“My four year old was adamant that he wanted a rocket ship ice cream cake for his birthday. I called a 11 ice cream cake shops in the area only to be told that it was impossible without the right mold. One place even asked me to order a mold for them and they would see if they could make the cake but wanted to charge double for the effort. I randomly found this Carvel in Hackensack and after explaining what I wanted, one of the staff members brainstormed ways to make the cake come to life. I sent them a picture and out came the best rocket ship ice cream cake that anyone had ever eaten! The cake looked beautiful, tasted delicious and most importantly, my child was super happy. I will always place cake orders with you guys!“

“I seriously can’t say enough good things about this bakery! The second I walked in, I was already obsessed with how cute and cozy it was. The aesthetic is absolutely beautiful, and honestly, I wanted to move in. 😂 You can tell everyone who works there puts so much love and hard work into everything they make. The cakes are actual works of art—I almost felt guilty cutting into mine… almost. 😅 They looked incredible and somehow tasted even better. The staff was so friendly and welcoming that it felt like they genuinely wanted you there, which is rare these days. If you’re looking for a bakery that’ll make your taste buds happy and your camera roll even happier, this is the place. The chocolate is that damn good! Just be warned… you’ll probably leave with more treats than you planned. (No regrets though!)“

They’re not overly sweet — just the right balance. The almond flavor is so rich and comforting, and the cherry adds this slight sour touch that makes everything come together beautifully. It’s such an amazing combination.

I drove twice in 2 days to grab cupcakes and cookies… I cannot say what’s my favourite out of the cupcake, the brownies, the cookies etc because everything was decadent and not too sweet. You taste the quality of the ingredients and the love they put while cooking them. The fact that Carrie was answering me while the business is close is a sign that she’s passionate and that she care about her client. They’re on the expensive side compared to other bakery, but once you compare you understand why… You taste the butter in everything! Tangy Raspberry preserves made from scratch by Jaclyn as well between the layers. Everyone who ate a piece of my birthday cake could not be more satisfied with the level of artistry in the decoration as well as the execution of the taste of the cake itself. I was looking for a special place to take my family out for dinner because it was my oldest son's birthday. I also read the history of this beautiful place, Father a Son team and it sounded like something down our alley and my son would really love to experience. Oh my goodness! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with such a warm and welcoming attitude. We were seated in the best spot, and they even brought out a high chair for my grandson. We try to put him in high chairs but he just doesn't like them. This little guy wants to be a big boy already😂❤️ Our waiter, Ali I believe that was his name, was absolutely the best! He was so approachable, funny, and well mannered with all of us. He even joked around with my grandson, which made the experience even more special. Thank u! Everything we had was delicious! From the warm bread with olives and olive oil to the appetizers, to our main dishes and oh my goodness, those drinks🍹 They were to die for! Now that's what I call, “Call me an Uber!” 😂 They definitely were not stingy with the alcohol, and those drinks were so good! 😉 They even brought out a little dessert for my son to celebrate his birthday, and it was so, so good and absolutely delicious! 🎂❤️ I rate this restaurant 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. “Excellent bakery. Lots of quality and a nice variety of baked goods. My only complaint is that even though the espresso I had was made correctly, I didn't feel the "taste" was there. Must be a domestically made coffee. Wish they would use a true Italian espresso like Illy at the least. Other than that I'll be back.“

“Delillo pastry shop is one of those neighborhood gems to sit and enjoy exceptional coffee and pastries that are out of this world in quality. We highly enjoyed their Eclairs and Cappuccinos. They also sell a variety of Torrone flavors and we bought several as a gift for family.

The shop employees were so nice and helpful as well. This is truly a great place to stop and sit either inside, or out on the patio, and enjoy true Italian pastry. The only downside is that our stomachs ran out of room!

It was nice to know that they also ship out of state! We will certainly be getting more in future.“

“This place I just saw on the Map with 5 Stars so I went to see for my self, they have freezes full of different types of ready to go Ice cream, Cones, cups and sandwiches. But I asked for a banana split which it was delicious. They can scoop different flavors or they have the soft ice-cream machine as well. The Lady was very friendly and nice. She looked like she enjoyed decorating the desert. I will go back again and they deserve 10 Stars.“
