“To be fair, my rating is over 4. It's more like a 4.6 since 1 of us 6 mentioned a slight negative about the flavor of her chicken. And our per person cost was about $50. I expected that, but that's okay. The sights outside were very nice. The grandchildren enjoyed themselves which is a plus. If you have a boat, you can actually dock it at the Windlass and order a meal. They also have several cabana looking coverings along the dock which can be reserved so you can enjoy your meal there. My wife noticed that the seating can glide forward and back.“

“It's always a delight to eat at Bruno's Bistro. The atmosphere is so warm and friendly. We're visiting family and getting to eat delicious, freshly prepared food. Some of our favorites are the cheese gnocchi with crabmeat in vodka sauce, short ribs, and the paroadelle bolognese. The pistachio dessert is to die for. Their whipped cream is homemade and to perfection. Mangia and enjoy!“

“It's pricier than an average restaurant, but if you're looking for a more upscale experience this place is a great choice. And that's coming from someone who doesn't prefer upscale places. The meatball appetizer is amazing, as is the cheese pastry appetizer. There are a lot of pasta dishes that you won't find in a normal restaurant. I can say this pretty confidently because I didn't recognize half of the items on the menu =D

The pasta is all homemade and the sauces were delicious.

The atmosphere is perfect for small groups. My wife and I went with two other couples and it was very easy to visit and hear each other. The music playing on the speakers wasn't loud enough to interfere with any conversation, and it was just loud enough to provide some nice background music.

“Small but excellent Italian deli with all the classics. The Italian and chicken cutlet hero’s were on point, quality of the meats and cheeses were on the level you’d expect from a shop that is importing many of their ingredients directly from Italy.

Needless to say we left with Doggie Bags, enough food for the next two days! The dining area is just a lovely space with white tablecloths & Italian pictures on the walls. “I like this place. It's not the best Italian restaurant, but the food is solid and the service was good. The prices are about the same as most other local restaurant. The night we went i wasn't too hungry so i decided to order the grilled chicken pannini because i thought it would be on the lighter side and not too filling. It was huge and very good. I would go back just for that. I tried a slice of the pizza which was thin crust and that darkened cheese style that seems to be popular around here. It was pretty good but not a standout like the pannini. My only negative about the experience was the drain flies. There were several in the bathroom and some had made their way to the dining room. That is the reason for minus one stars. Overall i recommend this place.“

“It is a pizza place. Not much to say about atmosphere. Tables and chairs, booths, and a back area with more tables. Something is different...maybe the crust? Their pizza is not as good as it used to be. They still have a lot of pizza choices and other menu items. Garlic knots are good but I dislike that they sit on counter all day. The tortellini pizza used to taste delicious and now it is ok.“

This evening we had a truly wonderful dinner at Reno’s Pizzeria and Restaurant in Wharton, NJ. From start to finish, everything about our visit was top-notch. Our server, Shirley, was incredibly attentive—friendly, prompt, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. What really stood out, though, was that Reno himself came by to check in and ensure we were enjoying our evening. It’s not every day you see that level of care and pride from an owner, and it absolutely elevated the experience.

We started with two fantastic appetizers—the eggplant rollatini and little neck clams in marinara sauce. Both were delicious, fresh, and beautifully prepared. For entrees, we chose the mahi mahi in mango sauce special and the shrimp scampi over linguini. Each dish was cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. Compliments to the chef—truly excellent work in the kitchen!

We ended our meal on a sweet note with the mini cannolis, which were perfectly crispy and bursting with flavor.

Although Reno’s (formerly Maria’s) has been a staple in town for some time, their recent expansion into a charming sit-down dining area has added so much to the local dining scene. It’s cozy, welcoming, and a perfect spot for a relaxed and satisfying dinner. Reno’s is a real asset to Wharton, and we’ll definitely be back! (PS It's BYOB!)“
