I’ve always loved this place and supported since it opened. I’m a little disappointed with an order for my family- 1 classic heavyweight and 2 classic lightweights. They seemed to have shrunk the lightweight, to half the size of the heavyweight (used to seem more like a 10” for LW vs 12” for HW)… I could be wrong as I usually get the Heavyweight for myself, but others mentioned it seemed smaller.

Regardless, the bigger issue to me is the lightweight is $9 on the menu and heavyweight is $16 (I incorrectly put $14 in original post), while the lightweights we received are barely smaller than half of the heavyweight. The HW is on top and LW on bottom in the picture I attached. Since the lightweight is half the size, then people shouldn’t be charged extra and the price should be half. Otherwise, people paying $2 more for two lightweights will feel cheated. Granted it’s only $2, but the price after add-ons and tax is already premium. Bottom line the quality of food here is great, but the point is I could have ordered two heavyweights and paid less. I will be sharing with family/friends to avoid this from happening to them… order heavyweights and share to not be over-charged when ordering lightweights“

“No longer in actual food trucks, but they taste the same. Their service is quick. Still the best fat sandwiches I’ve bought. Everywhere else is just a copy. A staple in the grease trucks community that you have to try at least once. Whenever I’m around Rutgers I have to get one. Fat Nini w/ extra honey mustard!“

“It's a very simple place to get a simple sandwich or something a little bit more. Concocted or even without any bread and turn it into a type of platter. Whatever you're looking for they have it here. Roast beef turkey oven roasted smoked swiss cheese provolone white. They got it all here and on. Good half 7 in or 16-in subs.“

“Gave a 5 for the atmosphere although I haven’t been there. I imagine it’s top notch based off of the customer service experience I had with a young gentleman on the phone today. I made an Uber Eats order and called to make an adjustment to my sandwiches. The young man on the phone was professional and did not hesitate to make sure that my accommodations would be granted. I wish I caught his name but the call took place at approximately 3:36PM on 1OCT25. He was exactly what I expect when calling an eatery. Prompt, direct, and accommodating. No questions asked, no back and forth. As someone who works in the industry it was greatly appreciated.“

I tried the 6 inch veggie sandwich. It came fully loaded with fresh veggies and special sauces. Each bite was filled with surprising flavours.
I highly recommend these sandwiches sealed with freshness!

“If you want a great, "old school" alternative to Tastees, this is the spot! I don't think they've changed the menu board since the 80s, maybe earlier. Handmade with care and attention to detail, the sandwiches are delicious and fresh. There are very few healthy beverage options, but Bai water is one and a good selection of flavors available. Friendly service and vintage interior decor make this sandwich shop a great stop along Woodbridge Avenue. Pictured is the tuna with pickles on the side.“

“Ive been staying here in Edison for like a month and have been trying to find a good cheesesteak like back home in Delaware. This place hands down has the best cheesesteaks in the area that I've found. Sesame seed roll, Cooper cheese, and of course Ribeye meat! I paired it with some fries whichwere good a good crunch but soft.“

“I went to Just Subs to place an order for a gathering involving a large number of people. I had reviewed the menu and had come up with a figure of $300.00, which by my calculations would provide enough subs, salads and sides for all involved. Probably with some left over. Joe the owner and his employee Desire questioned me about the number of people I wished to serve, and at that point told me that I was ordering too much food! Upon Joe's advice, I ordered a menu which came to a final total of $215.00! Everything was delicious, and there was some left over, just as Joe supposed there would be. It was a nice, professional gesture on his part, and a good way to treat a customer.“

“Very cute place in Linden. They have all types of subs hot and cold. Kinda pricey for a sub. But it was good. Definitely things I can make at home. I had the hot pastrami and cheese on a toasted roll. They use convection ovens to heat up food. It kind of changes the taste a tad bit. Overall good food customer ans atmosphere.“

“I came in on Saturday for a quick meal and was completely satisfied with everything. The girl working there was attentive to my requests and made the sandwich just how I wanted. “The original sub sandwich chain founded in Hoboken NJ in 1964. This location inside a convenience store has been around for years. Their Tuna salad and the “club sub” are the standouts. Also their location has tons of parking which is hard to find on Morris avenue. It’s been a family owned location for decades so stop in and say hello!“

“This was my first time trying this location and it wasn't a bad experience. Although I did enjoy my good, there were a few small errors that won't allow me to go above 4 stars. I specifically asked for the sauce on the cheese fries to be on the side. However the cheese was on top and it was a bit messier than I would've liked. This wasn't a deal breaker since the fries were soggy and still had a good amount of cheese. However she they were unnecessarily messy.
Similarly with the sandwich. The flavor was there. The roll was soft. Lettuce was crisp, as was the tomato juicy.
Buuuut, the sandwich wasn't evenly sliced. Almost as if they started to cut it and then stopped. Which made a port fall out when I picked it up. So, although minor errors, they were big enough to affect how much I enjoyed the meal.
Will I return? I would say Yes!!“
