The food (across the street at Dingos) is top notch and fairly priced and I've never had poor service at the bar. It ONLY loses one star because I have had many friends (and bands) who have Not had good experiences there, and sometimes that varies greatly depending on who is working the shift and what kind of mood they are in at the time. But I always try to encourage bands to play here - the stage is SMALL and there's no green room but unless you're a bunch of pretentious jerks, the staff WILL take care of you, and your fans will be grateful for the up close and more personal experience that you simply cannot get at big venues.“

“Tankys is the spot! These people in the comments below complaining about it being unsafe just have nothing better to do. Other bars right down the block plays music just as loud and stays open just as late. Besides the one incident last year, there aren’t any brawls or fights that happen there. Most ppl that go there are regulars and know each other. “This is the best bar and my favorite bar in JC. I come for the tots and stay for the drinks and the jukebox. Every time I come here is a great time. It’s a bit small and gets crowded Friday through Sunday so come a bit earlier for a seat at the bar. Very friendly atmosphere, sports and mtv vids shown. The only thing that could make this place better is showing mma fights 💜“
