“Great and fast service. There are many selections and options you can choose from. The meat is freshly made which I love. Chef said was so helpful and gave great customer service. The prices are reasonable. Atmosphere and service , food was perfect ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️“
“Excellent lamb gyro meal for lunch. Friendly counter staff who took my order. It is self searing after you order. Seats/tables were OK but don’t expect spotlessly clean tables. Bathroom was clean. Good place for lunch.Parking: Next door to Quikchek so you might have to park a little bit away from Quikchek.“
“Finally, a Pakistani/Indian restaurant with food that isn't overshadowed with spices and oil. We visited Madina Fountain BBQ & Grill this evening and were all pleasantly surprised. All 10 of us thoroughly enjoyed the buffet which included fruit chaat, pakoras, chops, biryani, salaan, indo-chinese, haleem and many more dishes. Even my mom who doesn't ever enjoy eating out thought it tasted the closest to homemade that she's had at a restaurant in a very long time. Not a place for fine dining but if you enjoy good food, the rest is easy to overlook. Gracious owners, good service and amazing food! For $25 it's a steal!“
“The food is always excellent, authentic and delicious. It's perfect spice level and taste is excellent.Their seekh kababs are awesome.Owner is very nice and polite. They always give some complementary sweet dish with the order which is really great. one of the Best Pakistani Restaurant in New Jersey.I will highly recommend this place.A delightful experience every time!“
“Current Review -Was in mood for Kabobs in this cold weather and stopped at this place late evening. Ordered Lamb Chops, Lamb Shank Pulao and Chicken Kofta Kabobs.Didn’t disappoint me. Amazing taste, flavorful and had authentic reflections of Mediterranean cuisine. Their Lamb items are the best among the list.Their complementary Bread and Salads with different sauces is noteworthy. My recommendation is Lamb Chops and Lamb Shank Pulao. Shank was so well cooked that the meat was falling off from the bone and literally melting in the mouth. It’s an open casual dining place. Plate portion is good, competitive price for excellent taste and food quality. Customer service was good this time and could be because of less traffic.A must visit is recommended if you crave for Mediterranean food. I will visit again.Review from 2 years ago -We family and friends visit for dinner and tried Chicken Chapli, Lamb Chop, Chicken Lentil Soup and Chicken Gyro. Undoubtedly, the Lentil Soup and Lamb Chop were best from the list. Customer service is not good for family dine-in.“
“Got even better , if thats possible!!!!Great place in Chatham for a chicken sandwich, ranking in my top 3 places. The wings are off the hook as well. Get the fries with the aieilo and chic too. A must try for a fast food option you won't be disappointed. Service is above average and they have a great disposition as well. Makes eating there a more than pleasant experience.Another great time !!!!!!!“
“The OG hot chicken sandwich spot!!! My family and I can't live without Namkeen. Everytime we go, the service is amazing!! They are all such kind people and take such great care of their customers. The waffle sandwich hits EVERY time! The portions are huge and I HIGHLY recommend trying them. So glad they are in central Jersey now :)“
“One of the best Moroccan restaurants in the area. The Chicken Tagine and the Lamb Tagine was excellent and you can enjoy their delicious saffron rice all by itself. The portion sizes are quite hearty and good to share for two people. Get a reservation beforehand if you plan to visit on holidays or the weekend.“
“A Nice Lil Twist to Your Standard Halal... Offering Kale and Spinach and a Few Other Items Not Available Typically... I Split the Greens w Rice... Chicken Was Flavored Well... AND Why NOT Have Grilled Onion and Raw Pickled Onions As MyS3lf... Also They Offer a Thick N Sweet BBQ Sauce Along Side the Standard White... Polite Young Staff...“
“Value for money, tastes great too. We didn't know it was takeout only so we went to a nearby park (luckily it was a good weather day). The bihari kebab and garlic naan really hit the spot.Parking: Only for takeout so few spots available.“
“This restaurant is punching well above its weight. People, don't overthink thiswe got the lamb platter, and a lamb/chicken pizza. generous portion. very affordable pricing. good flavor. best part? the lamb platter is basically a version of nyc halal cart platter. but maybe even better in some ways? pickled cabbage, chick peas, hummus, idk what else. it's a good f-ing platter. Flavor still pretty goodThe pizza? ok not the trattoria style we're used in this area. but also good! $17 for 16", with meat, veggies, and generous but not obscene amount of cheese. c'monon top of all that, they included 2 complimentary sauce cups. one was some sort of black pepper ranch (but not ranch), and the other a fruitier, chutney-ish sort of sauce. they have an interesting flavoroverall, good pricing, and for the pricing, good quality, good flavor, and good portion. more and more, this sort of offering is harder to find in today's economy.food was ready on time. owner was nice. addressed discrepancies with grubhub, made substitutions easy for us and pricing did not changeIf nothing changes we will take out from pita+hummus again and again“
“Wonderful Lebanese counter with 2 tables inside. Their food is fresh and tasty, reasonably priced with meat and vegetarian offerings. Plus, they deliver!Unlike most Middle Eastern shawarma places , they have other Lebanese dishes like moussaka (Lebanese not Greek), and spinach pies, mujaddara, kibbeh and koshari.“
“Grilled chicken PlatterFrom $8.99over basmati rice and salad (Lettuce, Tomato & Cucumber) with grilled Onion & Pepper, White Zone Sauce, Red Zone Sauce (spicy).I ordered from Uber Eats, so I don’t know how the service was, but from the way the place told the person who was bringing the food to hold it, it meant the people care about how one gets their food, which is good. This was my first time trying out this place. A friend who always comes here put me on, and well, I finally got to try it and it was a 10/10. The chicken was seasoned, not too salty, and the white sauce had a little something that makes it different from the other white sauces I get from other halal spots. The sauce alone gets a 10/10 ?. The red zone wasn’t too spicy, but man, it was good. It made me want to order another platter, but this time actually go in person to order it, as I found out they sell drinks that seem to go well with it. The pita bread was soft and came with two pieces, just like in the picture. Honestly, I usually don’t get the tomato and lettuce because I focus on the main things, but when everything is mixed together, it's a gem ?. Definitely check this place out if you live in the area or order from Uber Eats. And the best part is, they aren't expensive. I paid about $12.99 for the platter on Uber Eats, but I swear it’s worth it.“
“I’ve been visiting this place regularly for the past 3 years. Definitely one of the best places to eat at. The food is always delicious and Zuzu and everyone who works there always take care of their customers. 10/10 must try the chicken platter and their pita is surely one of the best ones out “
“Food is always top notch here. My usual go to is the goat biryani medium spicy, which is the perfect level of heat. Hot but not flaming. If you’re lucky, you’ll also get a bit of marrow which, if you’re like me, you’ll love.Their chicken biryani (boneless and bone in varieties) and hariyali kebabs are also great. Get the chicken 65 for a good starter and wash it all down with a mango lassi!“
“We were in the area and decided to check out this place bc of all the great reviews and I’m so glad we did. This place is amazing and the food is so so good!! We ordered the hummus, chicken chapli and beef chapli with qabuli palow (traditional rice with carrots and raisins). It’s so favorable and so fresh. They bring out the largest piece of naan bread ever with your order or hummus and food btw which I totally forgot to take a picture of ??♀️ oh and the people who work here are so lovely!“
“Great dinner! My friends and I enjoyed 5-6 different appetizers, both hot and cold. There are a ton of menu options to choose from. We enjoyed the parsley salad, Laila’s combo which included four different dips (baba ganoush, hummus, muhamara and a yogurt based dip), octopus entree, cauliflower with tahini sauce, and the mini hot pies. All very delicious!! They also had a belly dancer perform through the dinning room. Fun atmosphere. Staff very kind and friendly.“
“From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a warm friendly environment. Usman was an absolutely wonderful host for the evening and made excellent suggestions and even told us a bit about the history of Halal Boyz, the locations, and the larger variety on the menu compared to typical Halal spots. My boyfriend got the chicken and lamb platter with a strip of hot sauce, strip of white sauce, and strip of BBQ sauce. I got the chicken tikka boti platter with white sauce and BBQ sauce. The flavors were outstanding. So many layers of flavor and tender juiciness and fresh veggies my eyes were wide and impressed with every bite. Usman offered us some chai for after our meal and the perfect soothing combination of cardamom, milk, cream, and Delicious tea was the perfect way to end our meal. Serving was plentiful we had left overs to take home and cannot wait for dinner tonight! Epic spot. And can't wait to try his suggestions of other menu items next time we're in the area. Thanks for your hospitality and we will be back!“
“Checked it out because of the high rating on Google. I got the chopped cheese meal (fries & soda) with a fried Chicken drumstick on the side. Only $12.93 for everything! The chopped cheese was awesome, fully loaded texture and flavor bomb on a toasted Italian roll. It took only about 5 minutes to make. The chicken was seasoned nice and was super juicy on the inside yet golden crispy on the outside. I was stoked to try the fries next because there was enough for a family and golden in color. Sadly they were soggy, not fried nearly as long as they should have been and lacked salt. I ate just a few both with and without ketchup and tossed them. This small trendy looking corner store had a couple display cases with mainly fried chicken and desserts offered as grab-n-go. There were 2 thin tables to stand at and eat if desired and quiet with one chef and one cashier. Friendly staff though with great recommendations.Parking: Street parking already taken. Expect to park a block away.“
“Food was hot, delicious, and a great price. You get a lot for what you pay for and you don't see that anywhere anymore. The store is very small. There's one table with 4 seats and 4 seats at the window counter. Most orders are to go anyways so it didn't matter.“
“Clean and comfortable restaurant. Srava the waitress will take the time to explain the menu. He is kind. The food is authentic. I recommend the tilapia dish. It is spice, rich and healthy. 100 stats to this restaurantKid-friendliness: Srava is very friendly“
“If you are a fan of Nandos you will like this place! Dont get me wrong, it's not as good but if you want to save yourself the drive to DC. This is a great option. The fries were out of this world! Ask them to put the seasoned salt on them. The chicken had great flavor but i wish it wasn't just a sauce they put on top vs marinating it with it. The other thing that i noticed is you have to buy majority of the menu items separately, which i didn't like too much.“
“Tired and weary from a 4 hr flight, we got into Newark at 12am. We asked the, at first, grumpy car rental lady if she wanted to go eat with us at White Castle. “OMG, they’re traaaash now,” she said to our horror. She recommended this place and bless her, with her now cheerful disposition (I assume it was because I offered to beat anyone who was rude to her).Being from Arizona, we were not prepared for the treacherous journey to satiate our hunger. But we did conquer the wild roads at now 1am.We were greeted by a cheerful cashier who took our order, thinking nothing of our disheveled looks. We peered around and it had come up that we were from out of state, tired, hungry and terrified of the parking situation we had just faced. We didn’t order the chicken, but had we known it was the best dish on their menu, we would have! He brought us out complementary chicken with some biscuits. My partner and I ravaged the piping hot food and it wasn’t the best fried chicken we had had because we were hungry, but because it was moist, crunchy and flavorful.Thank you! We worried that NJ would be full of creeps, but our first meeting was such a pleasant one, it filled not just our bellies, but our hearts.“
“I really love how they're kind and respectful and just overall really respectful And they asked how was your day and just overall nice and with that bright and shine energy when you just feel down, you can just feel that all happiness come to you and the food is so delicious. I love the coconut Boba and for macaroons that are bought they were so good“
“Probably best meal of our trip. Burger was amazingly seasoned, Fries and Chicken were also very good, service was nice and prompt. Had both bean and beyond burgers, which is a plus for our party of a vegeterian that likes meat and one that doesn't.Vegetarian options: Black Bean and Beyond burgers, plus Paneer wraps and a good variety of sides.Dietary restrictions: Most menu items can be ordered Halal.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu.“
“Had a really good breakfast platter of french toast, cheese eggs, and beef bacon. Everything was made to order. The French toast was really good, it was thicker and more flavorful than expected and the beef bacon was cooked perfectly. It came with about 6 pieces. Also had an order of hot wings which were fried to perfection and tossed in a tangy sauce.10/10They accept applepay“
“Our very first time visiting Mughal. Valentine was great! He was extremely attentive to us and we enjoyed our family dinner. The food was great but most importantly Valentine made our day special by taking care of all the details. All in all wonderful experience.“
“Thanks Yelp for helping us to find Lebanese Eatery. We detoured off 95 to this Staten Island gem, and it was absolutely worth it. Delicious chicken schwarma, cheese manaish, lentil soup & falafel. The staff were incredibly friendly and kind. Truly authentic Lebanese food!“
“Union fried chicken and grill is easily one of favorite food spots in union. The staff is very friendly and put a lot of effort into the cooking. The food is great (the lamb over rice will change your life) and it is a must try place being right on morris ave. They are right next door to a Halal grocery store and they have a nice sized lot in the back as well. If you have not tried the food here, you definitely should. Also don’t be fooled by the name of the store, they have plenty more to offer than just fried chicken.“
“The workers were extremely helpful, impatient, great customer serviceVegetarian options: FalafelParking: Plenty of parkingKid-friendliness: I was able to get my son chicken and rice . He's a toddler and usually picky so I was happy he enjoyed the food“
“Probably the best Goat and lamb curry dishes in the area. Love the sizzling BBQ grilled dishes also. All dishes have lots of flavor with their own specialty spices. For the most part it's not crowded, only on weekends during evening hours. Seemed like I got slightly more food when I did takeout vs dining in. Food is piping hot even after bringing it home. I still prefer to dine in. Fast service and prices are good.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are OK. This restaurant specializes in the majority of non-vegetarians.Kid-friendliness: Brought both my kids, they enjoyed it. I've seen many kids there, friendly environment.“
“recently dined at Tribos Peri Peri and had a delightful experience. From the moment I entered, the ambiance was inviting and the staff, including Shiva, were incredibly welcoming. Shiva's attentive service added to the enjoyment of my meal. I opted for the peri peri chicken, and it was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of spice. The sides were also flavorful and complemented the main dish well. The portion sizes were generous, and the presentation was impressive. Overall, Tribos Peri Peri exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend it to anyone craving delicious peri peri cuisine."??“
“Tried this place today finally after seeing it for months just never worked out to stop but today I did and I'm really glad that I got to. I got the Kings meal which comes with 2 jerk tacos ? a quesdilla Nashville hot chicken on a brioche bun and a chopped cheese on a sesame bun that was nice and crispy on the outside but super soft on the inside everything was more then excellent the jerk chicken is incredible the Nashville hot chicken is out of this world and so is the chopped cheese didn't make it to the quesdilla but I'm sure its on the same level as the tacos has the same jerk chicken next time il get the Nashville hot tho to try 10/10 would recommend to stop for lunch dinner or whenever you are on richmond ave very friendly dudes made all food to perfection and was fast they are there until 2 am he said and they also offer doordash definitely will be going back haven't had food I have been impressed with in a while and this place def hit the spot for sure on his way to being a staple of staten island“
“For $10, the quantity and quality is amazing! - Generous bed of rice on the bottom- Generous amount of protein on top of the rice - Generous amount of sauce Lamb: Was soft and tender, not gamey Chicken: Juicy and tender, definitely taste the spices The man taking orders was very nice. I went on a Wednesday and the wait was about 15-20 minutes, but it is so worth it!“
“This is the first halal Chinese food experience I've ever had. This cash-only establishment has fresh food and competitive prices. The staff isn't very friendly and they're always in some kind of hurry. The restaurant is dated and not very welcoming and there is no dining area. The quality of food and its flavors make up for their other shortcomings. I will return, but with lower expectations.“
“I really enjoyed their food. It is a hidden jewel on South St. Their coffee is good. You have to make it yourself. It is very clean. You can vall ahead and they can have it ready for you just to pick it up. I learn that lunch time is a busy period, so it is to a great advantage calling for pick up.“
“I eat at this location, atleast once a week, when I can make it b4 they close.I was introduced to there food, by my fiance..... i was across the street at the nail salon. And he came with a cheeseburger... i was hooked...That introduction to there food, 2 years ago, has me going back every week.Super friendly, and I walk in, and they ask 1 or 2... lol. There the best tasting food, over any fast food garbage, and they are super friendly, profossional too.And once you get to know these muslims, they will make you laugh.Im not religious, but I have the upmost respect for them. And recommend them to ALL.“
“My brother is a super regular customer, and he introduced me to this amazing place. Food is always delicious, the price is right, and the wait time is convenient. Perfect place for any kind of grab you need, and I guarantee you'll get disappointed.I actually ate from there earlier today, off, course my brother was there as well?“
“PROs - good food (meat) , good service , nice location CONs- not much for veggie lovers First timer .. good location... right on oak tree and park ave . Lots of other shops in this strip mall. Lots of parking ... gets busy on weekends and peak hours .. they also sell baklava and few other sweets ... We ordered gyros .. we also asked for extra meat . So the quantity was really good . We saw them prepare the chicken gyro and it was just awesome . Meat was juicy and tasted perfect . Goes well with rice , salad ... kids liked it . There was felafel but very limited options for veggie lovers. Lots of place to sit and dine . Overall a good spot for a quick lunch.. priced good .“
“For starters, let me just state that this was my first time ever eating African food. I had okra, white rice, and debie. This eatery was highly recommended by a friend, and it was delicious. However, the person cooking was really unpleasant when I returned alone one day, and I nearly decided not to return even though I was really craving it. I returned to give it one last try, and I'm glad I did because I visit this place nearly every week. The individual I interacted with during this interaction was really kind and supportive. I haven't tried anything else on the menu, but the white rice and okra combination is AMAZING. The best part is that there is a lot of food and it is quite reasonably priced.“
“The food here is really good. If you don't mind a few locals crowding around playing their dice games outside sometimes. I'm from the hood so I'm not phased nor easily shook. Besides all that, the food here is pretty solid. You get a bit more then what you pay for and it's always made fresh. Large portions and a lot of options. I love their beef sausage with homefries and eggs. On occasion I enjoy the wings and waffles. They're pretty busy in the morning but I love places like that. It puts me in the frame of mind that the food must be fresh because it hasn't had the chance to be sitting around getting stale. Their iced teas and uptown (lemonade and iced tea mix) are good and sugar loaded. I cut it at home with a bit of water and it goes a long way.“
“O boy, you want a quick bite with healthy meal in reasonable price this is your spot.Stop by for brunch, we had…Halwa poori specialEggs sunny side upPlain parathasTea.The service was quick, the space is small. It’s also a grocery store with goods from Asian countries ( India and Pakistan).A must try spot if you are ever craving fresh poories and parathas!“
“Hiba Hala was the only Hala place open on Thanksgiving, for the ones who didn't celebrate the holiday, they offer great food and service. I didn't get to take a picture, I had egg whites and turkey bacon cause they don't serve sausage for some reason, but ok and French toast. I ate it all before my flight to Jamaica. For a tea and breakfast ran me about $18 that blew my mind, but I did enjoy my food and was just happy they were open.“
“We were working in the area, smelled so good outside how could I not try it. I work all over the state and always try to sample the locals food joints. This place is a hit. I had the beef Gyro. I’ve had gyros all over the state. But this place was the best. Marinated steak over lettuce and tomatoes with the sauce drizzled over top. More than enough food for the price. Highly recommend and I will return whenever I’m in the area.“
“Always my go to spot for hot wings without the sauce. Their deals can't be beat either. The combo they offer with the rolls and fries is delicious. Seems like they might've changed the way they make the wings a little bit. Still good but was expecting a little more of a kick to them.“
“The one and only iconic Halal R Us of Newark. I used to get it all of the time as a Uni student. Highly recommend trying the Gyros, they are delicious. The workers are always friendly, and will quickly get your order to you. The only negative that I can think of is make sure you have access to a bathroom within an hour or two of eating it, or there's going to be some bad news...“
“I went with a diverse party of 10 and we were treated like we were at home. Excellent halal soul food, felt like down home southern cooking. I don't think there's a place representing soul food culture like this in Philadelphia or New York City. Staff and owner were extremely warm and accommodating. Generous and tasty portions. Highly recommend.“
“Usually never write reviews but this place is amazing. Friendly staff. Amazing owners. Everyone here is so nice. They remember your order, food is always fresh and ready early or when it should be when ordering ahead. Great portion size for not a lot of money. You won't be hungry. I get dinner here a few times a week and it never disappoints.“
“The food tastes quite well. Even though they occasionally make mistakes, they will make every effort to fix them if you inform them of it. I've been coming here for years. particularly for the unique Eid brunch. But this review is meant to be read during Ramadan. They provided the food promptly, and it was delicious and fresh. Our server was great, and he quickly tried to adjust our order despite a few mistakes. Overall good service, pricing, and food.“
“I went there for lunch with my wife and was very pleased with everything, The food was delicious and the place was very clean, the family platter is something I would recommend to anyone to try if they decide to visit this restaurant, very big portions are very reasonably priced and we will def visit again in the near future.“
