“This joint was jumping at 8 PM on a Saturday night. As usual, great authentic Cuban food at an affordable price. The manager was great & recommended the pork tenderloin special which was awesome. Highly recommend & definitely have a reservation.“

I had a chicken mofongo. It comes with good sauce.

“Great food and great service. The food reminds me of home and is reasonably priced. We keep coming back for the ox tail stew, ribs, beef steak, porkchops, dumplings and the boneless chicharonnes de pollo. Most meals are served with white or yellow rice and beans or vegetables. If you want to try something different, they have the beef liver and squid ink fried rice which remind me of squid ink Paella. The combination meals are a great option to try out different dishes. The staff and owners always greet you with a warm welcome.“

“It's a small but charming little Cuban Cafe and Restaurant. Seating is limited to a cozy corner with a compact sofa and chairs. The coffee is delicious and Breakfast. The rest of the menu are fried delectable Latin meats like pork, fried plantain, longaniza etc... They also have options to order large trays, which is perfect for party's.“

“The food was extremely flavorful and delicious. If I am back in NJ I will come back for sure.
As a vegetarian I got served a meal that had meat in it. It was a large order so I don't fully fault them. I'm sure if I had ordered on my own they would have said something.

Vegetarian options: Not much for vegetarians and my rice ended up having meat in it. It was a large order so I don't fully blame them“

“This place is great! I prefer to come here than noches de Colombia. There prices are far better and you can order a baby churrasco with rice and beans and yucca for 12$ so yes visit. The big churrasco for two is 24$ a steal! They also have 7$ plates that are comforting and filling. Support your local businesses. Visit these folks good hard working people“

“Hace poco hice un pedido para un evento social familiar por un valor de $540 pero decidí pagar con mi tarjeta de crédito, obviamente me cobran el impuesto tax 6.625% de venta, sin embargo, tuvieron el descaro de cobrarme un 2.9% adicional por el uso de la tarjeta de crédito. Cuando les pregunté, me dijeron que había un cajero (ATM) automático que podía usar, por lo tanto si lo pagaría en efectivo y solo pagaría $ 540. Parece obvio que están tratando de estafar el impuesto sobre las ventas del gobierno. en cualquier caso, la comida no era tan buena y nunca volveré a ellos. Buen trabajo para estafar a los clientes pidiéndoles efectivo en lugar de pagar una factura de tarjeta de crédito.“

“This is a family favorite! Since the food is fresh and very cheap compare to today’s prices within other restaurants around the same area. It could be better flavored, but they have their own seasoning. My favorite dish would have to be the Mangu with eggs, cheese and salami for breakfast. Cannot for get their oatmeal drink& hot chocolate.

Kid-friendliness: You can bring your kids and eat with family if that’s your preference. They do have kids seats.“

“This place is one of the best places to have a healthy lunch in West New York. I am amazed that it doesn't have any review yet. I tried fish and also lunch specials twice out three times being there, I recommend fish and cow tail. A nice girl works there having very helpful attitude toward customers (unfortunately I don't remember her name but you will find her at lunch). You might have a little bit of problem communicating in english, but all of the times that I had lunch there, they prepared exactly what I meant. A meal size was more than enough for me and I am not skinny, unhealthy or anything. Did I mention the price? it is worth every penny.“

I used the automated screen and had to follow up for my order to be dispatched. Several clients came in after me and ordered with the cashier and their orders were expedited. “Used to be my favorite place and ordered river vale at least 2-3x per week but hadn't ordered for a long time until recently i had craving for their ox tail combo and Cuban sandwich. sadly no more ox tail and both puerco asado shredded pork dish and Cuban pork were so bland and dry and burnt with the pressed bread which was like a stale burnt roll with 1 or 2 pickles..thats it. was disappointed the puerco asado dish didn't even come with rice and beans as was used to be included in the past. and no phone number available to call and talk to someone. very sad because used to be one of my favorites and probably will not try again.“
