“We got the bandeja paisa, and beef empanadas. The empanadas were delicious just the right amount of crunch and very flavorful. The bandeja paisa lacked salt and flavor, everything tasted the same. The steak and beans in particular lacked seasoning. The salchicha and chicharrón were tasty they saved the dish. The servers were friendly and attentive.“

“This is a great little café/diner right next to the Westfield train station. We are fairly new to Westfield and went there for the first time a couple of weeks ago. We were wowed by the wonderful customer service of our waitress, Cindy. She was very attentive, provided great order suggestions and also brought over their delicious housemade hot sauce to go along with our eggs. All the food we ordered was wonderful, including the short stack of chocolate chip pancakes, the egg and cheese sandwich on a hard roll, and the Florentine omelette. The chef (maybe owner?), Ash even stopped by later on towards the end of our meal to check on how everything was. We meant to write this review right after that, but then never got around to it and when we went back today a few weeks later, we realized how much we needed to write this up! This time Kirsten and Cindy both helped us out, and Cindy remembered us by our orders from the last time even though we had only been here one time- very impressive and shows a great attention to detail and customer service. Ash came by also, and it was clear he remembered us as well. The food was fresh and tasty yet again (we got the French toast, egg and cheese sandwich, and Greek omelette this time) and the prices are great. This place is a gem and is definitely becoming one of our go-to spots!“

“We have been coming to Okie Pokii for years but this time I have to leave a review. Food are still really good. There's a promotion for free snow ice or waffle with $50+ purchase and dining in. We picked the mango snow ice. We thought it was just going to be a small sample sized snow cup, but it's not! It's a full massive size (look at the picture). Now Steve hosts a monthly Zoom Quiz Night and it is so much fun! A great locally owned cafe.“

“I ordered takeout today and it was fabulous! For some reason I thought that the menu was just dumplings and never looked further but it is so much more! The quality and completeness of my order was refreshing. I got the Bao Entree Deluxe (with no green peppers), the Pepper Steak for my green pepper loving friend, and the Bao Sampler platter (came with 2 dipping sauces). I also got 10% off the next order :). I also did not feel hungry 2 hours later which seems to always happen to me with chinese food and I don't get it often. The empanada are $5 but if you are a big empanada fanatic like me, you should definitely try it. The chicken and beef are my favorite. They are stuffed... no air pocket whatsoever. Pulled beef and pulled chicken.

The food was good but a bit blend. Just need a little more seasoning on the eggs especially. Maybe salt and pepper may solve it for some but I needed more. Lol

I got the breakfast tacos and added chicken to it. The chicken were just added on top and the were big pieces of chicken. I had to diced it myself to mesh it all together. You must be quick with the tacos or the tortilla gets very soft and makes it impossible to hold.

Overall I enjoy my empanada and took my leftover which I spice up the next day on the stove.

If in the area again, i would visit this place for their empanada and delicious ice coffee.

You can bring your dog here. Very dog friendly and I thing they were doing photoshoot with the dogs when I visited.“

“I come here a lot! I've never left a review, but today... I ordered a salad. I always order it with no tomatoes. First, I don't like them and second, I sometimes get itchy after eating them. So, in general I just avoid them. Today they put tomatoes in it. I got to the counter with the salad and receipt. They said they couldn't take it back, that they would have to toss it. So, I kept it and waited for them to prepare a new one.. When it was ready, an asian lady that I had never seen, asked me to bring it back.. She asked if I was allergic, to which I responded "yes, but I can give it to someone at work" I don't remember exactly how the conversation went but she asked me to give it back. Which is fine. I technically did not pay for it. However, I kind of could not believe it.. I asked if she wanted me to give it back to make sure I heard her right. She said yes.. So, I did. My point is, would you rather toss a salad because YOU made a mistake, as opposed to letting someone else eat it?? Is a free salad really going to make ANY difference to a business like Panera Bread? I felt so disappointed!! Not because of the salad itself. Again, I did not pay for it and my purpose was not to get a free salad.. It was more like sadness.. What kind of person prefers to throw out a salad when somebody else can actually eat it? How miserable do you have to be?? Anyway... Like I said, I come here a lot. They've gotten my order wrong a few times, but I've never said anything because who cares? If it's not a big deal, I just eat it. In this case, I could not and that's why I brought it to their attention.. In general, two men that I think are the managers are nice and attentive. The rest of the staff is ok. Place is clean. Music can be a bit too loud.“

“Guys, I stopped in yesterday to check the place out. I got to speak to Angie, one of the owners and I purchased a piece of Carrot Cake to take home. I had to take a bite the second I left the store. Just a taste. OMG! It was the best Carrot Cake that I ever had! So moist and full of flavor! I was very impressed. Sadly ... that piece of carrot cake barely made it to my car let alone back to my house! And you know what ... Not only was that carrot cake awesome, it was GLUTEN FREE. Now to put things into perspective for you all ... I own Ahrre's Coffee Roastery (Westfield & Summit) and -- way back in the 90's -- I owned the Common Ground Cafe in Summit. I have sampled cheese cake from countless commercial bakeries over the years. It was always my favorite type of cake and the ruler by which I judged the bakery. Taste Buddy is legit, folks! “A great place to spend a the day and not spend a lot of money. The pedal boats are $10 and seat up to 4 adults. The café has good food, drinks and ice cream at great prices. There is a playground for the kids across the street, areas for barbecues, walking trails and amazing wildlife. Bring your camera for some wonderful pictures. It's a great time for kids and adults alike. There's also a stocked lake for fishing.“
