“I went for the very first time for New Jersey Deathfest and found it to be the ideal venue for hard-core and metal. The sound is actually top notch and the staff is very friendly. The gritty decor and atmosphere is very reminiscent of a lot of the noteworthy DIY venues I used to go to in NYC during the 90's for metal and hardcore shows which made it all the more nostalgic for me. I would definitely return here for another show in the future.“

We decided to go to this place on a whim and it turned out to be one of the best decisions ever. The atmosphere was incredible. Everyone in there was so cool and the bartender was fantastic and very helpful. She recommended the Jack Daniels burger so we both went with it. When I tell you we both dreamed about this burger for our entire trip. We ended up going back to this place two more times. It was such a great local place with great people. I can’t recommend it enough. If you’re ever in the area go there and get the Jack Daniels burger. Talk to the locals. Have a pint and enjoy the vibes. 5/5. 10/10. Incredible.“

“I had a private event in the Parlor Room and it was fabulous. Food and drinks were spot on and the service was dynamite. There were 21 of us all together and everyone was well cared for by server Lily and the rest of the awesome staff. “My wife and I have been patrons and huge fans of Chez Catherine for nearly 30 years. Last Friday, we happily celebrated our 39th anniversary there with another very fine lunch. It's always a pleasure to be greeted like old friends by owner Stephane Bocket and seated at what we think is the best table in the tastefully decorated, elegant restaurant. We both chose the prix fixe menu. For starters, my wife had the always terrific moules and I a lovely mixed salad. We both chose beef bourguignons for our main course and asked Stephane to suggest wine from the by-the-glass list. His selections of a chablis for my wife and pinot noir for me worked perfectly with the outstanding bourguignons. We finished by sharing a delicious Baba au Rhum, prepared by Stephane at tableside. Dining at Chez Catherine is always a special event to us. Everything about it is first class. If you are unfamiliar with Chez Catherine, it has been one of New Jersey's Top 5 restaurants for nearly 40 years. Other bars right down the block plays music just as loud and stays open just as late. Besides the one incident last year, there aren’t any brawls or fights that happen there. Most ppl that go there are regulars and know each other. Alot is included in the price you receive. And many other venues don't compare when it comes to price. Helping to save you some money along the way. The rooms are beautiful and my guest were amazed. The workers were accommodating and helped get our room together way before time. This helped us tremendously with getting most of the setup being done the night before. The lighting is awesome.
