We ordered ourselves a creme brulee (caramelized on demand by the friendly staff) and an Opera for takeout. Tasty and perfectly sized without being too overbearing or sweet.

My Opera was beautiful. Speckled with gold dust, delicate layers of chocolate, mousse and nutty pastes. So much flavor in each soft spoonful. Exactly what I needed for a birthday treat for myself!“

“This is one of the best cake that I ordered at the last minute (on 16th Jan) and asked them to deliver on 19th Jan which they agreed with whole heartedly where we placed Unicorn (Blueberry flavor) cake for my daughters 5th birthday. “This bagel shop is so good. I own a business right down the road from there and I go to bagel fresh frequently and get a toasted sesame bagel with bacon egg and cheese. It’s delicious. In fact i think they have some of the best breakfast sandwiches around. I really love their bagels. Not to mention, they are always nice when I go in. People say hi and they don’t rush you. 5 star everything!“

A friend of ours took us to this place as it was a completely lacto-vegetarian restaurant/bakery.

We had the following:
1. A pizza: No crest (sauce covers the entire surface) with a nice thick bready base, with Indian sauce on top, creamy and tangy. I wish they had some vegetables also on it, in addition to just a few stray pieces of paneer.
2. A cake slice: A mild Indian-ish flavour.“

“I stopped by GuatePan hoping for breakfast, but unfortunately learned (only after arriving) around 1045-11am that this particular location doesn’t serve it. It wasn’t clearly marked anywhere on the Google maps entry, so that was a bit of a letdown. While not a total loss, the options were limited—especially if you were hoping for something savory.

That said, I gave the tres leches cake a try. At first bite, it was just okay, but as I kept going, it genuinely grew on me. By the last bite, I had to admit: I was a fan. Rich, creamy, and just the right level of sweet—definitely the highlight of the visit.“

“I love this place, however, yesterday I bought one of my favorite pastries at the store the Kouign Maman. The pastry was hard, I did not even realized how hard it was until I got to my destination. I got one for me and my sister and I was embarrassed on how hard they were. Not sure if they were overcooked or was old and they overheated to sell. Just be careful when you buy this pastry, make sure is fresh. So disappointed because it is my favorite :(“

“Not sure if this is actually Hot Breads or a franchise. The associate was courteous but didn't carry most of the popular items. And being a one person do all, it obviously takes longer time. Besides that, the food quality is good.“

In my basket now : fig jam (Lebanon), halva (Egypt), fig cookies (Syria), tea biscuits (Turkey), goat cheese (Syria and Egypt), feta chese (Bulgaria), olives on open (Greece) and not to forget my tiny packets of Giglets chewing gum (Lebanon). (I go there since 1988 and no, I am not a mid-easterner).
I was there today too, a dozen of buckets with all kind of olives : black, raw, pickled, pitted, small, big, stuffed etc.
