“I took my dad here for lunch and had an incredible time! Jeerapan, the manager, was our host and server. He was gracious, kind, and make wonderful recommendations. We had chicken dumplings as appetizers, two tasty entrees, and a mango sticky rice dessert that was perfect for summer. The Thai iced teas are a must when ordering anything with spice.

“Real Thai Halal is truly a hidden gem for Thai food lovers in north Jersey! Even though it’s a takeout-only spot, the food quality is absolutely top notch. We tried their chicken satay, fried rice, beef drunken noodles, and fish cake, and every single dish was spot on. The chicken satay was juicy and flavorful, the fried rice perfectly seasoned, the beef drunken noodles had that authentic bold Thai flavor with tender beef, and the fish cake was delicious and well balanced. Drunken noodles is my absolutely fav to-go food, so good that can eat it the whole day.

“The curry puff appetizer had excellent texture and flavour. My Thai iced tea tasted good if a bit stronger than I am used to at the start, but the flavour balanced as the ice melted. Our mains were decent, except that some of the beef pieces in my Pad Thai were overly chewy.

A common issue I have with restaurants in the US is that servers like to talk a lot and then fail to refill my water during my meal. I had no such issue here.“

Not just your average Thai restaurant, a very varied menu. I recommend the delicate little dumplings appetizer and the Lamb Chops with Lemongrass. “Overall the food was excellent. We were a party of three. The rule is to serve all three at the same time. They served us one at a time making us wait until three of us had food. Not a favorable process. I ordered Tom Tom noodles with seafood, spicy. The broth was over the top spicy. Reason was simple. Rather than slicing the Thai chillie in half, it was chopped finely, hence increasing the heat factor exponentially. I like very spicy food but this was over the top for me.“

“Had a wonderful dining experience with polite and attentive staff who made us feel very welcome throughout the meal. The Malay and Thai food was excellent with great flavors and freshness.

For appetizers, we ordered the veg roti canai, veg fried dumplings, and papaya salad, all were delicious and a perfect start to the meal. I am a vegetarian and I love roti canai but most places add chicken broth to it, so I am not able to eat it. I was so pleasantly surprised that this restaurant has a vegetarian version. It was so good that we ordered another plate of roti canai. For the main course, we tried the Thai basil, Thai pineapple curry, and chilli chicken. The Thai basil and pineapple curry were especially flavorful and paired very well with rice.

The only slight disappointment was my husband's order of chilli chicken, which turned out to be a dry entrée and not the best choice to have with rice but it was on us for not confirming before ordering.

Overall, the food, service, and experience were excellent, and I would definitely recommend this place for great Malay and Thai cuisine. I definitely want to go back for another round of roti canai.“

“When you are craving greasy but tasty Chinese take out that you'll probably regret this is the place for you. Their entrees are actually generous with meat and it's pretty tasty/surprisingly fresh. I like that they are open later than most places.“

“My family has been coming here weekly for about 3 years now. The staff is extremely friendly, and they always talk to and play with our children (2 and 4). We always do sushi, but our kids do the udon noodles and sometimes the sesame/general tso chicken and we have not been disappointed. We recommend this restaurant to everyone.“
