The shrimply the best tacos, which was originally on a tostada last summer, was just as amazing, but didn’t sit as heavy as a tostada. Love the move to a light tortilla. “Our 4-star Marriott hotel didn’t include breakfast, so we decided to look for a good coffee and breakfast spot nearby. We stumbled across this beautiful place called Lokal Coffee & Co, and it ended up being one of the best breakfast experiences we’ve had!

The matcha and coffee were exceptionally good. The coffee was rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced, you can really tell they care about the quality of what they serve. The waffles were amazing, and the fruit was incredibly fresh.

But the absolute highlight was the egg and avocado sandwich. Honestly, it might be my favorite breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. Everything about it was delicious and perfectly put together.

“Boxwood Cafe is a gem! The owner has created a high quality coffee shop and the employees are very friendly. I like to stop by for a latte and a baked good (scone, cookie, or blueberry bar) and sit outside at one of the side tables. Pre-Covid, they hosted open mic night and quiz night every month. Now Steve hosts a monthly Zoom Quiz Night and it is so much fun! A great locally owned cafe.“

This place looks like a rest stop restaurant. It’s connected to a pizzeria and bakery i think.

But I will say……. I had the BEST cold brew here. So flavorful and had sugar free syrups!

I got the cold brew with oatmilk and sugar free vanilla syrup and I finished the whole thing!

I typically only drink half my coffee due to acid reflux but man, the woman who made my drink. THANK YOU.
