“I had never heard of Broadway Chicken, and then a few weeks ago when I needed to do grocery shopping at the ShopRite in the same shopping center in Middletown, I had some extra time and was feeling hungry, so I thought I would give the Broadway Chicken a try. Since I had never been there before, I decided to get a 10-piece chicken nuggets, figuring that's probably the easiest thing to do well. They were SO GOOD, as was the honey mustard dipping sauce I got with them (the ranch sauce was good too, but the honey mustard was amazing). I hate any fat or gristle on meat, and the nuggets had none of either -- just good white meat real chicken, with crisp and very tasty breading. I sat outside at one of the picnic tables and ate my nuggets while reading a book.

The following week I went back and did basically the same thing -- ordered nuggets, and ate them while reading my book. The music, which comes through speakers outside as well as inside, while not bad (basically a mix of blues/folk/country), was too loud, at least for me. When the server brought my food, I asked him if it would be possible to turn it down a bit, and said that if that wasn't possible I understood. He said it should be fine, and went back inside -- and within just a minute or two the music was turned down to a more reasonable level. I really appreciate that extra level of customer service.

I went back again today, prior to doing my grocery shopping -- I think I'm addicted, lol. This time I got the Chicken Bacon Ranch Wrap, which has good reviews on their website. First of all, it was massive! I could literally only eat half of it, and had to take the other half home for tomorrow. Secondly, it was very tasty -- you can get the chicken fried or grilled, and I chose fried, and it was done perfectly. The bacon was also good, and the romaine lettuce was fresh and crisp. The cheese and ranch sauce were also good. I think I still prefer the nuggets, but the wrap is a very close second. Also, when the server brought my wrap out to me, he asked if he could bring me anything else, like napkins. I already had napkins, but I let him know that I had only recently discovered Broadway Chicken, and that so far I really liked everything I had gotten there. He thanked me, and told me that his name is Mike and he is one of the owners. He also told me that the chicken is antibiotic free, and that they make their sauces in-house -- both good to know, and good selling points! Mike, and every other staff member I've dealt with there, have demonstrated excellent customer service (and by the way, the music was still at a reasonable level on this trip). Between that and the tasty food, I am sure I will keep coming back. :-D“

“Father’s Day weekend breakfast at the local Panera was a delight. The manager personally serviced our party of three with a chipper demeanor. The music was family appropriate making the atmosphere very serene. I will recommend this lunch spot to my friends and family for a cozy little lunch.“

“Brinia's is serving the most delicious tasting food in the area by far! Oxtails! Ribs! Variety of different meats and pork with choices of different sides. “We ate at Franny’s yesterday after attending a scouting merit badge class nearby. Everything was amazing. We communicated ahead of time to ensure they could accommodate our party of 16 and were able to place our order ahead of time too. Everything was seamless as we walked in with a table ready and the pizza immediately arrived fresh from the oven. The pizza was a perfect crispy thin crust and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. “I visited The Herd Juicery and was totally impressed. They have refreshing fruit bowls and juices, and they serve hot meals that are gluten-free and plant-based. For anyone who has celiac disease or gluten sensitivity, it's nice not having to worry about gluten cross contamination. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious. Even my husband loved his bowl and felt full afterwards without needing to take a nap. The smoothie bowls were a perfect guilt free desert!“

“Terrific experience! Authentic Thai, family run restaurant. Everything was served with such hospitality, flavor, and generosity— true Thai style. I live in NYC where there is an over abundance of Thai places which can be hit or miss and I’ve always been so disappointed with the few Thai places I’ve tried in Jersey— typically they miss the mark with too much sugar or watery curries and are overpriced because of the scarcity of Thai options here. Spring rolls were so crispy and felt fresh made vs frozen. I opted simple for my kids and ordered grilled salmon— it was savory and flavorful on a bed of deliciously assorted tender vegetables. The salmon was served with a side of peanut sauce which I often find quite standard (aka bottled) HOWEVER this peanut sauce was chunky and not overly sweet, a tad of tang— definitely house made. Next up, I looove a good red curry and I WAS NOT disappointed , so creamy and flavorful with a perfect amount of spice that left a tingle but wasn’t too much to handle. Yummy crisp bamboo shoots, string beans, and peppers. I ordered with the snapper which I don’t see offered in many Thai places, so what a treat. It was served so crispy and hot before it soaked into the curry.
To note, they were closing for the night and truly were so kind to seat us… with that being the case, brown rice was the only option, I thought it would taste like cardboard. I was totally wrong— it was fluffy and grainy and flavorful, my kids asked for more! My husband had the Pad Se Eww and said it was on point— my little son a picky eater shared with him (sans veggies) and cleared his plate which said a lot! Terrific place, great for kids, low key, cozy and warm. Perfect for when you’re looking for a comfortable spot that’s not too upscale or overly pricey. Extra note, we did not order from the kids menu, but such wonderful kid options for those children that might not have the palate for Thai food. Extra bonus for the vegetarians or non meat eaters like me; they have mock duck on the menu which is always such wonderful option for those who know. What really made our experience special was learning that the family matriarch cooks everything herself with love— you can truly taste it. Such kind people— their touch permeated the flavors. Can’t wait to return! Thank you for a fabulous family Thai dinner!“

This morning was rough as we had issues checking into our hotel, but we are so glad that the first place we went to (suitcases in hand) was Cluck U. It easily turned our morning around. “One of my favorites ever since I was a kid. The chimis are just unbeatable. Chips and salsa (free!) are fresh and out of this world. Prices seem high, but not compared to anything else in red bank and probably because I remember when you could get the same thing for $12 20 years ago. Highly recommend. This is the pinnacle of American Mexican food.

“Panera makes rather good and unique sandwiches and salads. They don't seem to have a large variety on the menu, but what they make I think is pretty good. I do enjoy their bread, especially with soup. Like being able to customize the salads with the toppings and everything on the screens. For me this is a nice convenience.“
