“All the dishes were fantastic, but my favorite was the tandoori lamb kebab, it was absolutely delicious. The exterior was perfectly crispy, yet the meat remained tender and juicy. If you love lamb, you definitely need to try it. I ate an entire pound on my own. The guyru laghman was also great, with rich and flavorful seasoning. While the other dishes might not have been as remarkable, they were still well above average. The only thing that didn’t suit my taste was their dessert. The dessert was overly sweet, almost excessively so, though that might be their signature style. As for the service, it seems like only their daughter speaks English, but her voice is quite soft, and it feels like she’s contributing to the family business out of obligation. However, this doesn’t affect anything, I’d still go back again.“

“I am a chicken girl and can completely without reservation recommend any and all chicken dishes and sandwiches on the menu. I have had them all over and over. Also the French fries and green salad. They are my go to usually twice a week.Believe the listed menu needs to be updated price wise but still the best deals in town. A HuGE plus you have the Richard Tucker (google him) Park right across the street for seating. Linda“

“GERMAN DONER KEBAB - AN ENLIGHTENMENT If you're from Berlin, it feels like there's a kebab store on every other corner. So I can recognize and judge a kebab when I see it. Even just leaving Berlin and Brandenburg, the kebab experience changes within Germany. The further you get away from Berlin, the worse the kebabs get. Some time ago in New York, I discovered one or two places trying to make a kebab. Unfortunately, I have not yet been able to find a proper kebab in New York, despite the name kebab. What was being sold was called a kebab, but had very little to do with a kebab and tasted even less like a kebab. All the more enlightenment then... the recommendation of a friend living in Brooklyn. "German Doner Kebab" in Brooklyn. And then the first kebab there since 2018 here in New York. I can't even describe how happy I was. It looked like a kebab, it tasted like a kebab and came pretty close to a kebab from Berlin. Really well made. Incl. tax 12.51 dollars is a bit steep, but still good value for New York. The portion was good and filling. Everything is really fresh and well seasoned. The bread was just as it should be, thin and crispy. This was pretty much the best kebab I've had in a very, very long time (with the exception of one visit to Berlin). I will definitely go back there again. In New York entdeckte ich schon vor einiger Zeit den einen oder anderen Anbieter mit dem Versuch, einen Döner zu machen. Bisher konnte ich leider in New York trotz Bezeichnung Döner keinen ordentlichen Döner entdecken. Das was da verkauft wurde, heißt zwar Döner, hatte mit Döner aber recht wenig zu tun und schmeckte noch viel weniger nach einem Döner. Um so mehr dann die Erleuchtung... die Empfehlung eines Freundes in Brooklyn lebend. "German Doner Kebab" in Brooklyn. Und dort dann der erste Döner seit 2018 hier in New York. “Butter chicken, goat doori kebab is to die for. Roomali Roti - just had it after ages. No doubt NYC has an Indian restaurant which can compete with the likes of Dum Pukht in India.“

“We drove out of town for this restaurant and it was well worth it. The mint lemonade drink has the perfect balance of sweet and sour and the food was delicious. The food is especially perfect for larger crowds that want to share food. The staff are very friendly and fast in getting your order and bringing out the food to you. I also really admired the beautiful decor inside. If we lived closer we definitely would come to this restaurant all the time but since it is a very long drive we still plan on coming at least once a month.“

“We went to River Edge branch on Friday night - the music and atmosphere are great.Restaurant is beautiful. They have very good singer/DJ, people were dancing till very late. Food is good too - we ordered lamb shish kebab, fried potatoes, stuffed mushrooms, samsa, some salads - everything was delicious. Highly recommended.“

“I’ve been on the lookout for a great Döner shop ever since I returned from Germany years ago, and this place truly hit the mark. The service was excellent, the food was incredibly flavorful, and the prices were very reasonable. We each ordered the House Made Döner with chicken and all the toppings, and it was absolutely delicious! The quality and authenticity brought back fond memories of Germany. I would gladly return and recommend it to anyone seeking a genuine Döner experience.“

“FIRST OF ALL this came highly recommended by a friend of mine and now I highly recommend it.
The Tamarind Margarita is remarkable and as a Private Chef , I mean that! The tikka masala with Lamb met me with satisfaction I have not experienced before BECAUSE every piece of lamb was tender and cooked with care not to mention THAT SAUCE!!!!! hits different and worth swallowing. The basmati rice not a favorite of mine because too “Shelly” BUT THIS BASMATI surprised me with Ever so moist plump grains worth eating. Try the fried momos - just lovely!
Last but not least, the rasmalai is the creamiest river of Indian ambrosia from the deities I swear!
I left out 1 star because of the scan method which is a bother to me but that’s just me. Other than that fly trough the holland tunnel as soon as you can to EMPYREAN INDIAN KITCHEN- is a must!

“First time trying both the Chicken & Beef Doner Boxes.I was pleasantly surprised how GOOD everything was! The flavourful meats with fresh veggies and feta, with or without sauces, all combined with the unique bread is a great new dinning experience unlike anything else. I highly recommend giving this a try ! We will definitely be return customers ! The ladies were quite helpful and informative about the food and it's history as well as super nice !“

“The more convenient place for me than the Clifton London, although I like the atmosphere of the Clifton restaurant a little better. The food though is always good and service is pretty attentive either or not they are busy. The Montclair spot has a very nice outdoors seating section in the back.
Parking can be iffy as it's on-street and there are other restaurants in the area and close spaces seem to get taken quickly. However, if you don't mind a small walk there are plenty of lots and side streets in the area, just mind the meter requirements.“

“Soooo happy my husband and I find this gem of a restaurant! Best Iranian food ever! I don't eat red meat or pork, so I stick to chicken and let me tell you I could eat the chicken kebab and saffron rice every single day of my life I swear!😋 The bread is Persian bread, I can't think of the name, but omg delish! We eat inside atleast twice a week, the restaurant is always clean and spotless, and Ellie is our usual server: she's truly the greatest! Friendly, Efficient and just the sweetest young woman to talk to. All of the young ladies that work there are super sweet. With the world being so crazy and backwards right now, It's really nice to know we have a quiet little spot we can go to enjoy a great meal in such authentic atmosphere!“
