“Stopped by Smitty's Clambar, a spot that's been on my radar given my globe-trotting palate. Ordered the fried clams, hoping for a standout experience. They were good, fresh with a non-greasy batter – exactly what you'd expect from a place known for seafood. However, considering the other local joints I've tried, Smitty's clams didn't necessarily stand head and shoulders above. Given the reputation of the place, I was expecting a bit more of a wow factor. The ambiance is nostalgic, and there's a lively buzz that speaks of its popularity. But be prepared: the wait was longer than I'd have liked. If I had to rate my experience, I'd hover around a 3.5 to 4. Not mind-blowing, but certainly not bad. I appreciate the quality, but for a place with Smitty's renown, I was hoping for that extra punch. Still, worth a visit if you're in the area, but manage your expectations. All said and done, every place has its charm, and my journey's far from over. Hey, if you've got that wanderlust itch like me, follow my trail on Google! I'll be serving up more travel tales, dishing out the deets on must-visit spots, and even giving you the scoop on places to sidestep. Buckle up for a fun ride, and here's to more adventures and awesome eats! Cheers to the road less traveled and the stories it unfolds! ?✈️?? (And yes, even to the clams that keep us guessing!) Catch you on the flip side!“

“Food was PHENOMENAL. Blackened Tuna appetizer was incredible. Jersey Crab Cake entree was great, and so was the crab cake sandwich. Outdoor seating was nice. Service was great, although we were served a coleslaw we didn't order and thought it was a part of the dinner (which was added to the bill). The server seemed a little bit overwhelmed (to no fault of hers) and was still fantastic. Would absolutely return.“

“I know it's a thing, presitation is everything but food is piled up too much. I don't want a diner like serving, a dish for everything, something in between. So when you cut into that scrumptious pock chop you don't smush the potatoes. You need room to work your plate. I think you all know what I'm talking about, all the good places are doing it. Get some bigger dishes.“

“Great spot to grab some food and drinks! We were visiting family who live in the area and we stopped in for dinner and drinks. We got lucky and were seated right away near the second bar in the back. Our server was very friendly and attentive. They had a good selection of beers, I had a Mango Cart. They also had some fun mixed drinks on the menu that I hope to try next time. My Buffalo chicken wrap was yummy! It came with a bag of chips but you can upgrade to fries. They had a kids menu, which was appreciated since my son was with us. I know it says it everywhere but just another reminder, it's CASH ONLY. They do have an ATM machine inside.“

“Have always enjoyed the food and service at the pub. Would like to see a change in menu though to bring more variety and lighter fare. More than a single soup would be great, more salad variety and lighter handhelds - grilled chicken, vegetable and shrimp salad for example. Always enjoyed their NE Clam Chowder and beer cheese soup over the years and adding summer soups would be enjoyable.Dietary restrictions: Gluten and dairy free options“

“It was a Saturday, and the place was packed . We were quite lucky to get a table. Despite the crowd, a very noisy one, the service was prompt and friendly. The food was excellent. The burger and fries were great . My wife got a Cuban that was big enough to take half of it home, which I had for lunch the next day and it was still delicious. Next time we are at the shore, we will be back.“

“Enjoyed some apps last night while meeting with a collegue. The salads are very generous and all the ingrediants were fresh. I think the onion rings might be homemade....I've had them a few times over the years and they never disappoint.“

“Traveled to the area for a special event & the night before I found this gem. Their wings are their specialty & I tried their Mild/BBQ sauce, which was amazing!!! Since they're right near the water I then tried the Broiled Flounder, which was wonderful! I even dipped my fries in the extra wing sauce and just wow!! I also enjoyed talking with the Philly Sports fans, they were knowledgeable and very welcoming to this Boston guy. I would absolutely go back next time I'm here!!“

“It was a little loud to a Phillies game at the bar. Our server went above and beyond . I don't usually get gravy, but asked for it on the side. It came in a dish and I was able to bounce utensils on it. The consistency was a thick jello.Kid-friendliness: From the hostess to the server excellent“

“Great place for a casual dinner with friends and family. Lots of tvs around and food is bar beach food. They don't take reservations so in the height of the summer, you may have to wait but grab a drink at the bar or shop downstairs and it's worth it!“

“During our brief visit to Stone Harbor just after Labor Day, we ate here once for lunch and once for dinner. Both times the food was great, drinks were yummy, atmosphere enjoyable, and the service was just fine. Conveniently located in a mall-type area on Stone Harbor's main drag of 96th Street. We will definitely return.“
