“I recently ate here with my family, we requested a table of 9 which was accommodated by Mr. Rashid right away. We ordered Channa with puri and halwa, Chicken and Mutton kharahi, chicken charga, and biryani. Both of the kharahi were totally amazing, the taste was the best I’ve had in the Edison area!! The chicken charga was soft and tender with amazing flavor. The service was great, the ambience was good, overall amazing experience. Most importantly the owner was super nice and provided a great service. I totally recommend this place for great food experience.“

“I highly reccomend this place. I didn't have time to cook this day and was running around, but didn't want unhealthy fast food, so stopped in for the first time and had the Lamb/Chicken Gyro.

It was literrally one the best Gyro's I've had. It wasn't that the seasoning was different, it just tasted really fresh, and clean. Everything tasted like it was fresh, the meat, the salad and sauce that came on the Gyro, every part of it tasted really fresh and it was amazing. I've been back twice since and hooked on that Gyro! highly reccomend“

“Recently visited the Rahway location for the 1st time, after hearing good things about them. Super friendly staff to go along with their absolutely delicious meals. I would have taken pics of my meal but it was that good I couldn’t wait to start eating. I ordered the chicken platter and it was well flavored and portions were perfect for me, not to mention the price was reasonable. We also got baklava for dessert and it was the best I’ve had! “This is one of my favorite places to eat when I am in Manhattan. The food is always consistently excellent and the portion sizes for what you pay is very fair. I love both the combination platter and sandwich. I ordered the sandwich this time because I thought the platter would be too much on a hot humid day but the sandwich was perfectly fine. A soft pita was loaded with chopped gyro and chicken with fresh veggies and topped with their white sauce. It was so good and the meats were so juicy and tender. I just love eating it at the cement benches at the tiny park near by and just people watching. It is a real experience and one of the things you need to try when you come to Manhattan and to the MoMA across the street.“

The cheesy garlic naan is default on every order and you can't go wrong with either their vegetarian or meat options. Parking is a little rough but typically not an issue for me as I am always getting takeout.“

“I recently visited Halal Guys and had a great experience! The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The falafel and rice platter was flavorful, and the white sauce was so good that I couldn't get enough of it. The restaurant had a nice casual atmosphere perfect for a quick meal.

Our server, Forrum, was really friendly and attentive. She made sure we had everything we needed and checked in on us throughout our meal. She seemed knowledgeable about the menu and was able to offer recommendations when we were unsure about what to order.

Overall, I would highly recommend Halal Guys for a tasty and filling meal, and Forrum made the experience even better with her excellent service.

“I really enjoyed their food. It is a hidden jewel on South St. Their coffee is good. You have to make it yourself. It is very clean. You can vall ahead and they can have it ready for you just to pick it up. I learn that lunch time is a busy period, so it is to a great advantage calling for pick up.“

“On a work trip and came here every day for lunch due to location. I traveled w a party of 4, so we got to try a variety of their menu items. We did not order anything we were disappointed in. Their menu is huge, but vague. It's always a little surprise to see what actually gets served. Empanadas, beef patty, gyro pizza slices, whiting fish, cheesesteaks, wraps, burgers, chicken parm all delicious. Great prices for everything! In a strip mall next to a convenience store, but don't be fooled. The 2 guys running front of house are also great.“

“Ate here on a weekday night, was pretty quiet. The gentleman working front of house was very attentive and helpful. It was our first time trying this restaurant and our first time having Pakistani cuisine, and we couldn't have been more pleased!

First, we tried the Russian Salad, which was a creamy, slightly peppery fruit and vegetable salad that was a lovely appetizer, and a great way to quench the spiciness between bites of our other dishes.

We ordered the goat karahi and this might have been the best goat dish I've ever tried. The sauce was so flavorful, the meat was so tender, and there was no gamey smell to the meat at all. The spice level was just right for my party (though next time I'll probably get it hot instead of mild).

We also got the Lamb Boti Tikka, which was whole cubes of lamb marinated in a very flavorful and spicy marinade and grilled. At some other places where you get grilled meat, the meat is often flavorless on the inside, but that was not the case here - the marination penetrated all the way through and the entire lamb dish was incredibly flavorful. This one was my favorite, but the people I was dining with preferred the goat karahi.

We also got some plain naan and basmati rice with our food; it was very good and very reasonable for the price.

Overall a great experience, I will be coming back here again and I probably won't be going back to the other Indian restaurants nearby. There's really no reason to when this place exists. The food is of excellent quality, has great flavor, and the prices are reasonable for what you get.

If I had to make any suggestion to this restaurant, I would have loved to hear some Pakistani music while dining. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

“One of the best places to eat in Metuchen nj. The food and service is excellent I have travelled from NYC many times just to eat there.

“So me and my wife never had halal food. We ordered the hot spot platter and we were Blown away they serve you a generous amount of food which is worth the money. They also have sides you can choose to add on like jalapeños and and pickles etc. Everything is fresh like if it was just cut and pickled right then and there I couldn't believe that a small jalapeños piece had so much flavor to it. Definitely will be going back if I could give more than 5 stars I would“

“While the grilled meats are delish, something seems off with rice that comes with the meats, it started smelling later the same day and worse the next.

The breads are delicious plus the humus and babaghanoush. Tried the rice twice. Did a large tray catering and the rice was smelling. Not sure if it's because they are mixing old and new rice or it's just sitting outside in the hot weather. The same day I ordered a single serving meat shawarma with rice and that seemed fine even the next day. So definitely the catered tray was a mostly old rice which is bit disappointing coz their meats (all varieties) are delish!

Sandwiches are the best way to go. Hope they fix giving out old rice otherwise the food is delicious.

“My family loves to get their plain cheese pizza, which they say is delicious, and chicken (which mostly comes out good and is halal), but I personally enjoy their pepperoni pizza! It's hard to find good halal, Italian cuisine. This place is the reason I fell in love with pepperoni on pizza, and the reason I was even able to try it in the first place. The men working there are quite kind too, always ready to serve and crack jokes.

“Food is really good. They are specialists in Biriyani. It’s really good. We tried Goat Biriyani, Goat Qurma and Garlic Butter Naan. We liked all the food. The service person was very friendly. Ambiance can be improved. Overall we really liked this place and definitely visit again soon.“
