“I saw this place while driving . I wanted to try authentic Yemeni coffee. I tried Sana’ani coffee which is medium roast coffee with cardamom. I enjoyed this exotic taste. Store is clean and comfortable. Staff is knowledgeable about coffee. They offer authentic Yemeni desserts and America and desserts. They also nice selection of exotic teas.“

“Stunning cafe. Hidden gem for sure. In the middle of the craziest morning, I couldn’t have had a better slowdown than Orange House Cafe. The barista was really patient, kind. I was really taken aback when I saw the elegantly made cappuccino presented to me and the cookie smells delightful. Can’t wait to come back everyday.“

“Gaby was super helpful and attentive. I wasn’t sure which percent of dark chocolate I would like so she was able to explain the difference between 60,75 and 85% of dark chocolate. She also mentioned the loyalty program that no one had previously mentioned so I was able to join! Looking forward to coming back !“

“I enjoy this coffee shop. The environment is great. Their drinks are phenomenally better than Starbucks. It's not as noisy as other coffee shops in the area. The sunlight is great in the library room.

The only downside is that one of the male baristas is not very friendly and he looks annoyed when you order a drink. He has consistently tried to close the shop 15-30 minutes early. He shuts down and cleans the machines before the end of shift so if you arrive like 15-20 minutes before closing time you might not be able to buy the drink you drove 20 minutes to get. I completely understand wanting to be efficient and needing to leave but it's inconvenient when you've driven 20 minutes across town for a to go drink based on the hours posted. He has also turned down other people so I'm not the only one with this experience.

I've been several times and female baristas are extremely friendly. Otherwise it was a 5 star experience. I just always hope I don't get the grumpy barista. It seems like I usually run into him though.

Parking: Sometimes the parking lot is full and it's hard to find a space due to the other businesses in complex.“

“For a few years, this has been my go to spot when I'm in the Ironbound. Cool vibe and ambiance. Hit or miss on portion sizes. A very notable change over the years. The bacon side is way too small (two skinny slices). The avocado toast has significantly decreased in size but at the same price point, and it's often more cream cheese than avocado most times. Yet, and somewhat reminds me of being back in Brooklyn. Good coffee.“

Dietary restrictions: I have a peanut allergy and didn't die after ordering a coffee drink and an iced tea. They do use Almond milk though - not sure about cross contamination. I didn't eat any of the goodies. Brought a cookie from Little Daisy Bakeshop (peanut free place).“

“Jackie Smalls – My New Favorite Brunch Spot!

I don’t usually go out for brunch because most places serve the same old eggs and pancakes, but Jackie Smalls completely changed my mind. This has to be my favorite breakfast/brunch spot I’ve tried!

I ordered the Freekeh Bowl, Grains of Nazareth, and French Toast, and every dish was incredibly fulfilling and well-balanced. But let me tell you—the French Toast was hands down the best I’ve ever had. They use sourdough bread infused with rose, which adds such a unique flavor. The whipped cream on the side was unbelievably fresh (unlike anything I’ve had before!), and the maple syrup had just the right amount of sweetness.

If you haven’t been to Jackie Smalls yet, you need to give it a try. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!“

“I am a local from New Jersey now living in Germany, came back to visit and was in the mood for a Poke Bowl. I have to say I have been to many poke places and this is THE BEST ONE. Everything tastes fresh. I love that you have many options on creating your bowl. I also had a taro bubble tea and it was delicious! Employees are very friendly and welcoming. I will be stopping here a few more times before I head back to Germany!“

In short, from the atmosphere to some of the most incredible and kind hearted staff you’ll meet to one of the best coffees you’ll ever have, this place truly feels like a home. Every time I go, whether it’s at the Fairlawn or Ridgewood location, the staff never fails to make me smile and their coffee is really to die for. I’m a coffee fanatic and have tried countless places in the Bergen County area, Boston (where I live/go to school), and across the Bay Area/NorCal (where I was born and raised) and when I say Haus is one of my favorite coffee shops ever, you have to believe how insanely good it is. My partner and I first started visiting Local in 2021, and it's been our go-to since. Despite having four coffee shops closer to home, none of them match the quality of Local. That's why it's become part of our daily routine. We can always count on them to get it right. Plus, we've become friendly with the owners and baristas. Everyone there is professional and genuinely kind and caring.

Known for their warm and personal service, Local offers the best coffee and espresso in the Montclair area. Their menu is thoughtfully curated, featuring delicious seasonal drinks without overwhelming choices. My personal favorite? A perfectly crafted cappuccino, the perfect start to my mornings.

Though it's a small shop, there's plenty of seating both inside and outdoors. It's always a good sign when there are regulars hanging out, chatting or working. Somehow there is always plenty of room for all to enjoy the welcoming atmosphere. It's the perfect spot to catch up with old friends or make new ones :)

This place seems super new, and I've started stopping by after my classes at NJIT since it's nearby and opens early enough. The baristas/workers have great customer service and are very kind and welcoming! The space is quite small as there's only 4-5 tables, but considering the location, it's good for grab-n-go customers.
The food I've had so far are the blueberry danish, almond croissants, and the classic sandwich. Everything tastes fresh and it's great that the pastries are toasted/hot when they serve it. The drink selection is amazing, and the drinks I've had so far are the best in the area! The drinks seem pretty consistent-tasting too!

“Over a month ago while on a day trip to Upper Montclair with friends, I spied an artisanal chocolatier. Inside were bars, confections, hot chocolate and bark. I bought three bars for each of my friends. For myself, I took a Dominican Republic bar of organic single origin 66% and a packet of orangettes. I decided to eat both in Pune. The bar was enjoyed with every bite. The chocolate was smooth, non acidic and imparted a tasty finish. The orangettes I regrigerated due to the hot weather and have been eating and savoring each morsel slowly. Both my friends enjoyed their bars. The lady helping us was informative and gave us samples. When I return home, I plan to make another visit as it's far nicer than buying it online.“

I was just sitting in my office sipping on a latte that I ordered earlier today and had a moment of joy because it's so good, despite being a few hours old. The owner made my drink a month or so ago & gave me the wrong bubbles I asked for regular and she ended up giving me brown sugar and said can I come back the next day she will give me a free one lol long story short she wasn’t there the next day because I bring my daughter to this location and she was too lazy to fix my drink the day she messed it up. I get she was overwhelmed by working alone and having a lot of people ordering but she has to do better as an OWNER! Small micro batches made with natural ingredients and real flavors. Great owner and staff. Very nice people who go above and beyond to help create a wonderful experience. Small space but the flavor is large. They are getting ready to launch their second storefront in Lyndhurst. Go check them out. You won’t be disappointed. “I got an order off Uber eats today. I got two beef pastelitos and two tostadas. Both were perfect. The only reason I took off a star is because I ordered 2 mini chocolate cake desserts and received two mini carrot cakes instead. I honestly hate carrot cake so bad so it was disappointing because I did want something sweet. I also understand things happen. I would definitely recommend, hopefully next time I can try to the chocolate cake!“
