I got the original chicken with rice platters and one chicken mix gyro wrap. Excellent and momma is really hard to please. We’re transplants from NYC and with NYC being at the top of the dining out / take home capital it is tough for many States and counties to compete with the flavor and cooking styles easily found in NYC just around every corner.

OMGRYRO easily hits all the marks with the exception of the Jerk Chicken. Jerk Chicken flavor profile is no bueno in my humble opinion and that is because it doesn’t come close to tasting like jerk seasoning and can’t compare to true jerk style flavor.

Everything else is we ordered and devoured tasted great, high on flavor with decent portion sizes.

Hope they put the Jerk Season flavor to the chicken NYC style.“

My husband and i had the beef gyro let me tell you it was packed with flavor, the portions were generous, and the prices were very fair. And the staff? So sweet and caring, we felt genuinely welcomed. One of the best halal meals we've had in a while, and the mint lemonade was the perfect refreshing finish. Highly recommend stopping by you’ll leave with a full belly and a big smile! a great place to. My husband and i we're definitely coming back for a delicious meal 🥙“

“Jersey Boys Kitchen is a typical halal place with some extra offerings. I had the chicken platter on my visit and also ordered a buffalo chicken slice. The slice was good, but it was not as spicy as other buffalo chicken slices that I've had before. The chicken platter was good. The chicken itself was a bit dry and when tasted without the white sauce was somewhat bland. All together the platter tasted very good and the portion was as you would expect from a halal place—big. The service was quick and easy. There wasn't a memorable interaction, but my food came out quick and was packed correctly with utensils. All in all, this was a good place to eat with some room for improvement.“

“I ordered Chicken Biryani and Chicken Kabab through Uber Eats. After I ordered , I realized that I forgot to order Nan. So I called the restaurant and ask them that what can I do now. The person(probably the owner) replied , I will add Nan and whenever you visit, give me 2 Dollars. That was really a nice gesture which I will remember and must appreciate(along with the debt on me).

“Humble seems to be the best word to summarize this restaurant. The men who run it seem to have a great rapport with their customers; they’ve been there for 20+ years and it shows. They were kind and accomodating. The food was plated carefully and was pretty taste. My only complaints were putting margarine on my pancakes without asking and the tiny plastic utensils, which left my hands covered in syrup. However both of those go to the restaurant being unpretentious. There’s no atmoshere to speak of but it was clean. I’d eat here again but probably wouldn’t go out of my way.“

“I like their wings,cakes,cabbage, beef sausage egg & cheese, and smoothies. I don't like the potato salad, macaroni salad was too sweet for me. Mac&cheese didn't have the flavor I was expecting although the texture was there.“

Service: Mohammad served us, he is a very funny guy. Knew how to keep a conversation while also keeping things professional and making us laugh. 10/10.

“This place is a gem!! a must eat!! We found it through Uber Eats and ordered 1x. It was so good. The portions were amazing. Portions are like something grandma would serve her hungry kids. We visited and now I frequent it almost daily! Homefries platter is not for the faint of heart. You've got to have a hearty appetite or share it out. Grits platter...well...something of a southern treasure! Beef bacon egg and cheese sandwich is always a perfect on the run, goodie! We tried the shrimp over rice and that was nice. Chicken over rice was even better as it had a slight kick to it. And again, no matter what you order, bring a healthy appetite cause you're gonna need it and a long nap, after! These guys are amazing!! Truly! They're sweet! They're efficient! They can throw down on that gril!! Yummmmm Oh...and if you've never had it, their lemon ginger drink is amazeballs!! This place really is a gem in the middle of a jungle 😆 Visit them and be kind! Far too many ppl are not kind or feel entitled to speak to them ill mannered. Please don't! “After a tasty round of appetizers including tangy baked Fava beans, creamy smooth hummus, baba ghanoush and crispy on the outside, soft on the inside falafel, we feasted on two lamb dishes, one of which was perfectly grilled, and an order of couscous with vegetables. I still remember today how great everything tasted. Service was friendly and efficient and the decor included lamps and accessories imported from Morocco. Portions were generous and they provide containers for the leftovers. You can only eat so much! Highly recommended.“

“Loved the food — both the buffet and à la carte options are great. The buffet had a nice mix of dishes and everything tasted super fresh and flavorful. You can tell they use quality ingredients.

The à la carte parathas were hot, crispy, and stuffed perfectly — definitely comfort food done right. Staff was friendly and service was quick too.

“Best waffles I’ve ever had. Not sure what they put in the batter but I’ve never had a waffle that tastes as good as the ones here.

All the other breakfast sandwiches are also really good, and the prices are very reasonable. I’ve only had their breakfast so I can’t comment on their other food.

I’d mostly recommend takeout here, yes there is a seating area but it’s kind of small.

“I am from Montclair but travel to Newark often for their chicken, mac and cheese, onion rings, pizza and shrimp. Yum. Their employees are wonderful. The restaurant is busy because their food is worth it. It is inappropriate for anyone to suggest that their location means they should sell their good food for cheap.“

There was no one in there when I first went in, but boy did that change quickly. About 5 minutes later, it was like a family gathering full of people who did not know one another, but we had one thing in common. WE LOVE THAT CHICKEN 😂!! Y'all, we talked about the chicken and how good it is. We even stayed until a fresh batch came out. We laughed and brought up memories of the 2 staff that were still there since our younger aging, me now 50. The point is to get there and get THAT CHICKEN!! OH, the chicken steak was delicious as well. I loved that it was not dry. Also, try the pizza with the beef pepperoni slices.🤤🤤😁😍🍗🍕

“Always friendly and service is good. Food cooked and ready for pickup promptly. I love the board where you can add a sadaqa (charity) meal for someone to eat. You purchase an item on the menu and pin it to the board. When someone comes in who is needy, They just pick a ticket from the board and they can eat. What a novel idea to spread around.“
