When I walked in the girl making sandwiches smiled at me and told me she'd be right with me. There was a long line and not many people to make the sandwiches but I felt so much compassion for this young girl because she was working hard and making sure everyone was getting there sandwiches as quickly and neatly as possible. When I ordered she was kind to me and very helpful. And plus the food is delicious and the place is very clean. 10/10. Would recommend.“

I had reviewed the menu and had come up with a figure of $300.00, which by my calculations would provide enough subs, salads and sides for all involved. Probably with some left over. Joe the owner and his employee Desire questioned me about the number of people I wished to serve, and at that point told me that I was ordering too much food! Upon Joe's advice, I ordered a menu which came to a final total of $215.00! Everything was delicious, and there was some left over, just as Joe supposed there would be. It was a nice, professional gesture on his part, and a good way to treat a customer.“

“I love their vegan bakery and they even sometimes have vegan prepared food like vegan soy chicken or meatballs. They usually have a packaged soup that’s chik’n orzo vegetable, and I enjoy it, but it hasn’t been there recently (nor have the prepared vegan foods). The hot bar is not vegan friendly. They have lots of produce and vegan alternatives such as frozen foods like ice cream and frozen meals. They have a wide selection of vegan cheeses and vegan dairy, lots of vegan supplements and protein powders, and fun new items every week. They have lots of vegan crunchy snacks like Hippeas and Vegan Rob’s. It is definitely expensive, but I don’t think that will stop me from going here.“

“We had been to this place on our way to New York. A good subway place with enough room for customers to sit and dine. There are plenty parking as well. There was only one person to serve and the young lady was very friendly and provided a thankful service. Subway we ordered was very delicious and I would go there anytime. Since there was only one person working there, I experienced a bit of a delay. Again that happens in most Subway places away from cities. There is a clean restroom as well.“

“I worked at J&M for years and this was the best nearby place for lunch when tips were good on a Saturday. I realized over the years that this is by far the best sloppy joe sandwich anywhere in north New Jersey. I now live in the greater Philadelphia area, and still bring a cooler with me when I travel to the Madison area to bring a few of these sandwiches back with me to enjoy. So happy to see they are still in business, glad that some good things never change!“

“Ordered 50 veggie patty subs for volunteers at a local Health Fair. Maulika was very pleasant and friendly, and still gave me a good price even though there was a misunderstanding between whether I ordered all veggie sub or veggie patty sub. She was so accommodating and even gave us a free sub to “taste”. Customer service was excellent. Place was clean. Subs were ready on time, and delicious. We got extra condiments. Maulika’s co worker was also very friendly. A good experience. We were happy to spend our money here!

“I have finally had a sub from a SUBWAY® that is worth 4 stars. It is The Monster with double meat and whatever toppings you prefer. I went with Garlic Aoli, Red Wine Vinegar, Lettuce, Tomato, Spinach, Black Olive, Jalapeño, Banana Peppers, Black Pepper and Oregano. Not toasted. The question is, is it worth $17? Nah. I honestly cannot tell the difference between their presliced meat to their newly sliced fresh meat. For chains, Jersey Mike’s is much higher quality for $1 - $2 more. Jersey Mike’s is actually less expensive had I went to the Avenel Subway location. The same sub there was $20! If you are in Central/North Central NJ, do yourself a favor and just go to Tastee Subs in Metuchen.
