This breakfast & brunch chain restaurant recently opened within the complex of the Bergen Town Center mall. It is not located inside the mall, but in the lower level parking lot next to Home Goods.

I knew this location was going to be on the money because there was an hour wait when my girlfriend and I checked in.

To entertain yourself while you wait, window in the surrounding stores until you receive a text message alerting you that your table is ready.

When we were seated, I was impressed already. The chairs are comfortable and they automatically provided all three utensils; most places only provide a fork and knife and I always have to request a spoon.

These are a couple of the menu items I explored:

Coffee:
I usually never order coffee whenever I dine out because I am not a fan of milk or half & half. First Watch provides vanilla and hazelnut coffee creamers.

As a bonus, the coffee is served in a refillable carafe ( similar to IHOP); if it is empty, the server will gladly refill it.

Double Bacon Parmesan Hash:
This was a unique, but phenomenal breakfast plate. I knew this signature item was going to be a winner when I saw the sidewalk billboard poster.

It was topped with a vegetable medley, over easy eggs, bacon and smothered in Alfredo sauce. The plate was very filling and I didn’t feel bloated afterwards.

If you decide to dine here, I highly recommend arriving in the morning or early afternoon because they close every day at 2:30 PM.

“From the moment we walked past this place, we could SMELL how special it was… the alluring aroma was hard to stay away from. On a whim, we walked in and were warmly greeted by staff and invited to sit quite promptly despite being so busy. First impression: great!

Service was excellent, and ambiance was very warm. But the food… the food was the star of this place. If you ever pass by this place, PLEASE do yourselves the favor and try the banana oatmeal. It is a perfect treat to end your meal as a pseudo dessert. Anything from this menu will tantalize your tastebuds in a way that will keep you coming back for more.

“What a little hidden gem! From out of town, I needed a quick breakfast bite. Randomly found this place on Google. First off, their ice coffee uses ice coffee cubes?!? Good coffee with the same good coffee ice was such a pleasant surprise. For that alone, I will come back for their ice coffees when I'm back in the area.. Egg/potatoes were also good. Their potatoes were perfect with just the right amount amount green and red pepper accenting each bite. Next time when I'm not running off, I'd like to sit outside at their bistro table in front.“

“Tucked-away Gem!
My husband and I stumbled across this small grill diner hidden in the cut — and what a find! We stopped in for brunch and everything was spot on. He had the shrimp and grits, and I went with the meat lovers with egg whites. Both dishes were so good — seasoned just right and cooked perfectly. “I work in Montvale, NJ and I hear wonderful things about this place. During my lunch hour, I placed an order over the phone and spoke with Emily who was attentive, accommodating and was able to get my custom order perfect. Upon picking up, ammon greeted me quickly and confirmed my order right away. The vegetarian sandwich was amazing and Emily suggested I add the roasted peppers in lieu of the cromini mushrooms. It was amazing and I will be ordering from here again.“

“It was exactly what we expected, a no frills Breakfast & Lunch counter with a handfu of tables. Food was basic and good. I requested eggs scrambled soft and got scrambled soft. The shredded potato were also enjoyed at our table. For atmosphere, the place was worn but clean.“

My husband and I (he tried it, I tasted his) tried a new thing, a bagel with salmon on it. I don't know what it's called but it was phenomenal.
