In reference to another review complaining about no potato at the carving station and the timing of food being put out, everything was precisely as described on the menu posted online when you made the reservation, including seamlessly closing off some breakfast stations and opening some dinner stations at 3 o'clock. I was also surprised how high the prices have gotten on many of the more simple fare dishes - especially for Sunday lunch. Like $22 for a grilled chicken sandwich and almost $40 for crab cakes. We usually dine at similar restaurants but prices here seemed higher than average while dining in a tent with exposed plywood. Many times we had to search for a server and the apple cobbler in a nutshell - was terrible. It was like eating an undercooked mouthful of raw batter with cooked apples. Honestly- the house has some work to do if they want to charge these prices . I mean, I have had wonderful experiences here before, but today missed the mark.“
