Kid-friendliness: Pretty much everything“

“Ordered takeout for basil fried rice and the taste was pretty decent. Will definitely be back to try the curries. The workers seemed very nice. It’s right by the train station in the little corner so it’s definitely a hidden gem. I will say that parking may be limited because of commuting people parking in the lot. However around the area are plenty of paid parking spots.“

“Can't beleive I've never been here before, but my friend took me here last night and I was very impressed. Chicken satay was delicious, and that peanut sauce! To die for. The massaman short rib was definitely my favorite, and was great with a side od sticky rice. Pad thai was also excellent. Service was great aswell. Wish they had mango sticky rice, but what a great spot!“

Pad see ew and curry rolls were excellent. The duck is unique and has a nice kick of heat.

“I went to Kwan Thai for Mothers day Dinner. Not only the food was incredibly delicious, the staff was wonderful. They accommodated all 12 people of us very well. “I ordered take out and it was insanely delicious!!! I will 100%%%% order again and recommend this place to others. Even the delivery process was spot on. On time- and super nice delivery gentleman. If there takeout was insane I can only imagine what the in-dinning experience is like. I love the fact that they really followed my request. “The food and service are excellent but its incredibly noisy and the further back you are the noisier it gets. I think the cathedral ceiling in the back makes it very echoey. Putting sound dampening tiles on the ceiling or hanging some tapestries on the walls would go a long way to bring down the harsh echo. The food is absolutely delicious, fresh and healthy. If we decide the noise is too much we might resort to only ordering food to pick up and take home. I took off one star for the noise, otherwise its a great place.“

“To me, Thai food is like Chinese takeout. There are restaurants everywhere, but it's difficult to find a place that does it exceptionally well. On a night when my husband and I found ourselves craving some Thai food, we took a chance on the Yelp algorithm of suggestions and landed at the Thai Shack's door.

The weekday lunch special is a great deal. A light salad and spring roll are served with some preselected entrees, and it's here I have to give the peanut dressing some hearty props. I don't know what they put in that sauce, but it was all I could do to keep myself from licking that little bowl clean. For our entrees, we both went with noodles. I was initially disappointed that the serving size seemed smaller than expected, but don't let the plate fool you - it's enough. At least, it was for me because I felt full well before I reached the bottom. My beef pad see ew was incredible, with tender pieces of beef and a delectable sauce that made me want to spoon it over rice. My husband also liked his pad thai, with lots of soft chicken pieces. If we had any compunctions with our meal, it was that our noodles were a little heavily sauced and teetering just slightly on the salty side.

Service here is friendly. That, along with the cozily dressed interior, makes dining in a pleasure. I was especially appreciative that water glasses are filled from water bottles instead of tap (say what you want about food in Jersey, but the taste of its unfiltered tap water is absolute trash). The kind woman who took our order was open to small customizations (such as undressed salad and added spice in my pad see ew, which is normally presented as a non-spicy dish).“

“This Thai food place have far exceeded my initial expectation. This is perhaps my new favorite Thai food place in NJ. At first, I thought this was just a regular/average Thai food take out restaurant at a grocery store or shopping plaza. But I was wrong. The Thai food here seems to be more authentic rather than localized, which I quite enjoy. As for the service, it's great. The gentlemen who takes order at the front is always friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place to those who are just looking for some solid Thai food at a good value.“

“Great delicious chinese food I had pork fried rice and General Chaos Chicken with wonton soup and an egg roll . Everything was very good as far as the food . The bathroom was smelling like mold and area where you eat was ok atmosphere not great but food was great . Service was good lady brought our food to the table which was nice of her. its not a place where they have waitresses its order at the counter only to go or eat in . Place is open later than most restaurants in the area too and alot of parking on the street.“
