“Came here on a friends suggestion and it did not disappoint!! It's a small place with a nice bar and some tables to the side. We went early so it was quiet but it was great! They have some local beers which we always love to see small business supporting each other. We settled on some drinks and went over their menu which was impressive. We settled on the eggplant tower special,I ordered pesto salmon, hubby had the clam chowder soup (the size of the bowl was enough for two people) and the lemon sole special with broccoli rabe. There was not one thing we didn't enjoy. Everything was very fresh, not laced with salt and cooked with love. Absolutely delicious!! We were so happy with our choices . I would have given five stars but I have to say it was WAY too cold in there, I had my coat on the entire time so I wasn't really comfortable. I heard the bartender say it was 59 in there. I get the kitchen gets hot but you they need to make sure the customers are comfortable. We honestly would have stayed for one more drink but I have some health issues that get really bad when I'm that cold. I also wish they would have said the eggplant in the tower was breaded . Not that I didn't like it (so tasty) but I am on a diet so i probably would have chosen a salad instead. Place is great and very clean. This will stay on our list if favorite local spots for sure. The prices were very reasonable as well“

I got their special fried chicken sandwich - almost like a Katsu fried chicken. Juicy and moist chicken. Avocado, slightly spicy peppers with this great bacon aioli which was amazing. Only complaint is that for a $15 sandwich there is no side. The burgers come with fries, which were cooked perfectly. The food is fresh and just beautifully constructed - you can tell that they take pride in their food. Love it here!“

“This is a very good old school diner. I've been coming here for years. They are always courteous and the food is reliable. I was in the mood for grilled chicken with honey mustard on a roll. It wasn't on their menu as that but they were more than happy to make it for me. “I just popped in for a burger fries and a drink. Plenty of selection of soft drinks. Burger was NOT frozen and fresh like we all prefer. Fries are crispy and the size is a little bigger than the shoe string fries. Roll lettuce tomato and pickles were as fresh as it gets! Vegan options and Gluten free options too! “Dietary restrictions: I still like the beef but it was actually bison meat. I am on the whole 30 diet. It’s very strict and only allows quality meats, veggies and fruit and that’s it. I was reluctant to get any sort of “fast food”. But I did not find fast food at Bareburger. It’s obviously the highest quality meats and ingredients. I had a double bison burger filled with caramelized onions and avocado and wrapped in collard green wrap. The food was of very high-quality and it was delicious. The bison was lean but not dried out like a hockey puck it was moist and tasty. Overall it was a great choice than a great experience. Even though it was a pick up both the server and bartender that helped me were very helpful and pleasant. As my massage therapist is in town I will be back!“

“This is the first time my husband and I visited this diner. The atmosphere was welcoming. The waitress was very nice and attentive to our table. The food was excellent. We had soup for starters. The white bean soup was excellent. My husband had the Turkey, with avocado, lettuce and tomato, and sweet potato fries, while I had the pastrami with Swiss cheese and curly fries. “I went earlier today(01/15/2023), and this has become my most "NEW FAVORITE HISPANIC FOOD PLACE." The service and hospitality are extremely outstanding. The staff is patient and understanding if you're new and friendly enough to suggest some of the locals' favorites. They have some amazing specials. I loved that the staff was open to customization and embraced my creativity nature. Despite me currently visiting from Las Vegas, NV, I was blown away by the burrito I customized. Granted, it isn't my own creation, although a recreation of an already well-known burrito with accommodation due to my lactose intolerance. It still impressed me for a California style burrito to taste so flavorful without any cheese or sour cream. Even the complimentary chips and salsa were beautifully made. I can't forget about the Orchata as well. It is the best damn Orchta's I ever had! This place is definitely a locals hidden gem that wowed me away. “After reading rave reviews for years, I just tried Grub for the first time. Very impressed overall, which can be challenging with takeout. The steamed shrimp dumplings were fabulous, with big chunks of real shrimp and a delicious dipping sauce. Ditto for the shrimp spring rolls - the sauce was sublime. The Drunken Noodles were very good, with crisp vegetables mixed with noodles that were just the right texture and not overwhelmed by the light, mild soy sauce. The only disappointment was the chicken I ordered with the noodles- it was dry and flavorless. I'll try another protein next time. This restaurant is definitely on my rotation now.“

“This is by far the best IHOP in the area. We cross the GW Bridge from Riverdale to go here, rather than the IHOP a mile away in the Bronx. This place is very different from other Dairy Queens - the ice cream is much better tasting, sundaes are better, blizzards taste better. The hotdogs are 9 inch dogs deep fried until they're crisp on the outside but still soft and juicy on the inside. The spicy onions had kick but weren't overwhelmingly hot. The potato stix topping was interesting. It was fun but I am traditionalist when it comes to my hotdogs. These are good dogs. No doubt about it.“

For me the downside to the food is the lack of the little details that takes a meal from "serviceably enjoyable" to genuinely tasty. Examples: Onions were not caramelized when requested. Cheesesteaks do not make it to both ends of the bread. When crispy fries were asked for they have not been delivered half the time. Little things. But they do make a difference.
