It was my first time here and the seafood kalguksu was so delicious. It's full of seafood, the broth is delicious, the servers are very friendly, and I highly recommend the soft tofu seafood kalguksu when you're craving something spicy. It's too bad I live far away and can't come often.
I ate at Halmae Noodle recently but I am already thinking about the next time I can come here. Located on Broad Ave, Halmae is a no frills Korean restaurant that specializes in kalguksu. My boyfriend and I ordered the jeyuk and hanchi deopbap respectively. I absolutely loved the hanchi and the contrast of the hot squid with the cold veggies was really nice. This place is a kind of gem. So clean and thoughtful service. The amount of food is a lot and taste is good as well. "Halmae kalgooksoo" is so tasty. I am gonna visit it again soon.
