“Several years ago, with an apparent ownership or management change, we had the worst meal and dining experience ever. We had refused to return. Yesterday, having had our 4th of July cookout earlier in the weekend, we decided to give them an opportunity to reclaim past glory. Well, were we surprised. While the dining room was, as we expected, empty of diners for the 4th, a healthy delivery and take-out flow was apparent. We each ordered from the Specials menu featuring hand-made noodles. My Cumin Beef and Won Ton soup was terrific! My wife’s meal, though slightly oily for her taste, was likewise a hit. The apparently well-regarded Sushi bar looked professional and appetizing. Our server listened carefully to our order preferences and all was delivered promptly and correct. There are two menus. One with largely classic Chinese-American usuals and the other with two pages of authentic Chinese variants. Don’t miss the hand-made noodles!“

“I eat here as often as I can and every time has been a great experience. It’s a great self service restaurant where you can enjoy some alone time in a nice, clean environment and eat a hearty meal.

Some of my favorite entrees include the Spicy Asian Noodles, the Soft Tofu Stew with seafood, the Black Bean Noodles, any of the K-Maki/Kimbap, and the Sweet and Sour Pork, which is especially great because you can choose to have the sauce on the side so it stays crispy when you take home leftovers. The Hot Stone Bibimbap also seems to be quite popular, but I’ve yet to try it—no matter what you order, you can count on it being tasty and authentic. The portion sizes are also quite large for the price, which I appreciate.

Additionally, the service is great and the workers are all very nice. The owner is especially attentive, always noticing whether you may need extra serving spoons, baby utensils, etc. She also remembers every customer and their specific food preferences and treats everyone so kindly.

“The place is actually rarely that busy and not to come off as like really picky, but sometimes it feels like it takes a while for the drinks to be made considering the lack of customers, but it really makes up for it in the flavour. The drinks are super good. I mean personally I get the mangonada. It's not spicy at all. I mean it's stacking. It's not going to be spicy but it's still really good. I am hoping to try the other drinks though. There's an Asian dude that works there. He's super chill. Usually works to register. He's always super nice and was very helpful in letting us choose when it was our first time going there

Kid-friendliness: I mean it's a bunch of sweets. The kids are bound to like it“

“I love their garlic shrimp with scallops menu item. I always get it for take-out. I have eaten at least 20 of them. There is a problem with their packaging. They put the food into a white plastic container that ALWAYS leaks. The container is not water-proof. They put the white container into a brown bag and put that into a plastic bag. The sauce leaks from the white container through the brown bag and into the plastic bag. When I open the white container, I get sauce from the bottom of the container all over my kitchen counter and have a mess to clean up. I have seen other take-out containers and NONE of them ever leak. This business needs to get a liquid-proof or water-proof container to put the food in so the sauce does not leak out. Wake up please!!!!!!!!!!!

I ordered a take-out today July 31, 2024 and was surprised to see they have a new container that, when held upright, does not leak. One good step in the right direction. I wish they would go one more step and use a truly watertight container. Many restaurants use waterproof containers so an even better type of container does exist.“

“Midori Japanese Restaurant is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. The ambiance is cozy yet stylish, perfect for a relaxed dining experience.

We started with the miso soup and gyoza, both of which were perfectly seasoned and delicious. The sushi was the real highlight — so fresh and beautifully presented. I highly recommend trying their specialty rolls; the Midori Roll was a flavor explosion!

The portion sizes are generous, and the quality of the ingredients is top-notch. For anyone looking for an authentic and reasonably priced Japanese meal, this place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!
