As a longtime Maplewood resident, I've been enjoying Bill & Harry's since childhood, and it never disappoints. This family-owned restaurant has been serving authentic Chinese cuisine for years, maintaining excellent quality and warm hospitality.

The owners' dedication is evident in every visit. Their genuine kindness creates a welcoming atmosphere that keeps locals coming back. It's a joy to see my own children now sharing my enthusiasm for Bill & Harry's.

“Great place for dim sum. They have a wide variety of classics (like egg tart, chicken feet, fried pork buns, etc) and non-classics (like clams, shrimp, crab, mango sago, etc). Their prices range from $4.50 for a small dim sum to $12 for “chef” dim sum.

The service is fast. We came during brunch hours on a Sunday and even though there was a lot of people, we were instantly seated. And as soon as we got a table, the dim sum carts swung by right away. The servers can be a bit aggressive in insisting you take certain dishes (by placing them on the table before you’ve agreed to them), but as long as you say no they’ll take them away.

The inside is your typical Chinese dim sum restaurants with round tables and many dim sum carts running around.

The bathroom is clean and large with multiple stalls. It looks relatively new.

We parked in the lot outside and had no trouble finding parking.

There doesn’t seem to be good reception for AT&T here so we had some trouble navigating away after eating here.

“It was a baby shower hosted by the parents of the first time mother. The menu chosen by the father was selecting 90 percent of the delicious dim sum on themenu. We had every dish commonly enjoyed by families.

There were 30 tables with many young children all enjoying the food and the occasion. It was a wonderful celebration for new life, a new baby for expecting parents, grandparents, and family members and friends. The food, service, and the general happiness of the attending members was memorable.“

“Today and day before yesterday I went to this restaurant. They are making Asian food I think it’s Chinese. First day I did Oder beef noodles. It was amazing. And I ask chili oil. They gave me one it’s super amazing. That’s why I went today. Guy who working front it’s not helping. But he can mange the job. And he try to help. Today my lunch was pot cooking rice. We can choose two meats. I got beef and chicken. It’s coming with side of soya sauce. And I asked that chili oil again, it was delicious. Before that for appetizer I bought hot buttered prawns dish. Guys to my mind this is the best hot buttered prawns in Staten Island. You should try it. I specially gave a tip for the chef. I had a delicious lunch today. “Hidden Gem! The chef definitely knows what they’re doing.Ginger chicken: You can taste that the person behind this dish is a master of using fire. The chicken is so tender and the vegetable is so crispy.Peking duck: Great harmony of meat, scallion, and the sweetish sauce.Good price and comfortable environment. I would recommend anything from the chef’s special section!Didn’t try their sushi. But the sushi chef greeted us professionally and politely on the way out. A good sign.“

“I have been ordering food from this location for years with the Owners Jing and Johnny. The food is always fresh, hot, and the prices are always cheap. Jing and Johnny are always friendly and professional. If you want great chinese food, I would definitely suggest you order here because you wont be sorry. Now based off my experience, the typical orders I make are the shrimp toast, Singapore mei fun, bbq spare rib tips with young chow fried rice, fried/steam dumplings and shrimp rolls. Depending on the day, these are one of my orders for that day. The food is always on point. I always feel it's best to go to establishments becoming acquainted with the people who make your food because than you will always be a familiar face and known as a valuable customer.“
