“In the quaint town of Metuchen, if you don't know it's there, you'd pass it. My wife had General T'so's shrimp with brown rice, and my daughter had shrimp lo-mein, while I had Kung Pao chicken with fried rice. Additionally, we had some deliciously sautéed bok choy with brown rice. I believe it's a byob, as spirits aren't available. Light and delicious food, we'll be coming back.“

“Food was amazing! The service was fast and the staff were super kind! Somebody I think was the owner was super sweet and kept checking in on us! The atmosphere is great, it's a cozy, quiet, little restaurant, perfect for a calm dinner after a long day! We ordered the peking duck and a couple soups, as well as steamed shrimp dumplings. The dumplings were amazing and so were the soups! We got a whole duck for $70, while a bit pricey it was worth every penny! I absolutely adored this restaurant and it will definitely become one of my family's go to Chinese places! Can't reccomend enough!“

“The food is great. I won't rehash what everyone else says regarding that, everything on the menu is very good. But one dish in particular I will add is awesome: "the inflation special" (my own name label). It's braised pork sauce, rice, vegetable, and an egg for less than $10. You can add Taiwanese sausage if you want for $3 more. This is a such a steal in this insane economy we're in right now. It's a really good quick easy lunch or dinner option. I've gotten it when I'm lazy or just want a dish that isn't too heavy. Get it! Cheap and tasty.“

“Really good food..good quality ingredients for the price point..food took a while and wasn’t told how long and ended up waiting in the restaurant for nearly 25 min. It was busy, so can’t blame them, but would have been nice to know it was going to be a wait. The inside is clean, but standard setup. Chicken Lo Mein was great! Kung Pao chicken seemed to have more vegetables than Chicken, but still tasted great!“

“By far the best hot and sour soup. Large sharable plates. Staff was very friendly. My friend had the fried tofu and was also very happy. The vegetable fried was very good although I would have liked to see more vegetables in it. But overall a great experienceDietary restrictions: They are very accommodatingParking: We arrived at around 2 pm and walked a few blocks to restaurant because parking was very limitedWheelchair accessibility: Wide doorways and walkways“

“For a Wednesday night the place is almost filled. There was a mixture of tables with large parties and smaller ones of couples. Everyone seems to be returning customers which is a good sign. The five dishes we ordered were well prepared with appetizing taste. While their American menu seem to cover frequently ordered western fare, most of their Chinese dishes are listed separatly and only presented in the Chinese language. Our estimation is that everyone in the restaurant ordered from the traditional Chinese menu instead the one you are handed. Therefore, you may want to bring a Chinese speaking friend if you are interested in what they“

“Me and my son had a chinese craving so we ordered here. Never been before. We shared and it was actually enough for us. We got the chicken lo mein which was sooo good. Not too greasy either, like the right amount of flavor/sauce. Beef with broccoli was also very tasty. They gave a good amount of beef. The broccoli was not soggy at all. Still had great texture. The almond cookies were also tasty. I also felt the price was good since I ordered on Uber eats. Definitely going to order here again.“

“House of Wong is absolutely serving up delicious food and the high praising reviews did not lie. I was in their establishment for maybe an hour and I witnessed at least 20 people come in to pick up take out orders. In my opinion, that speaks on the quality of food. The fried pork dumplings are flavorful, the pork egg roll is as big as the plate it's served on. The pepper steak was tender and sauced well with a ton of peppers and onions. The rice was good and fluffy. The service was good, even though there appears to be one server for the 4 tables that were seated. I wish they would have spread out the tables a little bit because we were seated right in the middle and it was a little noisy. The ice cold water was good and always refilled without asking. It was an hour drive but in my opinion, it was well worth it and delicious. I would take the adventure again to try something new. Thank you.Vegetarian options: My friend is vegetarian and had to ask about a sauce served on a vegetarian dish and it was fish sauce so make sure to ask about what's in the sauces. She loved her Vegetable & Tofu With Thai Honey Cashews dishParking: The restaurant is in a plaza but at 5:30pm on a Monday, I found plenty of parking spots.“

“First time here and brought 20 of my closest family members for Saturday dim sum. We had a really good experience overall. The food, the service and the family friendly atmosphere was great! My family and I have been eating dim sum for many decades and all agreed that Green Lake has dishes we've never had before. The aunties made sure to drop by every couple of minutes to ensure we had everything that we wanted while the waiters made sure our tea pots were always refilled.“

“Location is easy to miss, but look for T-Mobile, they are in the same plaza. Huge parking lot in the back of the restaurant. Pro tip: Bring cash to save 10% off your meal! I ordered braised flounder filet and romaine heart in sichuan roasted chili sauce and cilantro, it was super tasty and spicy, as expected! It was a little pricey just because of how little amount of fish filet we got in the dish. Tons of sauce, enough for me to use and cook another meal the next night. It's a pretty big restaurant, great for big parties!“

“Food is good, and prepared pretty quickly. Woman at the counter does a nice job. Prices seem fair. Place is clean. Much, much better food and prices than the Asian food restaurant near Uproot. Big bonus points at Chiba City 2 for NOT charging one of those sneaky, slimy credit card fees!!! Hate when merchants do that, we won't go back.“

“I don’t write a lot of reviews but Golden Wok, as my local Chinese food place, deserves it. They’re prompt and they always get the order right and the food is delicious and consistent. It’s also quick; a 15 or 20 min wait at most. You can’t go wrong!!“

“Great family owned Chinese restaurant. I cannot speak to the atmosphere, because we always get take out, but the staff are so friendly and accommodating, and the food is delicious. The portions are so generous I usually get at least two meals out of one order. Additionally, they often throw in others side items for free.Parking: There is no problem with parking.“

“We love ordering from Ocean Garden and do it weekly when our daughter takes dance class. The owners are super friendly, and the food is always fresh, hot and delicious. The price too is super reasonable, hands down our fav Chinese takeout spot in NJ. It’s authentic too, I am Chinese myself and I appreciate the effort they put into the food. We especially love the boneless spare ribs, dumplings, and the chow fun, the kids prefer this place than anywhere else we order. Support your local business!!“

“I have been looking for a good basic Chinese food take out close by to me in Mountainside that delivers and after reading reviews decided to give them a try. After my second take out order I felt ready to review. This is really good food! I am pretty basic- favorite dishes are shrimp with lobster sauce, shrimp egg foo young, shrimp chow mein, dumplings, and spring rolls- our go to. All of these dishes are really good- the egg foo young probably the best I have ever had as our the fried dumplings. I highly recommend them!!“

“We tried the China Wok for take out yesterday - the lady that answers the phone is quite helpful and pleasant and repeats your order back to you. There were 3 chefs cooking when I picked up the order. We got egg drop soup, crab meat fried rice WHICH WAS EXCELLENT and the shrimp egg foo young (3 patties with white rice and brown gravy). Also delicious! We will be returning ... I want to try their dumplings next and sweet and sour dish! The place is open for pick up with a few chairs on the side for people who need to wait for their orders yet. Very nice place. Next to the Bridgewater Bakery in the same strip mall !“

“We were looking for vegetarian chines fare and found it here on yelp so we gave this place a try. Eating a super early dinner at 5:30 with kids in tow led to wonderful attentive experience before any potential crowds. Service was fantastic and any questions we had were so politely addressed. The dishes came out fast, portions were generous and the flavors hit the notes we needed. Garlic pea shoots- don't be discouraged by the name. This is seasonal and a wonderful side to the rest of the food General Tso Tofu- very large serving, tofu has a slight crisp if you start eating immediately and a slight sweetness to the sauce. Would love to see a kung pao version with the peppers and peanuts! Veg fried rice- finally a place that does it right! Not just rice with a small pouring of frozen carrots and peas. This was great. Scallion Pancake- surprisingly not the standard version. This puffed up nicely and despite being deep fried was not greasy. Wonderful dipping sauce too! Homestyle Tofu- lots of mixed veg. This was not my favorite due to the "tobasco-esque" tanginess but a hit with my wife. There are some toys near the front to keep your kids (or you) busy while you wait but honestly the food comes out hot, fresh and fast- so you may as well just wait! We will be back!“
“- quick service- clean establishment- delicious food- easily accessible, but could use more parking availability- I wish they offered plastic knives; currently, they only offer plates, forks and spoonsVegetarian options: - good amount of options, but could use more options;- egg roll is delicious;- dumplings are delicious, and are not greasy—which is very goodParking: - only a few spaces out front on the main road; first come first serve;- small lot on the side and back“

“I have been ordering from Garden Rice for over 20 years and it's still the same great Chinese takeout that I love. My go to is the steamed dumplings and pork lomein. The staff is very friendly and polite. In a town where nearly every eatery has turned over multiple times this place continues to put out consistently delicious and affordable food.“

“I was in the area and hungry and decided to look up Chinese food near me.. found this one. It had 4.5 stars. Reviews seemed positive so I decided to go and get the boneless ribs and white rice. Cons. I'll stick to my normal Chinese spot. Ribs seemed dry, barely no sauce and rice could of been cooked a little more... just my opinion.“

“First at buffet soon they opened. Place was super clean..food was hot and steamy. Everything was fresh. My favorite was the teriyaki chicken, oxtails, cheesecake, vermicelli abalone, beef short ribs, pork belly, and the salad bar. Kiwi and pineapples were super sweet and juicy.. strawberries and cantaloupe not so much. All in all everything was yummy EXCEPT the lobster... didn't like the mushy texture at ALL...worth the money. I spent 2 1/2 hours there and enjoyed my food. 9/10“

“This place used to be good but now it's very average. We found a hair in one of the dishes and they refused to give us a refund for that dish. Chicken 65 was more like chilli chicken. The butter chicken was boneless and the overall portion sizes are small.“

“This place has an old school Chinese restaurant feel to it that reminds me of when I lived in new York. The food is very good I ordered beef lo mein and general chicken. The small portion size of both were enough for two people and everything was very good.“

“Everything was exceptional. Scallion pancakes were perfectly crispy. Dumplings cooked perfect and tasty. I normally don’t order sesame chicken because many places over-bread it. Their sesame chicken are big pieces of white meat with no breading. This is our new go to Chinese restaurant.“

“Best Chinese takeout in the area! I've been in the piscataway area for a few years now and I've tried almost all the local spots but nothing comes close. Order C15 and you will not be disappointed. The scallion and pork pieces in the fried rice is so generous. You don't see other places adding that small touch of quality. The chicken comes out so crispy and the food comes out super hot just the way i like it. They do not skimp on quantity or quality“

“I love Fan Bistro!!!!???? Best food in town. They might as well know me because of how often I order from them. The hibachi meals- disgusting (that’s slang for amazing) in other words, gods must’ve crafted this. The atmosphere is postmodern, with comfortable color and large brass buddha. I hate sushi but the tuna sushi is ?!! Soy sauce? More like girl boss!! Love this place, man. Just adore this food, on god; fax ong. One time I ordered chicken hibachi; got steak teriyaki. But hey, enjoyed it all the same.Vegetarian options: -Rice-Vegetable hibachi-all kinds of fried rice“

“This is our go-to Chinese place as it’s right down the block and the service is always great. What we’ve had from there so far has been very good. Our only issues have been with the General Tso’s, which my husband says can be inconsistent in quality (sometimes, it lacks flavor but other times, it’s quite good), and I feel the same about the wonton soup. But other than that, everything is delicious!“
“They were able to make my dish gluten free!!! And it was great!! They charred my chicken and broccoli with some chili flakes and it was yummy. Their lunch special was only $10-11 too which is pretty nice considering it came with a miso soup and it was a nice portion. And it was done fast too. I will be back :)“

“They have a pretty decent buffet with quite a few American food choices, Asian (of course), fresh salad and a dessert table. I've never had a bad meal from here, nor have I ever gotten sick from food borne illnesses. The service is, sometimes, a bit nonchalant/laid back. I wish they wouldn't waste so much time looking at their phones and doing more "busy work" like wiping down the buffet tables. But it's not like the place is ever untidy.“
“That honey chicken wings, on God/Goddess that is the best honey ever had in my life, from anywhere, that was literally out of this world, and the fried rice was perfect, nothing was greasy, all FRESH AND CLEAN ❗❗❗❗❗❗❗?????????????“
“PROs- food taste , price pointCONs- service , not a good place to sit and eat .. inside looks not so clean .This place is a hidden gem s from outside you don’t even know that there is a Chinese restaurant here . Next to LA fitness .. so u will easily miss this spot . Better to call in and order before you go. Actually their food is really good . Price point is good . Not that expensive: they also have lunch specials on weekdays . Worth it .Service could be better . The girl in the counter gets a little annoyed if we ask her some questions , especially to check if there is egg in a vegetarian dish etc. they take about 10-15 mins to cook and it is really good. Ordered General Tsos tofu and it was super delicious . They had good amount of tofu and 2 of us could eat one meal . Veg soup was also really good . Not much of veggie options though. Will surely go back and try other things . Not much place to sit and eat .. they do have some tables but it isn’t too clean inside . I’d rather parcel it and have it at home . 4 stars for the food .. try it if you are in this area.“

“I use General Tso’s Chicken combo platter as a gauge for good take out. This was the best I’ve had in quite awhile. The flavor was very good and the chicken chunks were tender and not stringy like some others. Also the egg roll was crispy and tasted fresh.“
