“It was my first time there, and the lady who identified herself as the owner (Kelly) was very pleasant and helpful. She took her time explaining the drinks and their ingredients to me. I left there with 3 orders??‍♀️. The drinks were so good. Directions from Google were confusing. If you know the area, Highland Bubble Tea is on the opposite end of the bridge where Jersey Boys Pizza is located.
It can be tricky if you don't know the area. It's almost across from the new Performing Arts Center in Avenel! So, if you're looking at the PAC from Avenel St., in Avenel, Highland Bubble Tea is on your left side, across the street b4 going down the bridge. Lots of drinks and tasty snacks to enjoy. I didn't give it 5 stars because of the parking and the difficulty in finding it. Enjoy!!!“

“Been here many times now.

PROS:
1. Kim and her husband Mr. Fu run the place and are great. My son dropped one of the sauces all over the floor, and they cleaned it up for him with a smile.
2. SO many topping options to choose from - and you can put in as many as you want. So the poke bowl portions are very generous.
3. The ambiance is cozy and open. We've eaten here with family and friends on more than one occassion.

CONS:
1. Their sushi burrito isn't as big as, let's say, a Chipotle burrito. So don't be expecting that. We stick with the build your own poke bowls and always enjoy it.

And the owner Mo introduced himself and was clearly passionate about his business. I was waiting on by Ella and she spent the time talking to my son about his sports. The business is very clean and they have so many selections. We all had the rolled ice cream but I noticed people in the store getting boba tea. “I ordered takeout today and it was fabulous! For some reason I thought that the menu was just dumplings and never looked further but it is so much more! The quality and completeness of my order was refreshing. I got the Bao Entree Deluxe (with no green peppers), the Pepper Steak for my green pepper loving friend, and the Bao Sampler platter (came with 2 dipping sauces). “I’ve been here once in person but have gotten Uber Eats from them multiple times. I always get the beef noodle soup. The broth is the best part and they give you a good amount of fresh vegetables. The beef slices are well seasoned. Noodles are okay but that’s because I get delivery and it is clumped together by the time I get my food, but it is still very good. The soy milk is traditional and I love it. Desserts are great too !“

I tried their Taro slush with black pearls. The amount and the quantity does not match at such an affordable price they give so much ! It was delicious and can’t wait to try their other items! They have a table in the front you can enjoy your treat. Definitely check them out especially since the warm weather is coming !“
