“My family and I had frequented La Fontana (Strathmere) for over 20 years. What drew us back for some time was the humbleness of fine Italian food mixed with genuinely kind and low keyed charismatic servers. There was unfortunately a shift in management. Our relationship with La Fontana changed. Our final dinner at La Fontana (Strathmere) ended with the general restaurant manager having an explosive fit directed toward two life long friends in their mid-80s.“

“We make a trip to The Village Kitchen every year—both on our way to Cape May, NJ and on the way back—and it never disappoints. The food is consistently outstanding, and the service is just as excellent. This cozy spot is a hidden gem for breakfast and lunch. The chipped beef, in particular, is absolutely outstanding—easily one of the best we’ve had. Highly recommended!“

“I ate here for the first time this summer when the first place I tried to go to had a line. I don't care how good the pizza is, I refuse to wait until a dozen or so people are done taking their time eating before I get seated. So I decided to come here and got the last available table without a wait.
Because one of my kids only eats plain, we had to get a plain pizza. It was gigantic. Biggest pizza I've seen before. The paper plates we were given were not quite enough to hold a slice, so we cut the ends off and finished them with the rest. It tasted good despite no toppings, and you can watch them make the pizza if you want.
The way you get your food is different, though. At the other pizza place we went to before, a waitress comes around like at a restaurant. Here, you have to order what you want where you walk in, and then sit down. They bring the pizza to your table, but be sure there's room. Not a big deal, but if you're not used to it, like we weren't, you could spend some time waiting for someone to take your order, and that person won't come. You have to get your own drinks to take with you, so be sure you have your entire order ready to go and pay for after you grab a table.
Between three of us, we couldn't finish the pie we got, so had to take the rest home, and it was fine the next day with a little oven reheating. Just be ready to have almost no room at your table once you get the pizza, as it's huge.“

The wings are definitely a must as they were well seasoned and a nice size. I had the stuffed flounder while husband had the seafood combination. “Absolutely love the outdoor space! Interior is spacious, well-lit and beautifully decorated. The beertender, Jamie was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Only had time for one flight, so I'd like to get back to try more. Of the 4 beers that I tried, Manatee Milk was my favorite. My favorite feature of the brewery, and it's outdoor space, is the roll-up windows with bar seating. I see this a lot at breweries in Florida and it's a nice touch. Look forward to visiting again in the future.“

“We have been here several times. The food is delicious. Spouse has gluten allergy and the staff is EXTREMELY careful and hand deliver her meal separately. She has NEVER had an issue. Mac and cheese and pulled pork is her favorite. Tonight a vacationing family was dining in. A young man ordered a sandwich that had the kitchen sink on it. It was fun to watch him try eating it. He was 1/2 way done before we left. But was slowing down. I hope he made it. The staff is always top notch and it’s a fun place to relax and have great food. Try them. You won’t be disappointed.“

We asked the bartender if we could leave our car there because we were gonna get an uber home, he said we could leave the car there and no need for an uber he would take us home. “Worst experience of my life! I had my micro wedding here and was charged for things I didn't get. No drinks were verbally offered they just had a separate table with pitchers of water on it. We paid $100 extra to have a table set up with lemonade and or iced tea pre ceremony. I was supposed to be able to set up my wedding favors on this table as well. The seafood dish was supposed to have scallops in it and we noticed they omitted them. In the private beach area where we were supposed to have our ceremony they had an event going on up to 15 minutes before my ceremony. They had picnic tables alongside the ceremony just overlaping and pushed against the fence I had to ask them to move so they would not be in my pictures. I had barely any time to set up decorations. The air-conditioning was broke supposedly in the whole restaurant they could not even provide fans so my guests were very hot and uncomfortable. The upstairs was supposed to be our rain plan but we asked if we could have everything up there and the GM would not allow us to move to the upstairs that was air-conditioned and not being used but I was allowed to change into my dress upstairs. We were told it cost more to have it upstairs. I felt like considering the air conditioner not working they should have moved us. Honestly I could go on and on but I'm too exhausted! I felt like I missed out on a lot of photo opportunities and moments bc of how hot and uncomfortable everyone was!“
