“We had a reservation for 7:15 on Valentine’s Day, arrived and checked in around 7:10, the hostess was so friendly and calm considering how packed the little vestibule area was, she said there was a little wait but we were still seated by 7:25, which was perfect. Our waitress, Kimmie was amazing! Obviously it was a very very busy night, kitchen was a little backed up, and they were out of most steaks but we were just enjoying our time together. Kimmie made sure we had a drink or food in front of us the entire time and checked in often. The bussers did a great job making rounds and clearing dishes within minutes of us being finished. We had a great experience and will be back to dine here again.“

“I took my family here for lunch on Saturday. Your manager is the sweetest lady I’ve ever met. She was so hopeful, pointing out new menu items. I think her name is Ester? “New England and Manhatten chowder are amazing. Lots of potatoes and clams. Also, Buffalo tenders have sauce on them and they're still crispy, thats how wings shoild.be made, nobody wants soggy wings. Always a great meal. Clams casino are amazing too. Seafood is always fresh, staff is always pleasant and helpful. We stop for lunch whenever we're in ocean city“

“Stopped in while spending a long weekend at the shore. Local hot spot for sure as they still had a good crowd despite being off season. The wings are definitely a must as they were well seasoned and a nice size. I had the stuffed flounder while husband had the seafood combination. Everything was tasty and the portion sizes were good.“

“Update: went back 2 days later and dumpster smell was gone! I recommend this place for prompt service and consistency with good food always.
Great for a late lunch, after beach and before the drive back to Pennsylvania. The service is always prompt, great crab cake sandwich, chicken sandwiches and fries. The restaurant is clean, maintained well and a nice breeze. One note, while there, this time, we were seated to the back right and every so often could get waft of trash dumpers behind the fenced enclosure. This was the first time we noticed this. we go here several times a year, and have been going here, for many years.“

“Nice open space to spend time with family and friends. Casual. Inside and outside seating. Drinks are a little pricey (but it's Avalon) and there is a 2hr parking limit (street meters). We had finger food and drinks and had a great time sitting at the humongous and beautiful bar.“

“The Water Star Grille is the outdoor restaurant on the bay at the Reeds in stone Harbor. The food is expensive, but that comes with the territory. Our server was very pleasant and the quality of all the food we ordered was great. I was disappointed that you only get 6 oyster half shells for $28.....but I should have asked about quantity before ordering. I am pretty sure that I have never only received 6 oysters when ordering an iced tray of oysters before. The reason to go here for dinner is the view of the sunset over the bay for dinner outside on a beautiful summer day.“

Tino worked with us to make sure we had a wide variety of apps, salads, and entrees. We requested Gulf shrimp and he was able to make that happen for us! Since many of the local steakhouses were closed, we decided to give Sax a try — and we’re so glad we did! From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm and welcoming. Our server, Patrick, was absolutely outstanding. He was attentive, incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and wine list, and even made something as simple as choosing a steak knife a fun and memorable experience. He explained where the knives came from, what they were made of, and offered his favorite — such a unique touch! The food was just as impressive. I went with a mix of apps and a salad — the shrimp cocktail (huge shrimp!), perfectly seared local scallops (I was expecting three and got closer to eight!), and the truffle cheese burrata salad, which was loaded with heirloom tomatoes, arugula, basil, balsamic reduction, sea salt, and basil oil. Everything was fresh and delicious. My husband had the New York Strip with truffle fries and grilled asparagus — a perfectly cooked, hearty steak that left him very satisfied. We left completely full and so happy with our experience. Sax exceeded our expectations in every way, and we’ll definitely be back soon. Highly recommend for both locals and visitors looking for a special dinner spot!“

When the Reeds took over, the pizza got considerably worse, but I was pleasantly surprised this year when they must have changed a recipe and everything tasted amazing. The restaurant has a wonderful view from the outside and the service was fantastic.“
