“Sol is one of those rare neighborhood restaurants that really brings a community together. Good food, excellent vibes, and wonderful care and service from the owners and staff is reflected in the many smiling faces I see here every morning, evening, and on the weekends when I pass by.
I finally got the chance to stop in for a proper meal (normally I grab a reasonably priced breakfast sandwich and a coffee here while I'm running for the bus) and I was delighted with my experience. The Sol Breakfast Platter hit the spot with a bold, hot cup of coffee! The music and general vibrancy of the room added to my pleasure of the experience. I look forward to coming back again with my wife in the near future to try out more of the delicious sounding items on the menu!
Parking: Free street parking on Livingston Ave or Stevens Street, but in a tight neighborhood
Kid-friendliness: The restaurant is very family friendly. I often see full families enjoying meals together.

“I have been a customer since opening day way back when. Today, I was a bit disappointed. Jose's rice was extremely salty. 2 of us could not eat it. I am disappointed in the nachos. You used to have fabulous flour tortilla chips. Not any more. They are corn. Overdone. Not a fan. Tortillas were great, especially the duo of skirt steak and chicken. Go back to the old flour tortilla nachos!“

“We visited on a Friday night without a reservation, and despite the crowd, we were seated within just five minutes—impressive! The service was attentive and efficient, ensuring a smooth dining experience. The food was flavorful, well-prepared, and served in generous portions. “Food was absolutely delightful, and the service was superb. My party especially enjoyed the caring, loving service of our esteemed food runner Andrew Peter Visokay the third. However, we simply cannot rate this fine establishment a review because Andrew Peter was not with us the entire team! The restaurant was simply too busy for this wonderful customer service employee to care for us to the best of his ability, leading to this four star review.“

“I had the steak burrito at the Piscataway location today and it did not disappoint. Excellent food and the nachos with Nutella are fire. They had so many fresh made salsa and bottled hot sauce to put on my burrito. I think I found my new Mexican spot. Can't wait to try more of the menu. Highly recommend. 10/10“

“Food is fresh and delicious with so many options to choose from. Chips and salsa are free with each meal ( you don’t have to pay for them), the staff is wonderful and the place is clean! Queso is a must!!“
