This was first time for strawberry shortcake the strawberries were so fresh and the cream and cake OMG absolutely delicious!”

“Came in on Saturday last week for my birthday and tonight for my girlfriend’s birthday. The atmosphere is chill the views are amazing. Our servers have been engaging and knowledgeable. And the food is outstanding. Last week we did the chef’s tasting with the whole fish as the main course ($90 per person). Tonight we got the fritto misto, the eggplant and eggplant caponata, and the swordfish with green garlic for the apps. The rigatoni, spaghetti, and the trophie for the second course (pasta full plates) and the half chicken for the main course. Everything was delicious but the trophie pistachio pesto stood out as the best dish for my girlfriend and I. We finished the night with two cappuccino’s and tiramisu. It is a little pricey but worth every penny. If you’re looking for excellent food, a great atmosphere and beautiful views Irwin’s is the place. In my opinion Irwin’s and Meetinghouse in Fishtown are the two coolest restaurants in Philly.”

“This restaurant is an absolute gem! I went with friends thinking it was going to be a pretentious with food that I wasn’t going to enjoy and be a heavy meal. I couldn’t be more wrong. Our dinner was a creative journey that the chef took us on. We had the Sunday prefixed 4 course dinner in which each course was a delicate and flavorful experience. Nalini our waitress was a pure joy- knowledgeable, funny, attentive without interfering with our experience. She described each course like she was describing a work of art. Please if you’ve been looking for a new place to try, definitely put June BYOB on your list.”
