“We went last night with our friends for our Anniversaries, first time there, We were very pleased!!!!! Food was Delicious! Service was Awesome! And the atmosphere was warm & comforting We will be back!!!! Wish we knew about this place a lot sooner. I had the chicken Melanese ,which was absolutely out of this world. My husband had the whiskey burger which he loved. My girlfriend had the veggie burger which she loved, and her husband had the salmon which he enjoyed very much for appetizers. We had the Fried Calamari , which was very very good and very tender and the avocado toast, which was out of this world and I had the best white sangria I’ve had in a darn long time. ?????? it couldn’t have been any better. It was just perfect. Thank you. We will see you again.♥️ and our bill was not very high at all. The prices are good. Everything was perfect, the perfect place to celebrate our anniversaries.“

“We got takeout tonight and everything was so good! Lobster egg roll appetizer, Grandma's stuffed pepper with angel hair pasta, burger of the day (Big Apple) and short ribs with side of potato gnocchi (instead of fries). Satisfying and plain old delish. Placed order over phone since some dietary issues and hostess was so polite and nice to deal with!“

“River of Beer does a great job supporting the NJ Craft Beer Brewers. I just wish those same brewers would take their companies offerings more serious and treat it like the incredibly difficult market they are in rather than treat it like a hobby. We have over 200 breweries and just a handful of ones that can compete in flavor with some of the better North East brewers. We need better tasting beer in our backyard.“

“Just what it should be! Comfortable inviting local pub with great food. Wings, burgers, pizzas, salads etc. we ordered 2 kinds of wings, garlic parmesan and buffalo. Super crispy with the right amount of sauce for the flavor and not ruin the crispness!“
“The Smoke Rise inn is the neighborhood's best kept secret This charming building has as much history as it does ambiance It is believed to be a private establishment due to it being behind the Smoke rise community gates but it is open to the public When you walk into the bar area you can't help feeling like you are walking into the tv show cheers Everyone does know your name or will by the time you leave The staff and the usual patrons are extremely friendly and love meeting new folks The bar room is charming with stone and wood walls and a cozy fireplace on the upper seating area There is dining in the gazebo room which is equally as lovely and a bit quieter The food is delicious and the drinks are quite generous The Inn can also accommodate weddings in their ballroom or private parties So if you haven't checked out this fabulous eatery come drop in but make sure you make a reservation on the weekend“

“The Barn is a hidden gem. Had an excellent dinner with the family. The place is just awesome, love the rustic atmosphere. The food was great - Philly cheese steak egg rolls appetizer and the full rack of ribs were excellent. The staff - top notch. Our waitress was amazing along with their runners. Thank you to The Barn for an excellent experience.“
“Honestly I only caught the place for the last hour of the night but I had fun and most importantly actually got that after work drink i was craving. Glad there are a few places open after the regular bar scene or staff (from other bars) would have nowhere to go and sit for one.“

“Just ordered a steak sandwich and French dip. Never got the au jus sauce so my gf drove back to get it and the owner comped the whole bill wow that was just unbelievably nice over a simple sauce. Accidents happen but to get rid of the whole bill for two entrees I am 100% satisfied will be going back for sure. Food was amazing btw 5 stars“

“We joined some family* here for lunch today. The bldg and the grounds were lovely looking. The inside has both banquet rooms for private events as well as a family feel bar and dining area. We were seated right away and the server was very prompt and friendly. Menu although not that large had a good variety. From appetizers and soups to full on entrees there was plenty to choose from. They had several specials to offer today. They are known for the burgers apparently. My aunt and husband both had the Swiss Mountain Burger. Both enjoyed them. Although the cooking between them was a bit different. My husband's was a bit pink IMO but he likes rare so didn't really care. My daughter enjoyed the penne and meatballs from the dedicated kids menu. It came with a drink and dessert. The portion was hearty and she loved the meatball! Dinner rolls on the table were amazing. Mini chibatta style that were crusty in the outside and soft and chewy in the inside. My uncle had the chicken cashew salad. Large salad although looked like only iceberg as the base. Overall filled with plenty of toppings. I enjoyed one of the salmon specials for today. I chose the grilled lemon pepper salmon. All entrees like this are served with either rice or potato and veggies. I had mashed which were very creamy and flavorful. The salmon had good flavor but IMO was cooked just a little too long. It was flaky but the edges seemed a little dry. Overall I'd recommend it but suggest asking for a medium cook. They offered a dessert menu although everyone was full and decided on just some specialty coffee. Most dishes were in the $15-25 range. Overall I'd recommend giving it a try. *Sorry for the lack of pics we were so excited to see our out of town family that I totally forgot!“

“Plan B is Suffern's (and neighboring towns) local watering hole. The food is surprisingly awesome, and the drinks are always cold and delicious. Brandi, Kev, Tiff, Will know what the hell they're doing. And Carlos chefs it up with the best of them in the back. So B COOL or B GONE :) ..I also hear the boys are back in town often at this joint.. but you didn't hear it from me..“

“I had been hearing about the reasonably priced beers at Johnnie's from different people. I was surprised by the size of the place and that they had game room area. There was a mixed crowd of people all seeming to have a great time socializing. We shared a bar pie that was good too.“
