“I came to visit some friends and they said we have to go Jersey mikes because I wanted a sandwich. Omg the staff was friendly and attentive to me and my order, the young lady Shantel definitely deserves a bonus!!! She was kind, engaging, knowledgeable about her sandwich’s and the toppings and her recommendations were on point. She was engaging with her coworkers and she cleans up a lot and you can see she’s clean, and her parents raised a beautiful young lady with her mannerisms. She recommended a sandwich each to my friends and I and we all loved it!!! Can’t wait to came back and support this clean and delicious sandwiches. Now whoever is this young lady boss she deserves a bonus because she loves her job, the people and runs a clean and wonderful establishment!!! The other staff was also friendly, knowledgeable and dedicated to their job!!!! I’ll give 1000 stars if it lets me“

“There were 3 young men working when I arrived on Thursday to pick up lunch for my co-workers and I. They were all very nice and helpful as it was my first time there. One cooked our food, one rang me up and gave me menues for home and work, and one invited me back over the weekend for a charity event they were sponsoring. Kudos to all of you! I brought the sandwiches back to work, and everyone absolutely loved it! All of the food was so fresh and delicious! We even ordered again the next day! You guys made regular customers out of all of us! Thanks again!“

“Heard a lot about the subs at this place, so decided to stop by on our return trip from Connecticut.
For the money you get Generous Amount of Meat and toppings. Very small, Clean, Friendly and BUSY little spot.
I had the All Italian meat combo large sandwich (14 inch) be careful to be really hungry to finish it.

“This place is proof that a chain sub store can be just as good, if not better, than an independent Italian deli. The food is delicious, the people are very friendly, always. Never a mess up! It’s also very clean if you’re looking to sit and eat inside. Plenty of parking as it is in a large strip mall which includes a shop rite. Super fast and delicious!“

“Tucked in a corner of Walmart, the space is adequate for a good 20 min meal. Friendly staff. Usually has veggie patties and vegetarian options.
Every time I visit this store, I feel sure about the options I can get.

“I had a pork roll with eggs and the eggs were cooked perfectly for a breakfast sandwich; jammy and just a little runny. Not enough to make a mess of my hands while I ate, but enough to sauce up the roll. Super delicious. They're also arranged on the sandwich so you get a bite of egg yolk in most bites, which is the optimal bite of a breakfast sandwich, imo.It's a cute little restaurant, too. Not a ton of seating inside, but the funky art on almost every surface of the walls gives you plenty to look at while you scarf down whatever tasty things you decide to order. I'm pretty confident it's all delicious, if the other food is anything like my breakfast.“

“I went to Just Subs to place an order for a gathering involving a large number of people. I had reviewed the menu and had come up with a figure of $300.00, which by my calculations would provide enough subs, salads and sides for all involved. Probably with some left over. Joe the owner and his employee Desire questioned me about the number of people I wished to serve, and at that point told me that I was ordering too much food! Upon Joe's advice, I ordered a menu which came to a final total of $215.00! Everything was delicious, and there was some left over, just as Joe supposed there would be. It was a nice, professional gesture on his part, and a good way to treat a customer.“

“I went to Subworks recently, and it was great! The staff was super friendly, and the service was quick. They have a lot of sub options, and the portions are really big.

I tried the Buffalo Chicken sub, and it was so tasty! The bread was fresh and crispy, and the meats and veggies were really good. Everything was balanced perfectly, and they didn’t hold back on the ingredients.

The place was clean and comfortable, which made the experience even better. Overall, I think Subworks is a great spot if you want a filling, delicious sub at a good price. I’ll definitely be back!“

“If you want a great, "old school" alternative to Tastees, this is the spot! I don't think they've changed the menu board since the 80s, maybe earlier. Handmade with care and attention to detail, the sandwiches are delicious and fresh. There are very few healthy beverage options, but Bai water is one and a good selection of flavors available. Friendly service and vintage interior decor make this sandwich shop a great stop along Woodbridge Avenue. Pictured is the tuna with pickles on the side.“

“I came in on Saturday for a quick meal and was completely satisfied with everything. The girl working there was attentive to my requests and made the sandwich just how I wanted. “We order subs form here at least twice a month. Subs are always pretty good BUT today I ordered a meatball sub.. All I can say is it was the nastiest meatball sub I ever ate! I’m sure the meatball sub from WaWa is much better. The sub contained a crap load of sauce and mushed meat not even meatballs. The meat tasted like the cheap meat from a can. Every time I think of it I want to vomit 🤮!!!! I normally place online orders but today I went in. They don’t even put paper down while making your sandwich they place the bread on the counter and slide it from one side to the other. I didn’t complain since it looked clean BUT I will Not be ordering from there again. What a waste of $15. I tried giving the rest to my dog but he didn’t even eat it. He put it in his mouth then spit it back out. If a dog won’t eat what does that tell you???! I would really like a refund but reality I know I ain’t going to get one. So I will WARN all those who like meatball subs DO NOT go to Jersey Mikes in Matawan. They truly suck. I can’t get the nasty meat flavor out of my mouth. Smh I hope the cheese steak I picked up for my husband is good......“
