“R Bar is always a joy! New Orleans is one of my favorite cities, so it's nice to step into R Bar when I'm in the gumbo, second line band, gritty state of mind. The drinks are fabulous (Fireside Chat) and the seafood gumbo is the best in the land. Service is always great and do catch the Ocean Ave Stompers there if you ever get a chance! It turns into a mini Mardi Gras! It's one of those places where you want it to be popular so it thrives and stays around for years and years, yet you don't want it to get too popular so that it becomes snooty like every other popular NJ restaurant. Here's to R Bar keeping an eye on the Bourbon Street cam and to keeping it tasty and humble!“

“I can't say enough good things about this place, obviously a waterfront beach bar has an amazing view and cool atmosphere, they're constantly hosting events, live music, which attracts a great crowd as well. And by the way, in my opinion as far as bar food goes they're top tier. Not just burgers and chicken fingers but kabobs and short ribs and things you typically see as bar food. Awesome bar food, get a spot on a couch in front of a fire pit next to the water with live music... hard to beat that“

“On an ordinary day, we go here for beers and a burger with cottage fries and always have the best time. I have to mention this weekend specifically though because we had our wedding after party here. The owner, Kevin, is truly one of the nicest people and always provides service with a genuine smile. He is courteous and made all of our family and friends feel welcome and well taken care of throughout our evening. Even in the busiest moments, Kevin and staff managed to be accommodating and attentive. Cannot say enough enough about this place, the family and the staff. Wonderful!“

“I love buffalo chicken sandwiches and have gone as far as Philadelphia to get one. However, I recently tried a buffalo chicken sandwich at Nicholas. I was speechless…literally. My brain instantly went into survival mode trying to calculate how and why this sandwich was at least ten times better than any other buffalo chicken sandwich I have ever eaten. Not even a close second place. Game changing. Life changing. It’s like I knew nothing about buffalo chicken a moment before taking a bite. I was humbled instantly. “Went because it is listed as being on Diners Drive-ins and Dives. Was greeted as soon as we entered by a friendly bartender. All servers and bartenders are fun and pleasant. The food was much better than I thought it was going to be. Two drinks, appetizers and entrees for 2 people and it was under $100!!! Will go again.“

I guess it would be good bar food, but the fries weren't seasoned, so it was good with the sauce they put on, but when we got fries with the sandwich, the plain fries were unseasoned. We didnt really think this should be under "dive bar" so yea. Refers to food as nips and idk if it was the chicken tenders or just some other item used“

“Went to the Boardwalk Boggie party at Low Dive on Sunday. Absolutely had the best time time I’ve ever had n Asbury Park . The crowd was really fun everyone was there to have a good time . Super super fun and the cocktails were well made . Run don’t walk to Low Dive . If you are fortunate enough to be around on a Sunday night do not miss Boardwalk Boogie it’s a real good time !“

He took the whole crew to Murphy’s Tavern with the promise that they’d get a taste of a local legend: a good old-fashioned speakeasy tucked away in the basement of a house, right in the heart of a residential neighborhood.
