“The food was good, I ordered just a waffle and bacon recently, but unfortunately, the TV was tuned to Newsmax and I was told "it couldn't be changed". Now that I know the extreme political views of those in charge, I won't be spending any more of my money there. Nor will I recommend the Lakeside Diner any more. Too bad, it used to be such a nice place.“

“First and foremost, before I even discuss the food I want to address the fact that all of the staff at the diner today seemed genuinely happy to be there. Having worked in food service, that’s generally unheard of. Big props to the owner/ management for creating an environment like that. Now the food: I’m gluten intolerant. I couldn’t contain my smile when I saw the extensive gluten free options and heard of the lengths the kitchen goes to ensure allergy safety. I can’t remember the last time I have had so many wonderful options and could order something so easily. I got the chicken fingers and they were wonderful.Lastly: Safe is a fantastic server and very clearly cares a lot about the diner patrons. Every table that gets him as their server is just as lucky to have him as the diner is.Thank you for a great dinner ? I will be back OFTEN“

“Been going to the OD for years now. Before covid I had asked the manager why they didn't use Heinz ketchup, he said it was a supply issue. Fast forward to 2024, the ketchup on tables is still a knock off brand of Heinz. The irony is that when I order take out the ketchup packets are Heinz. If a restaurant is blatantly showing they are cutting a corner what other shortcuts are they taking? I can't complain about the service or the food, just the ketchup on the table. Sometimes I'll order a baked potato rather than fries so I don't have to use weird-tasting ketchup. For a $17 sandwich, give me Heinz!“

“Best breakfast value in the area. Serves real home fries, not the low budget frozen hashed browns like other local diners. They have tons of regulars, a testament to the quality and consistency. One negative - the server(woman) is always in a bad mood and it shows.“

“Need a quick cup of coffee or their famous "Tower" breakfast sandwich then head to Abbie's. This small restaurant has 4 tables and about 6 bar stools. They have great pancakes and a good cup of coffee. Many locals go here for their morning caffeine hit and local news. People call in their orders and run in and pick up. It's a "guy" kind of place and many local landscapers, and tradesmen are getting a great breakfast sandwich and coffee on the run for a very reasonable price. I wouldn't recommend it if you're going with your girlfriends though.“

“The Philly Cheesesteak is the best! Good price for the amount of food you get!Breakfast is ok typical diner type food. I'm not a fan of eggs so the options are more limited for me to pancakes, waffles, etc. so we usually do lunch instead. They are open for dinner now during the week but post the specials on Instagram. They used to have a website and it no longer works, I really wish they would fix it because in this day and age usually if you don't have a website you don't last long as a business.“

“Park Wayne diner is my go-to diner. The food there is always on point. Large portions and maticulously made. The service is equally as impeccable. The owners/hostess/host and staff are very detailed, funny, kind and attentive. I am never disappointed. I highly recommend it.“

“This is our go to spot. There is an immediate "welcome home" feeling when you walk in. The staff is extremely welcoming and accommodating. I know it says diner in the name; however, that doesn't do it justice. The hardest thing whenever we come is deciding what to get, which in this case is a good thing. We always know we will have amazing food and friendly, attentive service. Also, let me tell you, the chicken francaise over penne is pastably the best I've ever had.“

“WOWW! What an experience... I went on Thursday afternoon and it was starting to pick up early dinner. I was pretty hungry so I ordered an Eggs Benedict and an order of pancakes. The eggs Benedict was one of the best I have had in a long time. The English muffin was toasted to perfection. The pancakes were the best pancakes I have had hands down, they were so fluffy and loaded with strawberries. They DO NOT skimp on portions here. I was so content with my meal that I got a slice of Canoli Cheesecake to go that sent me into a deep food coma. The service was incredible as it was my first time there. I will definitely return to this diner. The manager Mike gave me a great table and was super friendly, great guy. My server Astrid was very attentive and helped guide me through the options on the extensive menu. I recommend everyone come here if you are looking for an AWESOME diner!!!!!!!“

“I'm always impressed with the burger from here as it is delicious and reasonably priced! The Pearl River Diner is conveniently located in a strip mall with a parking lot, which makes parking easy. The service is always great and there are always many people working there.“

“Been there only twice, but that was enough for me! Portions are huge, food was fresh and attractively served, pies are amazing, and service was always with a smile! Reminded me of an old-time diner. Sorry for those negative reviews, and cannot understand them. I was very satisfied.“

“The food is good. It's a hit or miss with some things, maybe it's the chef. My husband was here last week with a friend and the onion rings were awesome. I went with him this week and the onion rings were terrible. They were limp with the breading coming off. I had a cheese steak sandwich, it was delicious.“

“Started with the 3 app platter- motz sticks, zucchini sticks, and hot wings. I would again, delicious. I ordered the Open face Reuben, and it was a good, large portion. Wife got the Reuben wrap and said it was ok, needed more sauce. Daughter got Nutella waffles and she liked it. Food came out fast. Got desserts to go, they look amazing. Would come here again if ever in N.J.“
