“Huge fan, I’ve never had a bad sandwich at Johnny Hot’s, until today 8/30/24. I was supposed to have just pork roll on a steak roll with spicy mustard, no egg and no cheese. The pork roll is usually cut very thin with a nice braise on it. It had egg & cheese on it. The egg & cheese were warm the meat was cool, no grill color to it. By the time I took the egg & cheese off there was hardly any pork roll, very disappointed. It was “no change” Friday, so I gave my apprentice 15 dollars for a sandwich I couldn’t even eat.“

“Went on the spur of the moment. Ordered an eight piece meal with two sides. Spicy and regular chicken and fries and cole slaw. Delicious! The chicken was fresh, not greasy and crunchy and so very good. The cole slaw was very good and the fries were ok. The staff person was very nice.“

“A small place where half of it is the kitchen. You can’t see them cooking but you can hear them which my girlfriend said is strange but their food is 10/10. It’s not something I’d eat all the time by any means because it is fatty but I truly enjoy it. Usually a late at night indulgence. They also sell cologne.“

“I've only eaten from here recently and I have not been disappointed. For this place to only sell chicken tenders as a meat option, they are the best dang chicken tenders I've eaten. Seasoned well, and, oh so tender! The sauce is a staple of theirs that I love! I ordered extra with my last order. The only thing I don't like is the pricing!!! Why are they so high? I know the tenders are good, but dang! Either way, when I'm hungry and have a taste for those, that's where I'll go. Lol 😆“

“Absolutely amazing vegan tofu and noodle dish with Dan Dan sauce with a nutty tahini flavor and chili oil. Their descriptions are really helpful on the menu. Very glad to have them in south philly near us with so many vegan options and gluten free options on top of the regular menu that my husband chose from.“

“Been coming here forever and long before me my dad’s been coming here while working at Boeing. This place is just as good as it used to be. 10/10 a hidden gem of Delco! Without a doubt, the best macaroni salad you’ll ever have. Tasting it brought me back over 10 years and the hoagies are still the best! I bought lunch today for my contractors doing a training meeting and all of them were ecstatic with the quality of the food and half of them never even heard of this place which made me sad but now they’re gonna be regulars. We got an Italian Panini, Roast beef hoagie provolone cheese, Hot roast beef extra American cheese, Italian hoagie, turkey club no tomatoes on rye bread, Trio special add mortadella, & an Italian tuna. All of them were PERFECT! Ignore those 1 star reviews… they wouldn’t know good food if it bit them on the butt. Make sure you stop in!“

“Hot delicious simple burger! Double cheeseburger with bacon, lettuce, and tomato! The 2 thin patties had a nice char from the flat top. The fries were also very tasty!“

“What more can I say about this establishment. I was blessed to be in the presence of the owner and daughter of this reputable Italian restaurant. When I arrived to the place, I didn't think much of it. I thought it was just another place to buy a cheesesteak. But oh no, was I caught off guard and was very surprised.

I was greeted very well by both, Mr. Vito(aka. "Bert" as everyone calls him) and his daughter. I went to the easy-to-read menu board and ordered a cheesesteak with fries. While I was waiting on my food, I started talking to Mr. Vito (who doesn't like to be called mister) and his daughter and the stories he told me were amazing.

I love the father and daughter interaction while he was telling me his story, and I love how his daughter was backing up his stories. Mr. Vito explained to me about his cooking methods and how he preps for the day, and while I was waiting on my food to be prepared, Mr. Vito showed me the way he cooks.

His daughter is a real salesman, she introduced me to her father's newest creation, "The Vegi Chicken Burger." It's made from real chicken where he pulls out all the fat and other parts of the chicken.

Anyway, I ordered the Vegi Chicken Burger and it was so good. This chicken burger is not a regular chicken patty that you get from some grocery store or food warehouse, this chicken burger is made in house and it's a perfectly thick portion of a patty.

If you need to change how you eat and want food that will not raise your blood pressure, (Vito told me that he does not add seasonings to his food but will add seasoning upon request) then I suggest you come down to Bert's Steak & Sub House, a real and authentic Italian Restaurant.“

“I had the good fortune of staying close to this restaurant when I was up in the area. I absolutely loved everything we tried. So the sweet potatoes, mac n cheese, chicken wings, breakfast, drinks, this special drink the owner’s daughter makes, it was all so delicious! But what makes this place unforgettable, is the staff, it’s clearly a family run restaurant with a family that treats you like one of their own. Plus, unlike a lot of places I ate at in the Philly area, they know how to season food! Oh! I almost forgot! The grits were so good, and also the cheese fries, but the owners son made the best onion rings and sauce I’ve ever had! Seriously such a hidden gem.“

“I stopped here based on others reviews. I agree it’s a decent option for Vegans at Philly airport Terminal F. My dish was the pad Thai with tofu in garlic sauce. Very tasty, mildly spicy. Tofu is very deep fried, only drawback. Fresh vegetables in the bowl were very good.“

They give you salad and a drink with your meal as well. They have a good lineup of drinks like tahitian drink, different fruity flavors of Sunkist, ginger ales, and more. They also sell fish, chicken tenders, Italian sausage sandwiches, hot dogs, mozzarella sticks, and more. Their sweet corn nuggets are so good! Service is always great, very nice and friendly people. “Decent. Fries are plentiful and hot. Enough for 2 ppl. Chicken is good just has alot of fat in the thighs. They sell ice cream and other foods like fried shrimp, fish, ribs, Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes..it looks good but it's best to go around 8 or 9pm. The food I was served was HOT and FRESH!“

“Haven't visited this location in a while. The last few times over the past few years wasn't what i expected and made me not return to this location. Honestly, I just randomly stopped in as I was in the area and was hopeful. When I got my food, it was what I remember five guys used to be, the flavor and quality I expected, and they made me a happy returning customer. I'm not sure if there is new management, new training, new staff. Either way, they provided good customer service and a great burger.“

“I always make sure I get the best fresh chicken from here . I am not gonna lie, its delicious. Crispy , Juicy and Flavorful. The shrimp is good , and also their ice cream . However, I wouldn't waste my time of the pre-made mac and cheese, coleslaw, potato salad this, beef patties that . Yuck . Also the cheesecakes been there forever . No thanks . Maybe thats why it's called crown fried chicken instead.“

“I delivery for this restaurant occasionally with grubhub. Every time I come they are very polite and accommodating and most importantly they proved a clean restroom. I'm on the road all day and that is a very nice accommodation that they provide. Always nice and their customers tip well. I very much thing if you want a classic burger ands shakes then order from them.“
