“As a newcomer to Waldwick, we’ve been exploring local restaurants to celebrate our move — and this charming spot definitely stood out. I haven’t been in the U.S. for very long, but this place gave off such a nostalgic, classic diner vibe.
Even though we visited early in the morning, the restaurant was already bustling, which really showed how much the locals love it.
The service was fast and friendly, and the food came out quickly, tasted great, and was very reasonably priced.
It’s the kind of place that makes you want to come back again and again — truly a lovely little gem in town.“

“Stop in soon and see the renovations, beautiful, and the food, yummy and the staff, friendly and the wait time, almost none, and the prices great, the portions ginormas, and the parking, tons of it. Chris, Gerry and the staff are terriffic. Come in a sit a few and chat with them and enjoy a meal. Breakfast, lunch or dinner, you won't regret it!!“

“Last night, my party and I had an extraordinary dining experience at Oakland Diner. The food was absolutely fantastic, and our waitress, Nicole, truly elevated our evening with her exceptional service. Not only was she incredibly sweet, but she also demonstrated unparalleled attentiveness throughout our meal. From promptly fulfilling our requests for extra napkins to ensuring our glasses were never empty, Nicole went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. Thanks to her warm demeanor and impeccable service, our dinner was nothing short of amazing. We are already looking forward to returning, knowing that Nicole will make our next visit just as memorable. She is undoubtedly an asset to the team and deserves all the praise!!“

“Went for lunch on 1/28. Ordered the turkey BLT and the new grilled chicken, bacon avocado sandwich with ranch and bbq sauce. Both were very good and as expected.
The shortfall was the Matzo ball soup. Came out with literally no flavor. The broth was like something out of a can (I’ve had better canned broth) and bright yellow. Nothing to add extra flavor, I guess gone are the days when it had celery, carrot and onion included, at least here.“

“State Line Diner is already, by far, my favorite diner in the area. The food is consistently delicious, the prices are fair, and every server is sweeter than the next. I didn’t think they could get any better—until they found my wallet and kept it safe for me until I called more than 24 HOURS LATER. I’ve been battling a nasty cold and completely out of it! They were truly my saving grace. I would be remiss not to take this opportunity to share my well-deserved praise and let them know how grateful I am.
Kind people, great food, and meaningful service you can truly count on—State Line Diner is unmatched.

“We've eaten there many times. The food is good with large portions and at very reasonable prices. Mohammad the waiter, aka Mo, is exceptionally friendly, attentive, professional and accommodating. His service is fantastic and always with a smile. We've had other waitresses serve us that were not so friendly and their service was very disappointing so we try to go when we know Mo is working. I highly recommend eating there and hopefully you'll get Mo to serve you. It just makes your meal more enjoyable.“

“We could not wait for the Ridge to reopen and it did not disappoint! The renovations have really taken it to the next level. It was our first time back in since they were closed and we had a wonderful experience. Our server knew the menu in and out and looked happy to be work. I started with French onion soup, it was delicious. For my meal I got a grilled buffalo chicken wrap and it was spot on. The chicken was cooked to perfection and the wrap, the lettuce, and the tomatoes were all fresh as could be. My wife got a gyro bowl and instead of gyro meat, she substituted with grilled chicken, it was excellent. The coffee is great, the staff was friendly, and the food was aces, we're so happy the Ridge is back!“

“I was recently here with Corey, Matt, and Rolex Rick for a fine dining experience. Corey got the Matzha Ball Soup. Matt got the tilapia. Rolex Rick got the Cobb salad. I got the cheeseburger deluxe. The four of us concurred that it was nice to watch the trains pass by at local Radburn Station from our booth. We ended the meal with Mai Tais that were as flavorful as our meal.“

“Fantastic food with an updated menu and chef who loves to make the best soup. Ordered two turkey dinner platters for today (Thanksgiving) and there was more food that we could eat so half was left over for later. The food was prepared with care and was sooo good. Thank you guys and gals for helping me to have a wonderful dining experience through out the year and for making our Thanksgiving trouble free giving us more time to visit our friends through out the day.“
