“I ate at the Monroe store today. I had never been at a Buubakoos before and did not know what to expect. I had the pork burrito and it was off the hook. The place was spotless and the service was spot on. The manager came over and introduced himself as John and asked if everything was satisfactory, and it was more than satisfactory. You would think John was the owner not just the manager, he cared as if was his own business. It was good to see that. I will be back for sure, my new go to place.“

“Management issue-This is a great spot with great food but they are constantly understaffed on their busiest nights. It’s not fair to the one server they have to handle all the takeout/phones and whole dining room during the rush. I’ve seen customers leave in frustration. They’re losing people over a quick fix of hiring ONE more person to help at least on Tuesdays! Get it together guys.“

“Wasn’t my first time coming here, though it was in a while; during a World Cup night or whatever. I’m going to have some grace in this review, so I do want to admit that I came in 40 minutes before closing, and a lot of restaurants usually close an hour before their “closing time”, so I want to appreciate the fact that I was still served, though it took around 15 minutes for someone to serve us, but what doesn’t make the situation way better is that I have to ask to be served. Okay, I get it. World Cup, maybe understaffed. But the wait was insane. Like, I’ve been to many “Plaza Aztecas”, and I get my food under 15 minutes, even under 8 minutes sometimes. And the wait was literally a wait that I had to ask to be served (2 minutes after asking, I was served). Since I was here before the restaurant closed, I guess the kitchen was running low on their Agua Frescas, and from what I heard, there wasn’t any horchata? Alright cool, I guess. So I ordered my food, and most of it went normally, and it’s great that the waiters/waitress can speak Spanish for non-English speakers, though as I said most it went normal, I didn’t expect my fajitas to come without the veggies, but it was a mistake on my part since I should’ve emphasized I wanted the veggies, and lastly, I didn’t get the flour tortillas I asked for. I just wanted the original fajitas (just the meat and veggies with the flour tortillas)? So communication and customization was my fault. And I want to mention that the fajitas, especially the steak tasted over seasoned. Though you guys could use my review to now ask diners if they want veggies or not to prevent something like this from happening. The bathroom was clean. And since it was World Cup, I’m not sure if there was any music playing, but man, at times, it got pretty loud. Hopefully, next time the experience is as great or better. Thanks for serving me 40 minutes before the restaurant closed.“

“Great experience. We wanted something different than what is offered at rest stops off of 95. This place popped up and we decided to try it out! The guy behind the counter was very friendly and the food was excellent. We got a Chicken Cesar Wrap and a Club Sandwich. They hit the spot! This place really is a “One stop shop”. We forgot to take a picture of the food because we were so hungry. If we are ever traveling this way again, we’ll definitely be back!“

The place has limited about 3-4 people seating with stools on opposite sides of the wall. Tried their beef burrito — total came to $14.75 with a side of Tamarindo. Fair enough by Princeton standards. The taste? Solid. Not something that’ll knock your socks off, but definitely good value for the price. Noticed it’s a spot frequented by Latino customers — so I trust they know the authentic flavors far better than I do as an outsider. All in all, worth the visit if you’re in the area and craving something casual“

“We recently dined at Taste of Mexico and tried the chicken fajitas. The chicken was well seasoned and flavorful, and the rice and beans were a great addition to the overall meal. However, I found the portion of chicken to be small, which was a bit underwhelming. Additionally, the vegetables, which are meant to be a side, ended up taking over the plate. While the overall taste was good, a better balance between the chicken and vegetables would have made this a more enjoyable meal. In addition to the chicken fajitas, we ordered the carne enchiladas, which were served along a bed of rice, beans, and a simple green salad. The grilled pork in the enchiladas was marinated well and juicy. The carne complimented the sautéed tomatoes, onions, and jalepeños tenderly filled inside the enchiladas. The carne enchiladas was a well-sized dish and was quite delectable. Now onto the star of the meal... The Tres Leches Cake. The sponge-like cake, soaked in the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and cream, was a symphony of richness and delight to our taste buds. Despite the prevalence of milk, the dish never felt heavy and continued to be light and luscious till the very last bite.

Vegetarian options: Lots of great vegetarian options. Black/pinto beans, rice, guacamole, vegetable platters, vegetable enchiladas.

Parking: Lots of parking behind(free), paid street parking on the main downtown street and, paid parking garage situated behind the Princeton public Library

Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is primarily flat ground with no steps. There is a slight slope which the restaurant is located on, however this is very slight, but just a FYI!“

“We came for the first time and the restaurant was very clean and welcoming. The menu had a variety of authentic Mexican food. We ordered lengua quesadillas, torta de bistec y bistec entomatado fajitas. We were starving. Omg!! The food arrived hot and fresh. EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS!!! The bread for the torta was toasted and buttered and it tasted like they baked the bread from scratch themselves. A huge plus. The amount of food was very good ?. I love Mexican food pero yesterday it reached another level. So the lengua quesadillas, were out of this world delicious, it was well prepared, seasoned and cooked to perfection ??! Oh and everything had fresh avocado ?, it wasn’t black or sour how other restaurants try to serve you. I will be coming 3X’s a week if not more. Also, did I mention they make pizza!!! “I had been coming since 2021 the food is delicious! I did notice the prices went up a bit, I like how you can come in and pick whatever you want to eat for a quick bite of hardy food. It's already made and they have my favorite all time starch Yuca w red onion! 😋 Sometimes I have to speak a little Spanish to tell them what I want but the cashier is very patient with me and nice.
