We came for lunch at 3pm - and it’s hard to find decent restaurant food during lunch hours so we weren’t expecting much, but we enjoyed everything! The baked clams and fried calamari were crispy and my filet of sole was delicious!

Our waitress was nice, as well as the rest of the crew who chatted with us. Will definitely dine here again!“

“Kudos go out to the Marina Cafe for doing Thanksgiving up right! No wonder the restaurant was packed today. A wide variety of plates to choose from today, making it hard to decide. We went with the Turkey Dinner and it was perfect. What a tender bird, roasted perfectly. The tiramisu at the end was the cherry on the cake. Best I ever had! “Not our first redeo at this location. Previous experience was great. This time, well. We booked party of 4 and arrived first. Gentleman at checkin found our reservation and escorted us to our booth with 4 menus. He told us he would bring our guests when they arrived. Well, they seated our guests at another booth in a different section of the restaurant. 45 minutes later we figured it out. Then our waitress took our drink order. It was simple, 4 white glasses although different whites. She came back with 2 white and 2 red. Final bill was screwed up twice as well. Not counting these poor staffing issues, the food was absolutely great as always. However, with poor staff a great kitchen will have a difficult time to deliver repeat guests.“

“We stopped in for dinner this evening (night before Thanksgiving) and we absolutely loved both the food and the service!

We had the kani salad & green salad, the fried shrimp appetizer, salmon sushi, and several special rolls - everything was fresh and very tasty with great portions!

And I would be remiss if I did not mention that our server, Chen, was an integral part of the experience and the enjoyment of our meal! She is a very welcoming host and lively conversationalist who really takes an interest in her work and her customers.

This was our first time dining here and we will certainly be back (and often)!

“It would be easy to overlook this place. It’s buried way in the back of a strip mall. The interior ambience isn’t anything to brag about, either. Yet it is a true gem with amazing food at good prices and excellent service. My wife and I each ordered pizzas. She got the 12” Chicken Pesto and I ordered the 12” Meat Lover’s. Both came out promptly. It was amazing, the best pizza I’ve had in years. I can’t say too many good things about it. Everything was in perfect harmony, a symphony of umami and cheese. Meatballs, sausage, bacon. It had it all. Each bite a delight. My wife also loved her pizza. We stopped in on a Monday on the way up north for a show. There were a few tables occupied but I would imagine it probably gets busy on weekends. Even so, I would make a point of stopping in here again next time I’m passing through the area at dinner time.“

“This is hands down the best restaurant in NJ right now. The 8 course tasting menu is phenomenal, each dish balanced with unique flavors and texture, and beautiful plated. Our server explained each dish in detail, was extremely knowledgeable of the ingredients and dishes, and very friendly. He consistently topped off our drinks as needed and meticulously provided a new place setting for each course. The ambiance was very relaxing as we sat on the 2nd floor, with beautiful hip, modern decor. I was particularly intrigued by the faucet in the bathroom which was very unique. The overall attention to detail from the concept and design to the food and service is what sets it apart. Fine dining at its best with a relaxed atmosphere that easily compares to a Michelin star restaurant.

Free on site parking is available and it is a BYOB. A liquor store is conveniently located next door in case you forget to bring your libations.“

“First time here and great experience! Outdoor dining only. Food is unbelievably fresh and tasty! The porta potties are upgraded bathrooms and surprisingly clean. Off street parking but not bad. Outdoor patio is going to be extended over the dunes for 2025. Can't wait to go back next summer!“

Have been to the original in Brooklyn many times over the years but this was our first time at Gargiulo’s in Tinton Falls and it did not disappoint.
