“daFilippo's is a hidden gem of a restaurant that has been my family's special occasion standard for many year's. The Northern Italian menu which changes to focus on only the freshest ingredients has a little Swiss influence and is presented with an artistic touch and personal care. Last evening I hosted sixteen business associates in the back room which has an iron gate for privacy. Filippo presented a five course meal which blew everyone away followed by him playing a few songs on the Piano. The Chicken or Cod dishes were pan seared to perfection. daFilippo's is a BYOB restaurant which I Love. My wife remarked how clean the restrooms are kept. Plenty of parking in the rear of the building. In closing, if you are looking for a family owned, unique restaurant where the owner chef touches every plate to ensure perfection then this is the place to make a reservation.”

“Not only are the burgers reasonably priced, but they are pretty darn good too. Quick service. Lots of people get take-out but you can et in diner-like setting. You can order burger from the adjacent bar, but not the other way around [no beer in the burger joint].”

“So grateful to Café Picasso for making my birthday dinner last Friday night a wonderful experience! The food was absolutely delicious and the service was above and beyond! It's dimly lit inside which made reading the menu a bit challenging. However, everything we did order made up for it! I highly recommend the Frittura di Calamari for an appetizer. The following dishes we ordered were spectacular! Rigatoni alla Vodka, Penne alla Grotta, Gnocchi Alessandra, Norwegian Salmon (special), Penne al Forno, Spaghetti alla Carbonara and the Pollo alla Francese! It is a BYOB establishment, luckily there is a wine and spirits store next door. My family will definitely be returning to this beautiful gem in the heart of Somerville!”

“Kyma is the reason we drive 30 minutes for amazing authentic Greek cuisine. Our appetizer/small plate of smoked eggplant dip & lamb empanada with herb mint sauce was a wonderful start. Sea bass in tomato broth with potatoes & Aegean shrimp dish were perfectly prepared. We had to have the baklava with vanilla ice cream (no pic as we attacked it!). The ambience, service and food made for a beautiful meal!”

“Great coffee shop! Everything is organic in the shop. Love their cold brew Shandy, which you can customize with their various organic syrups throughout the entire year. Also their bacon breakfast sandwich and large crumble cookies (they have four or five different kinds) are to die for. And their organic lemonade is also awesome! And the barista’s know their stuff. I also like their grab and go organic sandwiches.”

“My wife and I had Sunday brunch. I had the bulgogi skirt steak with kimchi. The steak was perfectly cooked to medium/medium rare and delicious! The kimichi was good, and the spicy cucumbers were excellent. My fried egg was cooked exactly to order. My wife had the portobello sandwich which she really enjoyed. We got the Bloody flight and all four were really tasty and very interesting. It was a busy afternoon, but our service was still fantastic, and our food was out promptly. I highly recommend Project PUB!”

“Fantastic fresh juices and smoothies, made right in front of you! It’s awesome to have a place like this in Somerville, and the owner Dorcas was so friendly and helpful as well. The only slight downside for me was that the prices are a tad high for my liking, $6-$8 for most drinks, but it’s understandable given the product and location. They are also going to be opening a salad bar soon, and I am excited to continue to support Vita Centro in the future!”

“I can only speak for their burgers, and it was delicious! Cooked just right, juicy and full of flavor. The fries were golden brown, crispy and delicious! I almost order the sweet potato fries as well but that's for another time. They have a bunch of signature burgers to choose from or create your own. They have regular french fries or sweet potato fries as well as a few other side options I don't recall. The person who served me was polite, patient, and attentive. Location I was at is in Somerville and the outside ambience and neighborhood this time of the year really make for a good experience. I guess it's their official or unofficial Town square where you'll find a bunch of different shops and places to sit any or listen to the live band that they have playing.”

“We walked into this place last minute on a Friday night to celebrate my birthday since another sushi place had been unable to accommodate gf. We could not have stumbled upon a better experience! Elan at the sushi bar made us a custom omakase tasting all gluten free and so delicious. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and really created a one of a kind meal while making us feel special and taken care of. We ended up with about 15 different courses i believe all fabulous and ended with a special ice cream sushi dessert. Best part was it’s been a bit since we ended and i still feel great, stuffed but i can tell it was celiac safe! We will definitely be back!”

“I had my husband 60th birthday party in the Banquet Room. Giving the BIGGEST shout out Jen, Spencer and John who made it the best party ever. Walked me through every step from planning, ordering and choosing the right menu. It was the greatest party by far that we ever had. Bigger shout out to the bartender Julia and hostess Gabby. They are truly the best we ever had. The food was delicious and plates never empty. The party was a great success thanks to all at Alfonso's. Highly recommended. All you have to do is show up and they handle everything. Everyone who attended all commented how great of a party it was. I was so proud to have chosen Alfonso's. Thank you all!!!!!”

“We came at 6 p.m. ,put our name in and were told we had a 20 min. wait. After 20 min. I went to check and was told then that there were reservations ahead of us that had to be seated. If we had been told this we wouldn't have waited. We found this very rude and unprofessional and we will not be choosing sara janes again.”

If you're looking for more than just a quick bite Cafe Picasso's has been my all time favorite Italian restaurant for MANY years. Anything I order there is AMAZING and you leave with plenty of left overs for lunch the next day! They also have great specials during the week, we love going on Thurs nights for their date night special! ... and to top it off it's BYOB, you really can't get any better!! I've gladly referred many of my clients to these restaurants!”
