“Ordered for the first time since learning they moved & opened their doors in Morris Plains! They were our FAVORITE restaurant in Cedar Knolls! “This is a brand new, recently opened restaurant and wow did they deliver for first impressions. Food was absolutely incredible. The sushi was fresh and made quickly. I had the volcano roll and the Naruto rainbow row, it was beautiful and delicious. Very good quality cuts and tasted fresh Really impressed by their milk tea as well. We got the original and Taro milk tea and it was fantastic. Staff was also very friendly and helpful in deciding what to order. Would definitely be coming back the next time I’m in town!“

“The food is top notch. From the soup to the sushi. Even the ice cream is delicious. What really bothers me though is the service. There is a 90 minute time limit which I get but when you are rushed to get out by an hour that’s not right. Also when you’re hounding tables waiting to literally take a plate because you have nothing else to do that’s a problem. Finally when you’re coming up to tables and asking them for platters back because you don’t have enough supposedly that’s not good either. Last night I was hounded constantly. Twice I had people tell me to move my sushi to my paper plate because they needed the platter. May I suggest buying more platters. Love the food and yes I know I’ll be back but the service was ridiculous in your face. Don’t come here for date night because they don’t leave you alone“

“This hidden gem is by far the best sushi in… all of NJ and even competes on the same level as NY sushi. Always fresh and delicious. I especially love the special rolls that are topped with copious amounts of marinated tuna and salmon. The flavor is so good, idk how they do it. A must try for sushi lovers!“

“Popped in for a late lunch on New Year's Day and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of food! Firstly, don't judge the size of the venue because the menu is seven pages!! So many choices!! I had the most tasty, smooth and crunchy, sushi pizza!! I paired it with a healthy seaweed salad. My hubby enjoyed a tasty Miso Soup and Alaska Roll while listening to Abba's greatest hits in the background! What a fun venue! Cindy, our server was so friendly! A must visit when in the area!! Or drive from far away because it is worth it!!! And one more thing, very reasonably priced too!!!“

“Best sushi restaurant in the area! They’re really good at doing special rolls that are complex without being so over the top that you lose the flavor. BYOB and prices are similar to other restaurants in the area. Reservations usually aren’t needed and service is good. Love the white dragon roll and their pork gyoza and crispy duck appetizers

One of my friends convinced me to try it, and I fell in love.My only complaint which is small, I don't like the after taste from some of the dishes. “Delicious sushi! Good prices. Lots to pick from - we enjoyed a bit of everything from the sushi menu. They have a few tempura rolls, a few naruto rolls (cucumber wrapped, no rice), and a whole 2 pages for regular and special rolls. I enjoyed everything my table tried. Lots of variety to find something for you!

Lost a star for me on service - vibe is nice but we waited a while to order and receive our check even though there were very few guests dining in on a Friday night. Seems like a great takeout choice otherwise!“

Prices are fair for the quality you are getting. They are takeout only, but there are plenty of cute spots to sit and eat, including a table in front of the restaurant! “My wife and I have been coming to Mitsuba for many years and have never had a bad experience. We ate there just last night, the appetizers rolls and sashimi we got were fresh and delicious, as always. “I love Fan Bistro!!!!???? Best food in town. They might as well know me because of how often I order from them. The hibachi meals- disgusting (that’s slang for amazing) in other words, gods must’ve crafted this. The atmosphere is postmodern, with comfortable color and large brass buddha. I hate sushi but the tuna sushi is ?!! Soy sauce? More like girl boss!! Love this place, man. Just adore this food, on god; fax ong. One time I ordered chicken hibachi; got steak teriyaki. But hey, enjoyed it all the same.

The hospital food is so bad and we decided to order take out from Aikou for our last night in recovery. We ordered the Pad Thai Chicken (outstanding), Pork Gyoza (outstanding), Basil Thai Chicken (wife said it was good, not great, but she has very high standards), and the Scallion Pancakes (good, not great). The soy sauce had a tangy twang to it and I just wanted to drink it. This was a very special treat for us, and we excited to go sit down in the restaurant next time.“

“Unexpectedly great. We arrived without reservations on a holiday Monday for a light dinner while traveling thru Morristown. My husband picked this place and we arrived as-is, clearly underdressed. I figured that since it was a Westin hotel that we could pass off as travellers.
The menu had just changed over to the Autumn menu - hearty, earth items like Fall mushrooms, truffle crispy gnocchi, beets salad, foie gras etc. Lots of items to choose from. Our favs were the Fall wild mushrooms and the Caesar Salad. Kids enjoyed the grilled cheese and wings. They rated the fries 4.5/5 (which is really great).
Ambiance: my youngest commented that this is one of the nicest hotel restaurants he's been in (granted he doesn't remember half the places we've been). For a corporate business hotel, the restaurant is very comfortable and warm. Attentive, friendly staff. Decent wine selection and autumn cocktail menu. Plenty of banquet seating along the wall with 2 tops to have a nice solo meal and people watching. On the upper platform of the dining room dedicated for group corporate dinners.
Overall a solid upscale corporate, group restaurant venue. Still comfortable enough for a casual meal. Just be aware of the cost. It's definitely priced as up market.
