“Excellent food and outstanding staff. Our server was Jen and she couldn’t have been nicer. My nephew, Max Clayton, is performing in White Christmas at the Papermill. We were a group of 10 from NH looking for a place for dinner before the show. Max raved about the food at the Millburn Standard and recommended we go there. The staff was friendly, very accommodating to our large party (we did call for reservations, but they don’t take them) and the food was excellent (get the nachos!) “This place is a gem.
The best time to go is at around 3:00. The restaurant was virtually empty when we arrived and we were seated immediately.
As soon as we ordered our food, it was on our table within 7 minutes.
Our waiter was very kind!
I highly recommend the Rainbow roll and the Kinya Ramen bowl.
The serving sizes are large and more than enough for one person.
My boyfriend and I plan to return for the excellent food and upstanding service.

We began our feast with a couple of platters of Nachos El Gordo that were huge and absolutely delicious and went perfectly with the chosen wines, margaritas, and assorted cocktails our family ordered. The cocktails were of the beautiful quality that we've only seen on TV during cooking shows or restaurant series. The edible flowers and the smoke emitting drinks were amazing. We were served by a wonderfully friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive waitress. She was able to answer every question and had plenty of patience for our crowd who were amazed by the menu. Especially the "Smart" menus that detail each item at the flip of your finger. What an upscale & impressive touch that is. After we ordered our entrees we enjoyed more cocktails and had some time to talk and enjoy the unbelievable decor that seemed to have an endless amount of thought and class put into the decor of this authentic Cantina. The service was beyond excellent and our meals came out hot and enticing and as pleasing to the eyes as it was to our pallets. This was authentic delicious, beautiful meals that made the party seem like were were enjoying fantastic Cantina style food right in Mexico. I highly recommend the burritos, enchiladas, the Mexican Caesar salad, fajitas and I'm sure that rest of the menu has to be outstanding if everything the 12 of us had was that delicious. Besides the wonderful service, drinks, food and authentic atmosphere, topping the celebration off was when the owner came over to our table , introduced himself and made sure everything was as fabulous as possible. Believe me it was. Then the Head Chef came out and asked if everything up to our expectations to which we all agreed this place out did every single Mexican restaurant we've ever been to. I highly recommend La Colina in Warren NJ and I know you won't be disappointed in the food , atmosphere or the service. We surely will be back !!!!“

Had the tuna tartare- think they can sauce up a little bit and hit with a " vehicle" ( tostada, etc), but overall, fine!! And surprisingly fresh for the area. Grilled Caesar- fantastic. Croquettes ( jamon) more my husbands thing but the sauce was good and I totally enjoyed ! Staff is sweet and super excited to have you. Ambiance is gorgeous. And honestly- food, room for improvement but definitely a major highlight of the area.

For those of you submitting bad reviews, shame on you. I have to take a guess and say 1.) you think you have taste because you lived in Murray Hill for a couple years, did a stint and Hoboken then made your way to the suburbs of Jersey. News flash, it's northern Jersey. You should be appreciative this place is putting an effort in to offer a more elegant experience than the harvest restaurants and chipotle around town. These people are trying, and we should be encouraging this type of development in our town as much as possible. OR 2.) you're so violently upset by the costing of tapas that you blow their whole rating on that, you aren't the target audience.

“First time at Eataly in Short Hills. Food was really good but the service wasn’t. Long waits to order - to get water - to get a kids menu, and then the server didn’t pace the order so that the entrees came out at the same time. Half of our party got their pizza a full 30 minutes before the half of the party that ordered pasta or other mains. As we were waiting for the rest of our food she explained how the pizza comes out so much faster - I guess she just didn’t think to put in the order accordingly. The food was all great. We could have used Parmesan for the bolognese, but couldn’t wait for the server to come back before eating it. It looked like an issue with one server, versus the overall experience. But that’s our hopeful thinking. We will give it another try.“
