“This food is amazing. HAND MADE TORTILLAS which I have never seen in a Philly taqueria before! We ordered one jamaica glass and they gave us a huge jug to share AND two extra cups to take out. The inside is pretty small & no frills, but the food is ABSOLUTELY worth it! I speak Spanish and the lady serving us was the owner, she mentioned they are struggling to stay open. “This is one of the best Mexican food trucks I’ve been to in Philly, without a doubt. Pollo and steak tacos are A+, and need nothing other than diced onion, cilantro, their perfectly fried onions, and salsa. The chicken tinga burrito is loaded with flavor, filled with plenty of tender, spicy chicken tinga, and not bogged down by too much rice, etc., so it’s well-balanced.

Mango agua was light and refreshing, and not too sweet. Their salsas are good and fresh, but at least one could be spicier. A little surprising, as the tinga is spicier than others I’ve had!

The main reason I’m docking one star is because the campechano quesadilla, although flavorful, had way, way too much grease drenching the quesadilla and the inside of the container it came in. The campechano would’ve absolutely worked better as a burrito, and could have been a better quesadilla if they’d drained some of the grease.

I’ve been just a few times, and may up my stars after I’ve tried more of the menu. I’m craving their burrito at this very moment, and will be back again very soon!“

“My husband is a lifelong Texan and we recently moved to Philly from Austin and have been searching for good breakfast tacos to no avail, until we found Taco Heart. He loves the Troubadour and the Carrine’s Fave. They have excellent options for me as a vegetarian, too. The migas…chefs kiss! And we love the brrrchata.

But the real thing that makes them taste like home is the green jalepeno sauce. It’s impossible to find. But they make it perfectly!!“

Coming from a family with roots in central Mexico, I can confidently say their tacos instantly transported me back to the streets of Mexico, sitting next to my dad, savoring every bite. It felt like home—comforting, authentic, and absolutely delicious.

Even though I live in Hainesport, NJ, I never hesitate to make the trip for their food. Distance is no obstacle when the reward is this good! I even convinced my husband to come with me to their food truck, and we both ordered the al pastor tacos with their spiciest salsa and an ice-cold bottled Coke. Let me tell you—it was *amazing*. Flavor-packed, satisfying, and completely worth it. Tacos Don Memo never disappoints!

“The food is great . They by far make the best tacos in the area. I especially love the chorizo and beef tongue tacos. My only gripe is that the lady who takes your order will over charge you. So make sure your getting the food your paying for. At first I thought I was tripping when I noticed that she charged me more for the same amount and kind of tacos i normally order than what the other guys charged me. I said something about it today and she said she had added one more taco to my order because she misheard me. (they dont give you the extra taco they charged you for). I would have been understanding had this been the first time but it was not. They did refund me for the extra taco when i said something about it. I have also heard other customers make the same complaint as me while waiting for my order. As a guy who spends most of his day working I am often too tired to double check my order and I have missed it a few times in the past . Its not right. I just want an easy meal at the end of my day without being ripped off. The tacos are great though i highly recommend the food“

We got Birria tacos, and then 1 lengua, tripa, and lamb. They bring chips to the table too, the portion sizes are very generous, there was enough meat on one taco for 3 tacos at another place!“

“Those chorizo tacos were incredible. I found parking right out front at 5pm, my order was taken at the walk-up window immediately and I was served within 5 minutes.
