“I love coming to Tandoori Chef for dinner. The restaurant has 4 booth-like tables and has excellent service as well as a nice expansive menu with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. This authentic Indian restaurant has a very friendly staff that is accommodating when asked for recommendations or extra pitas or sauce. \n\nAlso a great take-out restaurant with food ready in 20 minutes or less. Plenty of parking in Maplewood Village.“

“This place is excellent. I bought my friend from Japan with his family and was happy to take them to Cornbread for some authentic soul food. Needless to say my friend and his family loved the experience. They were finishing a road trip throughout the US and they thought the food at Cornbread was some of the best they had in their month long journery. The turkey wings were particularly good and I'm saying this as a person who is mostly vegetarian. Service was also excellent with attentive help and the servers were conversational and friendly with my friends and I. Bathrooms were also very clean. I wholeheartedly recommend Cornbread Montclair as a solid business and a great place for delicious Soul Food.“

Whether we get take out or dine in, the staff is extremely friendly, the food is fresh and flavorful, the music is calming jazz and the booths are so comfortable. We have many favorite dishes @ we especially love the thickness & taste of the raita. We highly recommend this restaurant, and we also enjoyed it 25 years ago when it was Begum Palace. Friendly staff, delicious Beyond Burger wrap w sweet potato tots, and a deeeeelish freshly made strawberry lemonade. Highly recommend! I’m keeping this place in my fav saves. I got the original chicken with rice platters and one chicken mix gyro wrap. Excellent and momma is really hard to please. We’re transplants from NYC and with NYC being at the top of the dining out / take home capital it is tough for many States and counties to compete with the flavor and cooking styles easily found in NYC just around every corner.

OMGRYRO easily hits all the marks with the exception of the Jerk Chicken. Jerk Chicken flavor profile is no bueno in my humble opinion and that is because it doesn’t come close to tasting like jerk seasoning and can’t compare to true jerk style flavor.

Everything else is we ordered and devoured tasted great, high on flavor with decent portion sizes.

Hope they put the Jerk Season flavor to the chicken NYC style.“

From the wait staff to the kitchen staff to management, everyone was incredibly friendly, unbelievably accommodating when it came to food allergies (they came out to talk about everything in specific detail to make sure it was safe before it was cooked and served), and the food was absolutely delicious!! I would absolutely recommend trying Marakesh out if you haven't been. They will be more than happy to go over the menu and explain anything you might not recognize or need changed because of restrictions. You can also call ahead so it can be prepped ahead of time for you. I will definitely be back again!!“
