“Very impressed with Ju-Ichi Japanese Restaurant dining experience. We came before 6 pm with a large group knowing we might have to wait but was able to be seated in less than 30 mins.
Our group ordered to dine “family-style” to allow us to sample a wide range of dishes. The rolls, and hand rolls are very good as were the bowls of udon and other dishes we’d sampled.
Service was quick and efficient.“

“My family has been coming here weekly for about 3 years now. The staff is extremely friendly, and they always talk to and play with our children (2 and 4). We always do sushi, but our kids do the udon noodles and sometimes the sesame/general tso chicken and we have not been disappointed. We recommend this restaurant to everyone.“

“I had a great experience here. I ordered the sushi combo. I got shrimp tempura, soup and a house salad on the side. It was very delicious and the service was very nice. She is a very sweet lady. The atmosphere is small but very pleasant and calm if you want a quiet spot.“

There is a 90 minute time limit which I get but when you are rushed to get out by an hour that’s not right. Also when you’re hounding tables waiting to literally take a plate because you have nothing else to do that’s a problem. Finally when you’re coming up to tables and asking them for platters back because you don’t have enough supposedly that’s not good either. Last night I was hounded constantly. Twice I had people tell me to move my sushi to my paper plate because they needed the platter. May I suggest buying more platters. Love the food and yes I know I’ll be back but the service was ridiculous in your face. Don’t come here for date night because they don’t leave you alone“

“Delicious sushi! Good prices. Lots to pick from - we enjoyed a bit of everything from the sushi menu. They have a few tempura rolls, a few naruto rolls (cucumber wrapped, no rice), and a whole 2 pages for regular and special rolls. I enjoyed everything my table tried. Lots of variety to find something for you!

“This is a brand new, recently opened restaurant and wow did they deliver for first impressions. Food was absolutely incredible. The sushi was fresh and made quickly. I had the volcano roll and the Naruto rainbow row, it was beautiful and delicious. Very good quality cuts and tasted fresh Really impressed by their milk tea as well. We got the original and Taro milk tea and it was fantastic. Staff was also very friendly and helpful in deciding what to order. Would definitely be coming back the next time I’m in town!“

Been coming here for over 15 years and it’s still my local favorite Japanese style restaurant. Food is consistently good, both sushi and kitchen. Menu hasn’t changed much over the years but that’s fine, as they stay true to their strengths. A wholehearted nod to their traditional Japanese and Asian fusion flavors. My parents and I agree it’s the best and closest to authentic sushi and Japanese cuisine in the area, and we’ve been to 9 of them. Service is always attentive, warm, and accommodating. Space is polished and spacious. Great for families, with big or little ones. Takeout is always a breeze.

Solid local Japanese restaurant. Staff is extremely friendly and ambience I a respectable attempt at creating an authentic japanese dining experience. The food is consistently good and with the exception of sushi/sashimi purists, most Japanese food lovers should expect a positive dining experience. Sushi/sashimi fare is good. There are creative and tasty rolls if that is your fancy. The cooked dishes actually taste like my mom's old home cooking and my personal draw. In my opinion, they do a solid job with the hot plates and especially with their nabeyaki udon, perfect on those cold nights. Give it a try with an open mind and bring a generous serving of BYOB.“

“My daughter and her roommate from rutgers went there got all you could eat sushi weren't happy with it and they were charged for the entire thing even though they told the owner it didn't taste right they've been sick for the last 2 days throwing Up from both ends don't go near this place“

“My family and I made a visit to Go Sushi in Scotch Plains and were blown away with how good the food was! The photos I attached don’t do justice to how amazing all the food was. We had something as simple as edamame and that was even super yummy. We had the viral sushi push up pop and chicken wrapped asparagus as appetizers. As for our entrees, we have the most delicious dinner bento box with a nice selection of sides. Everything was cooked perfectly and bursting with flavors. Our server was the sweetest lady and very helpful, answering any questions we had. And to end the night off strong we had Ice Cream Tempura, where they fried Green Tea ice cream. Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it, I loved it and I’m not even a big fan of green tea! All four of us left with full bellies and a smile on our faces. There was no negative take away from our experience, an all around 10/10!! Can’t recommend them enough, may they forever stay open :)“

Had to throw everything in the garbage today - sushi rolls (spicy tuna and spicy salmon) did not smell fresh at all, looked very different. Ramen soup was disguisting. We used to love this place, truly loved. But last couple of times food seems not the same. Also Doordash took two hours to deliver instead of promised 45 min- have a feeling they were looking for fresh fish and could not find it - so result was obvious. It’s been about 15 years that we’ve been ordering from Fan Bistro monthly (sometimes weekly!) We have also had several major celebrations at the restaurant. My family and I commented today that we cannot remember one time that they didn’t get our order right. The food is exceptional and delicious every single time. “Sarku has good food but its a little bland. It tastes like they don't put any seasoning on the cabbage and the chicken could use more flavor. The price is fair. It was about $12 for a meal. But don't let how they plate it fool you, there is not much meat. I rearranged you so you can see how much meat there really is. All the meat fits into the small compartment for sides.“

“We came for a quick and relaxing Saturday night meal. We were seated at a booth. The owner served us as she ran around managing all aspects of the business. We ordered scallion pancakes as a shared appetizer and I had a cup of wonton soup. My entree was chicken Mei fun and my dinner guest had pineapple chicken with brown rice. The portions were ample and all food was prepared and presented well. The scallion pancakes were crispy and not dripping in oil. The wonton soup was tasty and not salty. Overall we had no complaints. The business does what appears to be a greater pick up business than dine in. The restaurant decor is pleasant. We certainly will come back.“

“Food was 4.5, just missing 5 due to some missing touches, spicy scallops roll was not spicy and wasabi tuna dumplings were missing wasabi.

With this said the sushi and sashimi was excellent and no reason to not return time and again!
