“Brewed Awakening is the perfect spot for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. The food is consistently delicious, and some of my favorites include the BLT Sandwich (always made to perfection), the omelettes, and their Apple Caramel Butter Latte—a delightful seasonal treat. I first discovered the latte through a social media post a few weeks ago, and now Brewed Awakening has become my go-to spot every Sunday for a relaxing meal. The service is always warm and welcoming. Annie, the owner, often makes an appearance on the floor, either serving or checking in with guests to ensure they’re enjoying their visit. Her kindness and genuine hospitality make the experience even more special. I highly recommend stopping by Brewed Awakening for a delicious meal and a cozy, inviting atmosphere. “A delightful coffee shop in Scotch Plains. It has three rooms: a lovely sitting area with tables, a lounge area with a couch, and a coffee bar. The coffee is superb! It's on Westfield Ave., with convenient parking in the back (off Montague Ave.), watch for it carefully if you're driving, as it's easy to miss.“

“I love having a Dominican bakery so close. Everything we’ve had there has been FABULOUS!!! Honestly, some of the best coconut macaroons I have ever had and that includes ones I’ve had in DR. I had a coconut tree leches cake, and a strawberry short cake cup, which were both out of this world. The cold brew is so good, and the pumpkin sauce is on point. They’re also super friendly. Next time I need to try the pastelitos (empanadas).“

“I go there once a month to see my friend The Doms play there! Super clean, friendly, and occasionally the dog “Bronco” is there! He’s the sweetest dog ever! But definitely a friendly atmosphere! “This is the best frozen yogurt I have ever had!! Always very fresh and creamy… the texture is more like ice cream than yogurt. It never disappoints…great flavors, including a no sugar added option, and assorted toppings, some of which are very healthy like blueberries, strawberries, and walnuts. I have been a customer since it opened15 years ago! The owner, Gary, is super nice and friendly. He recently did a makeover and the place is beautiful! There is comfortable seating inside and outdoor benches if you want to sit out on a nice day. Treating myself to a cup never fails to brighten my day. Stop in… you won’t be sorry!“

“Boxwood Cafe is a gem! The owner has created a high quality coffee shop and the employees are very friendly. I like to stop by for a latte and a baked good (scone, cookie, or blueberry bar) and sit outside at one of the side tables. Pre-Covid, they hosted open mic night and quiz night every month. Now Steve hosts a monthly Zoom Quiz Night and it is so much fun! A great locally owned cafe.“

Rosa's is a spot that feels impossible - in between two doors at the Toyota service center, they're serving food that tops most diners I've been to. It almost feels like it shouldn't exist. “I went to this cafe for the first time with my friends and I found it very enjoyable. The poke bowls and tea are delicious although it can be a bit pricey. They have 3 ordering stations and private seating places which are perfect for studying but a bit dark lowkey. They also have free water which is a blessing. Parking is also easy to find🙏.“

“This place is officially my go to local bakery! Victoria and her mom Laurence have been nothing but kind and helpful each time I’ve went in. My friends and family raved about the triple chocolate cake i picked up for my sisters birthday and my best friend and i enjoy a quiet breakfast and cafe on the weekends! The decor is so welcoming and bright. It’s a great place to sit, and relax! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious pastries and French imports. “Frequent customer, but always blown away with the freshness of their summer menu. The shrimply the best tacos, which was originally on a tostada last summer, was just as amazing, but didn’t sit as heavy as a tostada. Love the move to a light tortilla. The Mexi-Avo toast was so filling and the flavors melted together so nicely. Don’t forget the decor inside is so cozy, boho/havana vibe and perfect for a date or girl’s brunch. 10/10“
