In fact, our table was last to receive each course of the meal, and it was just too slow. The bill for 4, with tip, was $650, which is too much to receive such poor service.“

“It's always a delight to eat at Bruno's Bistro. The atmosphere is so warm and friendly. We're visiting family and getting to eat delicious, freshly prepared food. Some of our favorites are the cheese gnocchi with crabmeat in vodka sauce, short ribs, and the paroadelle bolognese. The pistachio dessert is to die for. “On Friday, I came across an article that this was voted number one in Sussex County New Jersey. I was intrigued. I love Pizza so much; unfortunately, for many years I had no desire going out for pizza because everywhere I went It was terrible. I’m born and raised in Milford, PA in Pike county. I fell in love with L&B’s in Brooklyn; but it’s been 17 years since I’ve been there last. Friday night I ordered the presto pizza two slices of it, and I fell in love after the first bite. The waitress and I’m sorry I forgot her name asked me what I thought and I loved it. It was incredible. My mission now is to try every pizza on the menu. That’s my goal finishing out 2025 into 2026 thank you thank you thank you. You have gained new customers, my husband and I. 💚🤍❤️“

“Small but excellent Italian deli with all the classics. The Italian and chicken cutlet hero’s were on point, quality of the meats and cheeses were on the level you’d expect from a shop that is importing many of their ingredients directly from Italy.

The $3 Parmesan and prosciutto arancini were a great snack to add on as well. Look forward to going back and working my way through the menu.“

“A Hidden Gem in Wharton That Keeps Getting Better!

This evening we had a truly wonderful dinner at Reno’s Pizzeria and Restaurant in Wharton, NJ. From start to finish, everything about our visit was top-notch. Our server, Shirley, was incredibly attentive—friendly, prompt, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. What really stood out, though, was that Reno himself came by to check in and ensure we were enjoying our evening. It’s not every day you see that level of care and pride from an owner, and it absolutely elevated the experience.

We started with two fantastic appetizers—the eggplant rollatini and little neck clams in marinara sauce. Both were delicious, fresh, and beautifully prepared. For entrees, we chose the mahi mahi in mango sauce special and the shrimp scampi over linguini. Each dish was cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. Compliments to the chef—truly excellent work in the kitchen!

We ended our meal on a sweet note with the mini cannolis, which were perfectly crispy and bursting with flavor.

Although Reno’s (formerly Maria’s) has been a staple in town for some time, their recent expansion into a charming sit-down dining area has added so much to the local dining scene. It’s cozy, welcoming, and a perfect spot for a relaxed and satisfying dinner. Reno’s is a real asset to Wharton, and we’ll definitely be back! (PS It's BYOB!)“

“To be fair, my rating is over 4. It's more like a 4.6 since 1 of us 6 mentioned a slight negative about the flavor of her chicken. And our per person cost was about $50. I expected that, but that's okay. The sights outside were very nice. The grandchildren enjoyed themselves which is a plus. If you have a boat, you can actually dock it at the Windlass and order a meal. They also have several cabana looking coverings along the dock which can be reserved so you can enjoy your meal there. My wife noticed that the seating can glide forward and back.“
